Frank Reese's Reviews
A short but enjoyable game, though much of the game is based on score attacks and leaderboard competitions. If this appeals to you, great, but everyone else might want to skip it.
Just Cause 4 has so many problems. Bad graphics, bad story, and weaker gameplay. But the missions are enjoyable to the point that you might accept it all. Weak Recommend
The End is Nigh is another excellent platformer from Edmund McMillen, it’s everything Super Meat Boy was but even better paced and well designed. It’s worth playing though it will be challenging and frustrating for most players, but it’s the right type of challenge.
An amazing remake that shows how games should be updated for the modern era. However the second playthrough feels lackluster and leaves the player on a sour note.
An interesting story, and solid gameplay, but not in a way that combines into a singular experience that players deserve for a 60 dollar title. Still it's worth checking out once the price drops.
The SUPERHOT team delivers on what the original SUPERHOT should have been and it's even better than imagined. A rogue-lite take on the franchise, that feels both familiar and new at the same time. This is the new starting place for the franchise.
A game that tries to imitate Portal's success but falls apart when the developer tries to avoid fully copying the formula.
An excellent follow up to Her Story if a bit flawed. Telling Lies tries to tackle a larger and more intricate story than the predecessor, and accomplishes quite a bit. However a critical missing feature, and a story that feels like a closed loops is a noticeable step back for Sam Barlow.
A solid game that is let down in it's final minutes as it can't find the right way to conclude it's story. However the experience and is excellent and worth playing through to see.
A fun adventure game, paired with an unnecessary Open world that goes through the motions. However new enemies and an excellent story is worth playing through the entire experience.
A solid throwback to classic Point and Click Adventure games. Made for fans of Maniac mansion or Monkey's Island by some of the masters of the format.
While this is an interesting release, it's a short demo showing what the next engine can do. There's no voice acting and reused assets for Thimbleweed park. It's only an hour, but free. Overall ok.
Classic gameplay that will please fans of stealth, but the worst story in the series. It's focus on the Templars could have been great but there's no attempt to humanize them.
An excellent combination of Yakuza and Streets of Rage, though short it's still a very fun experiment that has been released for free.
