10 / 10 - Persona 5 Royal

Improving and enhancing an already excellent game is hard to imagine due it being a huge risk, meaning a change in what fans love about the game could risk getting an angry reaction. However, the developers excelled in taking a good game to a whole new level of excellence and position it as a legendary experience for newcomers. The game is also fun and extraordinary for people who are fans of the original title.

A great expansion that left an impression of an entirely new sequel to the game due to its wealth in content. The developers really pushed the limits of the available options and created new mechanics to improve on the base game. If you loved the hunt before, this will be your opportunity to jump back in.

A game that amazed me with the beauty of the open world, a world that makes you thirsty all the time to explore more and more to see the changing regions and the huge statues that are distinctive signs that make you feel the beauty of the world, despite the long boring story dialogue and damp squib jokes, I enjoyed every minute I spent with every mystery, fight, ruins, and Rift I searched for something new.

An intense game, one made for playing on a TV, that is enjoyable in its entirety, and even worth a replay or two for the different gameplay aspects and story. Even with a questionable difficulty option, this is one of the best strategy RPGs this gen.

4 / 5.0 - Code Vein

An excellent game, despite a few technical issues and voice acting problems, the game is extremely enjoyable and excels in applying simplified souls concept. I recommend this game to beginners who want to try the souls concept or previous players who couldn't handle the difficulty but wants to try the concept in a more simplified manner.

Obsidian excelled in creating an amazing RPG experience influenced by the design of the Fallout franchise. The developer chose a safe route and picked familiar ideas and basics instead of creating a whole new experience. I recommend this game as the perfect WRPG gateway for new players to learn what can this genre offer to them.

Regardless of the technical issues, bugs, and the unpleasing design choices, the experience itself is unique and dared to tackle philosophical and existential topics. I was sucked into a bizarre world, which In hindsight, should've been difficult to explore but the the developer made the point across brilliantly. The game is rich in its content and I've honestly experienced the best JRPG experience of this generation.

Remarkable visual aesthetics and entertaining fighting system but slow in presenting the story, especially at the beginning of the game.

A fun spinoff of an amazing franchise, might as well become a stand alone franchise with the same mechanics and style. The game suffers from few minor camera and technical issues but it's still an even better game than games in its respective genre.

A great and enjoyable game, it took me back to the 90s and it got me excited to replay the game with different characters. However, I don't think i can accept a similar approach to development if done again in the future, the game had minor improvements in gameplay and characters mechanics, the game needs major developments and huge jumps in mechanics as it did before in other Beat 'em up games in the 90s, specifically, the second game of the franchise.

A wonderful and beautiful game that holds your breath at every moment with the use of VR, but it failed to make me feel the same way without the use of VR headset, even with the limited number of multiplayer modes, it is considered a nice experience, especially all this at a competitive price of 40$.

3 / 5.0 - Oninaki
Aug 27, 2019

It was premature game, it would've been much better had the developer spent more time on it. Despite this, the game is one of the darkest game this year, it made me feel sad due to the continuous sad situations. The developer hit the mark with the OST, and i kept listening even after finishing the game, I recommend this game to JRPG fans only.

3 / 5.0 - GreedFall
Sep 15, 2019

A traditional RPG, it would've been much better if it was shorter in length as you'll start to notice a repetitive pattern in monsters, buildings, regions, and characters as you're playing. Despite that, it was an enjoyable experience, a good fit for gamers who enjoy this type of games and can look past its shortcomings.

6 / 10 - FAIRY TAIL
Aug 4, 2020

pretty much fun JRPG game, but can be enjoyed mainly from those who follow the manga or animation, even with some annoying repetition of side quests the game presented a fighting system and guild development system in an amusing way, I recommend it to all fans of the Fairy Tail series.

5 / 10 - Godfall
Nov 24, 2020

The game should've initially released as an early access game to be able to grow through the feedback of gamers who love this genre. However, the game was below expectations with minor fun elements but felt empty. As a new generation launch game we will hardly remember it in the future, unless it got the support it needs and tweaked to be a better game.
