Sakurai did what seemed impossible and created the Super Smash Bros. game that all fans wanted. It has hours of content for single player, a great multiplayer experience and a fast paced combat that competitive players will love. Sadly, its online is far from perfect.

Super Mario 3D World is one of the best platformers ever. Period. It is a formidable testament in creative level design that shows everything a Mario Bros. game should be. Bowser's Fury is an interesting experiment that tries to take the 3D World engine into an open world. The result is fun, but lacks the polish that made 3D World a classic. A must own game for Switch owners.

Chained Echoes is fantastic. Not only does it capture what made 90s JRPGs special, but it elevates and modernizes it to deliver an unforgettable experience. With an engaging narrative, attractive characters, a well-built world, and a combat system full of good ideas, it has become one of the best JRPGs I've played in over a decade. Chained Echoes didn't copy old JRPGs, it understood them to create something that lives up to their legacy.

By fully taking advantage of its medium Fire Emblem: Three Houses tells a compelling story and makes you feel part of it by letting you take a side in a complex and morally grey conflict. Gameplay wise, Thee Houses delivers a fun and accessible strategy RPG that has everything that Fire Emblem fans have loved through the years. One of the best Nintendo Switch exclusives so far.

By staying true to its roots and adding some modern design elements, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age stands as a compelling JRPG that is a perfect starting point for any gamer that wants to know what the Dragon Quest craze in Japan is all about. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening it's a phenomenal remake of a timeless classic. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade looks great with better textures and lighting. Also, having the option to play it at 60 fps is a god send and makes it the definitive edition of a modern classic. INTERmission is a nice extra that fans of the JRPG can't afford to miss.

Psychonauts 2 exists and it is almost a miracle that we have it in our hands. It seemed that its genre was dead to many and the failure of its first installment made us understand why no money-gowned wanted to touch the franchise even with a stick. That said, the collective effort of the community; the enormous talent and heart of the Double Fine team and the work of Xbox Game Studios made it happen. It's an excellent game that I'll be grateful for proving that 3D platformers can be more than just toys for kids.
