3 / 10.0 - Dollhouse

Some interesting ideas and a decent style are wasted as mediocrity gets in the way of any scares

A repetitive and dull gameplay loop that's thematically allergic to the game's cast of misfits only begins to describe how heartbreakingly disappointing Kill the Justice League truly is. Rocksteady should've died a hero, instead, it's lived long enough to see itself become the villain.

4.5 / 10.0 - Tennis On Court
Oct 24, 2023

An impressively intuitive control scheme and accurate ball physics hint at an enjoyable tennis experience, but a lack of meaningful content and a busted online mode end up costing Tennis On-Court the game, set and match.

Gotham Knights sets itself apart from the Arkham series in all the wrong ways, leaving players with a disappointing action-RPG that's in desperate need of refinement.

5 / 10.0 - Collapsed

Unfortunately, the game's interesting character designs and a decent art style aren't enough to carry it through its mediocre combat, rough audio and low stakes.

5.5 / 10.0 - WrestleQuest
Aug 22, 2023

Putting wrestling and turn-based RPGs in a can they co-exist tag team style was an excitingly bold move that unfortunately ends in a heel turn and a crowd leaving early to beat the traffic.

While Frontier of Pandora's open world is an audio-visual feast, the formulaic structure of its gameplay and the tools it give you to wade through it feels far too familiar to make it worth visiting for long.

6 / 10.0 - MADiSON
Jul 16, 2022

While it's built around an interesting mechanic and features tense, sometimes terrifying moments, MADiSON is frequently derailed by tedious puzzles and an irritating amount of backtracking.

6 / 10.0 - KungFu Kickball
Mar 16, 2022

Blending together soccer and martial arts in a fun party game, KungFu Kickball is a decent game to break out when you're mates are over, though the lack of content and high price might cause you to look elsewhere.

Playing through the thoughts and emotions that Izzy's feeling during a difficult time in her life is confronting and heartfelt in equal measure, making it all the more disappointing that Lost Words' core mechanic lets it down so much.

6 / 10.0 - Syder Reloaded
Mar 25, 2020

Ultimately Syder is a decent enough bullet-hell shooter with a good deal of potential that will hold your attention for a while, but no longer than that

6.5 / 10.0 - Bilkins' Folly

A pixel art treasure-hunting adventure title with a pirate theme and boatload of charm, Bilkins' Folly gets lost and digs holes in the wrong spots, but ultimately finds the booty.

6.5 / 10.0 - The Chant

A rare foray into spiritual cosmic horror, The Chant shows great promise in its story and setting but fails to realise its potential in more ways than one.

6.5 / 10.0 - Steelrising
Sep 7, 2022

Though the alternate history setting allows Steelrising to immediately separate itself from the bloated Souls-like genre in an aesthetic sense, its shortcomings prevent it from standing out in a way that truly matters. Some elements work well, and the accessibility options are very welcome; just don't go in expecting Spiders to have reinvented the automaton.
