A great expansions for any Hearthstone fan thanks to new contents perfectly integrated into the existing context. An amazing power level, a metagame never so sparkling and lots of valid archetypes ensure the fun.

7.5 / 10.0 - Windbound
Sep 2, 2020

Windbound has several interesting ideas and is very nice to look at and listen to, but unfortunately the experience suffers from some flaws – for example, the procedural generation doesn't make for particularly interesting level design. But above everything else, it lacks rhythm.

6.8 / 10.0 - Tennis World Tour 2
Sep 22, 2020

Tennis World Tour 2 improves upon its disastrous predecessor, but cannot completely make us forget its flaws because it's based on the same creaky structure. It can be fun, but you shouldn't expect perfection.

This is the great return of a much-appreciated saga: lots of content, a non-linear campaign and various improvements manage to overshadow some technical imperfections. And above all, shooting is pretty damn fun.

7.2 / 10.0 - The Falconeer
Nov 20, 2020

The Falconeer is an interesting aerial combat game which, however, is weighed down by several burdens that do not allow it to shake off the monotony that arises from its own ambition as an open world.

Madness at the Darkmoon Faire works but doesn't convince at 100%. If Duels are fun and new archetypes are looming on the horizon, Corruption and the new Old Gods haven't had a big impact on the meta, not to mention the controversial renewal of the system of progression.

With plenty of quality content, a revamped progression system and many intriguing features like Torgast and Covenants, Shadowlands is an artistic triumph and one of the best expansions ever. It doesn't revolutionize World of Warcraft and the leveling phase doesn't really develop the character that much, but who cares? The Afterlife is fun.

Shadowlands is an appropriate expansion in many ways, but between merits and novelties stand out a masterful audio-visual system and a fun worthy of the golden days. It doesn't revolutionize anything, but it reshapes the progression system with intelligence to rejuvenate an evergreen like World of Warcraft.

5.5 / 10.0 - Gods Will Fall
Feb 3, 2021

Gods Will Fall tries to reinterpret the roguelike genre and some ideas show that the theoretical potential to do so is there, but the problem is that the technical structure ruins any good intuition (such as faulty AI). On the Switch, the rough controls also increase frustration.

7.8 / 10.0 - Speed Limit
Feb 10, 2021

Speed Limit is a kaleidoscope of pixels, bullets and ever-changing gameplay. It's very short and not that deep mechanically, but speed runners and nostalgic people will love it because it's an intense challenge and an inspired love letter to the 80s/90s.

6.5 / 10.0 - PixelJunk Raiders
Mar 5, 2021

PixelJunk Raiders is not completely to be thrown away because it has some interesting ideas, but this is not enough to make it stand out compared to other roguelikes: it is the classic wasted opportunity because it never manages to fully convince.

Curious Expedition 2 is a fun roguelike that quickly turns out to be a matryoshka of unpredictable adventures. It's a nice tribute to the adventure novel à la Jules Verne, and one that knows how to reward its players. It doesn't dare as much as I would have liked narratively, but there's still plenty of fun to be had.

Between ups and downs Forged in the Barrens is not completely convincing, but it's still an expansion useful for Hearthstone's growth. The meta must be fixed quickly to allow new mechanics and archetypes to come forward without fear.

8.6 / 10.0 - MotoGP 21
Apr 22, 2021

MotoGP 21 is the best MotoGP simulator you could wish for and on PS5 it's even better. There are some technical imperfections, but none of them can ruin a rewarding, fun and addicting gameplay.

The idea is intriguing and it works, but the technical implementation leaves something to be desired and there are balancing problems. However, the question is not whether the game is fun, but for how long it will be with so little content.

Not every wrinkle can be hidden by a skillful make-up, but the in-game feeling is very good, and impersonating Commander Shepard gives the same vibrant feelings of the past. Saving the galaxy from the Reapers has never looked so cool.

7.5 / 10.0 - King of Seas
May 24, 2021

A fresh and entertaining pirate-ish action RPG with nice customization and spectacular naval combat. Too bad that the lack of variety of side quests and other scattered flaws end up to row against.

8 / 10.0 - Chivalry 2
Jun 21, 2021

Chivalry 2 has achieved its goal: while not perfect, it offers a great combat system that it's easy to learn but difficult to master. The game never takes itself too seriously and really shines using its best weapons.

This sequel is very similar to the first chapter in terms of feel and structure, but that does not mean that it is not a valid and better game: those who have enjoyed the first will surely love Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

8.5 / 10.0 - Death's Door
Jul 21, 2021

An Action RPG full of passion that focuses on simplicity and, for this reason, it is incredibly solid. Level design, attention to detail, art style and soundtrack deserve just applause. Ok, it throws you in an huge labirint without any map, but it can be even a good thing.
