4.2 / 5.0 - Wartales
Apr 20, 2023

The more you play Wartales, the more you’ll find that many of the mechanics get deeper and deeper. The game is enjoyable as a whole. RPG-style strategy games are always more fun when played with a large group of people, and Wartales delivers on that front. It’s not a heavy RPG by any means—the story and dialogue are pretty sparse—but the turn-based combat is where it shines.

The Banner Saga 2 is an actual testament to what a great game can achieve, regardless of its precedence. On top of that, the game feels extraordinarily well written, actions actually do matter, decisions carry on and the graphics and music are amazing.

82 / 100 - Goodbye Deponia
Oct 29, 2013

It’s understandable that every finale contains a few dramatic moments, but Goodbye Deponia seems to have a little too many. This makes the story bump a little, while some scenarios had too many dramatic situations and some didn’t.

Humankind is not a civilization killer but perhaps it doesn’t have to be. It has enough complexity and differences to stand on its own.

BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light is an excellent JRPG that although doesn’t hit every right note to become an instant classic or part of the hall of fame in the genre.

Bright Memory: Infinite is a fun experience, yes, but a brief and inconsistent one. The stealth segment is completely unnecessary.

Undoubtedly it’s one of the more clever games that I’ve played in many years. Many have compared The Flame in the Flood with Don’t Starve due to the nature of both games, but I’ve found this gameplay experience quite unique.

78 / 100 - NBA 2K22

NBA 2K22 is a nice addition to the franchise even though PlayStation 4 players get the shorter straw in terms of content.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s Choice is an excellent addition to the series, albeit one that comes half a decade too late. Not that it feels dated, but the huge gap between the two makes it feel awkward and out of place at times.

75 / 100 - The Last Blade 2

The Last Blade 2 is a must-play title if you’re into fighting games, samurai games or if you want to make a trip down memory lane. The cross-platform compatibility functions are really something amazing and they should set a standard for most games of this kind.

Blackwell Epiphany may not be the best ending of the Blackwell series, but it’s totally worth playing. It takes you inside the story by introducing fantastic music and dialogue.

75 / 100 - Diablo IV
Jun 8, 2023

Diablo IV is a good APRG as a whole, and the late-game material will keep you coming back for more, and unlike previous Diablo games, it will attract players unfamiliar with the series. However, the quality and popularity of that season's content will determine the show's long-term viability. The core content of Diablo IV is good, and while I believe there's space for improvements and I wish Blizzard had taken some bigger strokes and tried some more original ideas, they still could have used some work. The game is a lot of fun if you're an ARPG fan, and its attention to detail will impress you.
