Crazy Zen Mini Golf serves up a triple bogey, with an awful camera and game-breaking glitches among its worst offenses.

This action game is aptly named, as it is indeed a mess.

Garage Mechanic Simulator takes an uneventful premise and wraps it in an aesthetically uninteresting package with an embarrassing user interface. When it comes to fundamentals, console polish, and stand out features, this game is out of gas. It's so boring, I'm taking my business to another garage.

Redneck Skeet Shooting blunders on such a fundamental level that, I'm surprised it even reached the eShop from mobile without more adjustments. A game with such low quality simply doesn't belong on the Nintendo Switch. Dull as dishwater, Redneck Skeet Shooting is, sadly, simply horrible.

2 / 10.0 - Art Sqool
Dec 28, 2020

Art Sqool fails as both an "art school simulator" and a video game. There's nothing educational here, and its gameplay is the equivalent of scribbles I might've drawn as a toddler.

2 / 10.0 - GoFishing 3D
Jun 26, 2019

Which isn't to say there's anything inherently wrong with GoFishing 3D's simple approach… but that only works when the game is actually good. The devs need to look at the level of quality or lack thereof. Just because a game can coast on mobile doesn't mean it's the right choice for the Switch. GoFishing 3D is just too poor on so many levels. Not to mention it is absurdly priced, making it only worthwhile as a catch and release game to those wanting an overpriced chuckle.

3 / 10.0 - Moto Roader MC
Mar 9, 2022

Moto Roader MC is a poor title. With little in the way of quality updates or polish, this game should've stayed a 30-year relic. Even at its budget price, I'd skip this sloppy update.

Serenity Forge has had a hand in bringing some of my favorite games to the Nintendo Switch. But Date Night Bowling feels like an unfinished proof of concept and failed to hold my interest. It's a bush league release with much room for improvement. One could argue that it's a better alternative than going to a real-life alley and running the risk of catching COVID. But given that choice, I think I'd rather skip bowling altogether.

Emily Archer and the Curse of Tutankhamun could've been a solid game for genre fans, even with its age. But with so many bugs, there's no way I can recommend this Switch version in its current state. It's a weak port of a game best left on the Nintendo DS.

3 / 10.0 - Freddy Spaghetti
Jan 26, 2021

When it comes to polish, Freddy Spaghetti is molto al dente. Until this game gets a patch to fix its game-breaking bugs, I can't recommend it on the Nintendo Switch, even for only $4.99.

3 / 10.0 - Maze

Maze didn't live up to my expectations in the slightest. Its aims are too modest, and its execution too lacking.

3 / 10.0 - Prehistoric Dude
Aug 24, 2020

Unfortunately, Prehistoric Dude's problems aren't minor. Lots of annoyances add up to make this a small game that I disliked. It has a real need for additional polish.

3 / 10.0 - Reed Remastered
Feb 21, 2020

Reed Remastered doesn't do much of anything to leave a positive impression. Platformers (even one-hit-kill ones like this) are a dime a dozen on the Nintendo Switch. How does this one hope to stand out with the multiple ways it comes up short? I was hoping for better; I didn't have fun playing it.

3 / 10.0 - Just Glide
Jan 30, 2020

Just Glide does nothing to stand out from the crowd, unfortunately. It feels like a game that's five years too late. Download the free version on mobile if you're curious, as that is the much more appropriate platform for such a meager offering.

By all means, download  Angry Bunnies: Colossal Carrot Crusade for free. But after an hour or so, give or take, you'll likely have had your fill. Even at its best, this was a subpar clone, and now (with paid DLC and microtransactions) it's well past its shelf life.

Johnny Turbo's Arcade: Express Raider really should've been part of a compilation as it's nowhere near strong enough to stand on its own. It failed to stir up anything close to enthusiasm while I played it, so naturally, it's tough for me to generate much excitement with this review. Flying Tiger Entertainment thankfully has much better Data East games in their Johnny Turbo line like Joe and Mac, Sly Spy, and Super Burger Time, which makes Express Raider that much easier to ignore.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2 doesn't even have local multiplayer unless you have two systems and two copies of the game, which is one of the most ridiculous things I've seen of late! The polish, quality, and most of all fun, simply isn't here. At a whopping $59.99, this is an easy pass.

Limited characters is an issue, but not the only one. The Language of Love has no choices, and thus no replay value. It's passive, except to hit a button or tap the touch screen to advance the story; this might work were the plot aces, but that's not the case. So, this one fares poorly compared to other VNs on the Switch.

3.5 / 10.0 - Bounty Battle
Oct 5, 2020

Can I give Bounty Battle a slight recommendation for character diversity alone? No, I can't. There are excessive issues through and through, including (but certainly not limited to) lack of fluency, gameplay variety, and depth.

3.5 / 10.0 - FoxyLand
Dec 11, 2019

Even though it's markedly short, FoxyLand quickly grows repetitive. Basic equals dull in this case.
