3 / 10.0 - X-Morph: Defense
Mar 11, 2019

With little replay value incentives and a campaign that lacks the qualities which make for a compelling experience, it is very hard to recommend this game even with its lower price tag.

9.5 / 10.0 - RICO
Mar 13, 2019

I found myself pleasantly surprised by RICO, and see myself coming back to it for weeks to come. If you're a fan of either the Borderlands or Payday series, this game is a must try for you.

The gameplay here is satisfying enough to feel like it was worth your hard-earned cash, although I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is looking for a game with all the elements of a modern day game–you will not find that here.

While the replay value falls short once you've beaten the game, Trine 2: Complete Story offers plenty of challenging content to keep you busy for a while.

Even though The Red Strings Club is in a pixelated genre which is oversaturated, the story all but makes up for it. I would recommend this despite its controls for anyone on a budget looking for a great story-telling game, and for all sci-fi/cyberpunk fans.

Whether you are a true fan of the Atelier franchise, or just like RPG's and town simulation games, this will surely satisfy your thirst. It has enough gameplay elements, with depth, to make any gamer have enough content to last them for a while. The story and voice acting made the already in depth gameplay systems even better. This game is a must buy for any RPG or town simulator fan, especially as the Nintendo Switch lacks in town simulation games.

While the concept of an open world beat 'em up set in high-school sounds interesting, the way it was executed is far from perfect. Furthermore, the entire world feels meaningless, as there is no way to easily tell what time your classes begin, and where they are. It is also difficult to know where each building is in the world because The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa lacks a map/compass feature. If you are looking for a unique beat 'em up, and are willing to manage it's user experience issues, then this is a perfect game for you.

While the main appeal of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice,  – Psychosis and mental instability – was not for me there is still plenty of fun to be had with the game.

While this game certainly isn't for all, what's provided is done so well and in such abundance that I recommend this game to anyone with a Switch and consent to play this kind of game. Not many other games on the Switch can compare in terms of customization, replayability, and sheer scale of its open world.

8 / 10.0 - OTTTD

The game's RPG mechanics, unique art style, and variety in towers, enemy types, and weapons, make for a satisfying tower-defence experience. OTTTD is a must-buy for fans of the genre.

It is a shame Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy doesn’t do anything special for today’s age of gaming, but everything that is done, is flawless.

5 / 10.0 - Undead Horde
May 24, 2019

While graphics and performance are flawless, Undead Horde has repetitive and routine gameplay that can't save it from its potential. The art style is amazing, so it is unfortunate it has to be ruined by mediocre gameplay. I'd say if you are looking for a game like Undead Horde, the best bet is saving up for the Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on Nintendo Switch.

Hungry Baby: Party Treats lacks a complete campaign offering, but the atmosphere, treats, party mode, and performance make this a must-own for anyone looking to get an affordable party/puzzle game.

7.5 / 10.0 - Redout
May 29, 2019

Overall, Redout is an amazing racing game and by far the best anti-gravity one on Nintendo Switch. It offers simplistic but meaningful customization, diverse environments, and RPG-like mechanics that provide replay ability, all without sacrificing performance for the most part

Much like its spin-off, Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland, is a great escape from reality, and an even greater entry in the Atelier franchise. Despite its localization issues, it is a great game all RPG fans must experience. With its enjoyable long-lasting content as a result of the new Alchemyriddle system, rewarding gameplay, and visually impressive art style, it is hard not to recommend this title.

7.5 / 10.0 - Unruly Heroes
Jun 4, 2019

Unruly Heroes is far from a bad game. In fact, it has some of my favorite platforming of recent memory, at least in terms of pure gameplay. It just lacks the polish needed for platformer completionists like me, and it's uncompelling story and music did not help. At least the developers are supporting it with content, despite it being months after its launch. If you are looking for an affordable platformer, this game is a must, but don't expect to be putting in the same hours as Yoshi's Crafted World.

If you are looking for a stealth game of any sort, or are considering getting into Assassin’s Creed, this game is a must buy. Despite the few issues like unnoticeable graphical improvements and a slow beginning, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered features solid gameplay and a story underneath its surface that more than quantifies the investment.

7 / 10.0 - Hue
Jun 6, 2019

Overall, if you are looking for a nice tale to dip your toes into and finish in one sitting, this game is for you. If you are looking for a game that you will delve into for a long while, well, you won't find that here. The game offers an indulging story of a mother's disappearance, but with a splash of color. It's gorgeous art style and meaningful mechanics make this game a worthwhile addition to all Switch libraries; that is, once a sale happens or more content is added.
