Ports from mobile games are often a risk. Sadly Kickerinho World is an example of a mobile game that was already on the right platform.
Sadly, Goosebumps Dead of Night is another failed attempt at converting a franchise we already know and love into a game that lives up to our expectations.
Despite looking nice and offering plenty of unlockables, there's no real reason to visit this entry into the tennis game genre. It's by no means poorly made, running smoothly all the way through, it just simply lacks any sign of a satisfying game loop.
Ghost: Elisa Cameron is not particularly riveting. However, if you're a fan of the comics, or this type of puzzle game there may be something here for you to enjoy.
Unfortunately, neither game in this package is overly worthwhile, mainly due to frustrating controls and awkward quirks. For the price, however, it's difficult to knock the value.
Good backgrounds and a strong soundtrack aren't enough to justify a game that feels like you've played it before. The combat offers little and feels lethargic so, unfortunately, there is very little reason to drop into Hell on this occasion.
From the moment you fire up Robocop: Rogue City and see his cruiser’s bumper scrape up the ramp, it is clear who the game is for - if you’re a fan of the 1980s classic you’re in for a treat. Otherwise, the poor performance and uninspired gameplay make it hard to recommend the game to someone who isn’t already a fan of OCP's finest. One thing you can’t take away from Teyon is they have delivered a true-to-the-film Robocop experience, but whether you'd buy that for a dollar is up to you.
Broken Blades is another addition to the rogue-like genre, that may not be a must play, but has enough good ideas to make it a worthwhile purchase for hardcore rogue-like fans.
Worms Rumble can be an enjoyable ride, and it is certainly a bold, fresh take on the franchise. However, it is ultimately a step in the wrong direction. Worms Rumble fails to capture the essence of previous games, and adopting this style of gameplay causes it to grow stale quickly.
Colossus Down offers an interesting art style and comedic writing, that all fit well in the wider context of the game. Sadly, it just isn't enough to carry you through the repetitive and uninspired gameplay. Making it difficult to recommend to newcomers, and established fans alike.
Blind Men is very brief and could be improved with more detail, but it still offers an interesting story with multiple outcomes
A paint by numbers entry into what's becoming an inflated genre but the gameplay can still be fun despite feeling repetitive, especially late on.
Overpass certainly adds an interesting take on the genre, allowing for well-trodden ground to feel fresh. Unfortunately the difficulty of the game and poor handling will prevent most from making it past the tutorial.
A delightfully presented text adventure that relies too heavily on replaying old dialogue — even if the actual story is good, it may not be interesting enough to make you persevere.
Despite the strong story and its interesting characters, the gameplay is very clearly of a game out of time, and so feels out of place on the Switch. It's difficult to recommend, especially to newcomers, but fans of the franchise may find good reasons to visit, even if for nostalgia alone.
Pecaminosa does have a lot to offer; a rich world and an interesting cast of characters. Sadly the stale gameplay can hold it back at times.
Ultra Foodmess is easy to play and enjoy. However, its limited features might mean that it's only fun for a limited time.
Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour holds up well for newcomers even if it could do with a few quality improvements. It's a shame there isn't more for those revisiting, but like everything, it's always nice to have this classic on the go.
Tilt Pack's simplicity is both its biggest strength and weakness. The game offers very little for those playing alone, but there's a lot to enjoy if you're playing with friends.
Lords of the Fallen has a lot to offer but is largely held back by technical issues throughout, and the further I progressed through the game, the more striking these problems became, escalating from a few dips in framerate to hard crashes and glaring pop-in.
