Online multiplayer games were once a rarity, but now however they are commonplace to the point of oversaturation. From PUGB and Fortnite to Call of Duty, Apex and more, there is a tried and tested formula that seems to reign supreme. So when I saw a code of an (as of that moment) unreleased online multiplayer called Tannenberg come along, I was certainly intrigued. Now, it wasn’t that online multiplayer aspect that caught my attention, but rather, the setting. A WWI game, a part of history that video games tend to overlook in favour of WWII, Vietnam, or more modern fictional wars. I knew nothing more about the game when I agreed to take the code, and that is just the way I like it. So, how did I find my time in the trenches? Did I go over the top for glory or was I left with underpants on my head, pencils up my nose crying wibble in the hope of being sent home? You will have to read on to find out.

DustOff Z is a shoot em’ up which does not present a deep narrative. Instead, the game is mostly a series of levels that will give the player better equipment and weapons. You’re asked to keep going until the end and beat the game with the highest rating in every level. Each of these is rated from 1 to 3 stars, depending on the time and accuracy with which the player completes them. The higher the rating, the better.

I only recently invested in a gaming laptop. I’d always been console only before then. So when the chance to review Eastward came along, I was all too happy to oblige.

I was very excited when I was offered the chance to review The Devil in Me, the newest instalment in the Dark Pictures Anthology series. I love horror titles and story-heavy games, and while I have yet to play House of Ashes, I have enjoyed the other titles in his franchise.

I started following the development of Ashwalkers long before it hit the stores. So naturally, I jumped at the chance to get my hands on a copy to review. Unlike many games I take, I had high expectations going into Ashwalkers. The real question is, does it live up to the hype I built for it, or did my enthusiasm disappear like smoke? SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is not my usual game. However, variety is the spice of life, so when the chance came, I thought, why not. And so, with childish enthusiasm I loaded up the game and prepared to venture for a stroll through Bikini Bottom.

I first raised my interest in reviewing AEW: FIght Forever back in 2021. Having watched its development over the years and suffered through the delays and update doldrums, I was over the moon to see launch day creeping ever closer. Getting a review code a week early was enough to warrant a widely used Vince McMahon GIF, but we can’t credit the opposition this early on in a review.

There are times when you just know a game is going to be great. When its by a studio you know and trust, or when it’s a title in a series you have played since you were a kid. Then, sometimes, there is a game that comes along that sells you on the title alone. This is one of those games. I mean, who hasn’t wanted to write Rainbows, Toilets, and Unicorns in a sentence before.

I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I picked up Professor Lupo: Ocean. However, a quick – spoiler-free – browse showed me a cute little puzzle game.

I don’t think there has ever been an age where there has been a larger global concern, understanding or recognition of mental health as there is right now. With everybody struggling from the long-running effects of Covid-19, the concept of mental health is no longer the large taboo it used to be.

I am always down to review any game that needs playing. I rarely do any sort of preparation for my reviews. If the game’s title sounds interesting, I’ll give it a try. Obviously, there are games I keep my eyes open for and certain studios whose titles I know I always enjoy, but on the whole, I find something fun about the unknown. Rogue Explorer was one of these titles.

I am a big fan of Sherlock Holmes. I’ve not read anywhere near enough of his stories. However, a good friend of mine is the author of a fantastic series of Holmes novellas, which I have devoured with gusto. When the opportunity to review Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments came along, I was all too eager to grab my hunting cap and pipe and dive into his caseload.

As a horror lover, whenever I see a game with a dark-sounding name, I am always interested. As a title, Hell Pages was too intriguing for me to pass up. Going in blind, I loaded up the game and eagerly awaited the horrors.

They say never judge a book by its cover, and I suppose never judge a game by its title would be the gaming equivalent. A name like Robots Under Attack, for me at least, calls for action and violence. Yet the reality behind the name was something different.

As the world starts to come out of hibernation, and sport is slowly returning to the screens, it felt like the right time to turn my hand to Rugby 20. Being a fan of the game – playing it – and admittedly a dedicated follower of major tournament rugby only, I was all too eager to get my hands on the game. I am always partial to a sports game and was lucky enough to review NHL 20 for this site earlier in the year. But how does rugby translate from the pitch to the console? Does it score a try, or should it be relegated to the sin bin quicker than Saracens during a salary audit? Keep reading this Rapid Review to find out.

I am a big fan of the 2.5 horror format. Having played and reviewed both Coma games as well as thoroughly enjoying games like Detention, the thought of a zombie-based game was intriguing to me. There is a lot that could be done with this genre. Having read the premise to this game, I was definitely more than ready to give Red Colony a go.
