7 / 10.0 - Forza Horizon 4
Oct 11, 2018

Forza Horizon 4 is unquestionably one of the most photorealistic games I have ever played. The sound design, music, and overall audio are excellent. The racing, rewards, customization, and moment to moment gameplay are brilliant. Great Britain is a real character and a masterstroke in design. But the reality is, there are just serious issues plaguing this game on half the platforms on which it released. These simply cannot be ignored, nor can they be downplayed.

As a VR experience, it definitely did its job of making me feel like I was in a different place, but it did not really convince me that I was taking care of another living thing. Sadly, it falls just short of such a title.

9 / 10.0 - Cyberpunk 2077
Jan 7, 2021

Cyberpunk 2077 is not perfect. But the fact is, it doesn’t need to be to completely surpass my expectations. Given my experience and placing that against my expectations, I can unequivocally say that Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the greatest games I have ever played. The brilliant world, outstanding level design, seemingly endless density of detail paired with exceptional performances in incredibly engaging stories, all backed by truly groundbreaking graphics technology combine to create a supremely exceptional experience.

And when each of those parts are this good, this lovingly crafted, this polished, it’s incredibly difficult to ignore. Ember Lab have created something truly special. This is a gem. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is the best game I’ve played all year. And you should play it.
