Luigi's Mansion on 3DS is strictly a remake for people who either no longer have a copy of Luigi's Mansion or have never played it before. To anyone who still has their original Gamecube copy, just play that; the additions are not worth $40. It's still a great game by all accounts because the design of the game is fun and it is completely playable, but the controls in this version are just awful and with Dark Moon on the same console there's absolutely no excuse for that.
Only the hardest of hardcore Warriors fans should even look at this title. Otherwise, there’s better games of this type from the exact same people.
Adventure Time fans deserve better.
Return of the Obra Dinn is a unique experience worth every penny. I can’t recommend this game enough. There is nothing quite like it.
Anyone looking for a fun time with friends or a new breed of arcade shooter should pick up Rival Megagun and any fan of game music should definitely listen to Dominic Ninmark’s soundtrack. Stellar work all around.
Overall this pack wasn’t as great as Volume 1.
It’s hard to recommend this title at $60 to anyone but the hardest of hard core EDF fans.
If GRIS goes on sale I would say pick it up if the art style seems appealing, but otherwise don’t look to GRIS to be the new LIMBO or INSIDE because the puzzles aren’t as deep and the gameplay isn’t as prevalent.
Nippon Marathon in theory is a good idea, but when it came to actually playing the game I did not enjoy myself and I really wanted to. Maybe there’s fun to be had if played with friends but I was so put off myself that I wouldn’t force any friends to play it.
If this game can find an audience, I could see it in fighting game tournaments, but for now the game is fairly dormant and that’s disappointing.
This game was fantastic and despite it only being January I can definitely see this as a game of the year contender. Spectacular work and a must have.
Bowser’s Inside Story is one of the best in the Mario RPG titles and should be played.
This game helped me understand why people love the original ToeJam & Earl so much. Back in the Groove basically renders the original obsolete.
Anyone who like unfairly hard games may enjoy this but everyone else should just skip this game. I waited to see if a patch would maybe make it better but that patch never came. I can’t say it isn’t worth the time or money because I’m sure someone will enjoy it, but there are so many better stealth and action games out there that I refuse to put a price point on any half baked recommendation I could give this. Just don’t pay full price because that is highway robbery.
Operencia: The Stolen Sun shouldn’t be skipped. What is here is a wonderful RPG that is welcoming to veterans and newcomers alike. Because this is on Microsoft Game Pass there is absolutely no reason to not give this game a shot. There is absolutely something for everyone who enjoys RPGs.
This game has so much potential, but it is so barren I can’t recommend it.
Overall this collection is a step up from Volume 2. I would probably recommend this set for anyone unfamiliar with classic Williams tables because it encompasses a better selection of how unique the tables can be. The fact that Safe Cracker is fairly forgiving is also a big draw.
Outside of maybe the difficulty of playing on normal (there are different difficulties) this is hands down the most accessible EDF has been to a wide audience
It is a great title for anyone looking to scratch that kart racing itch, with lots of throwbacks to previous Sonic titles in both course design and music (including a new Crush 40 track because of course it does). I enjoyed my time with Team Sonic Racing and I think others will too.
I like Days Gone. I really like Deacon as a character. I think the world is interesting. I like all of this enough to look past the bugs and glitches that I don’t expect from Sony first party games.
