Admittedly, Speaking Simulator is fun, but it doesn't shine as bright as I'd hoped. After the first levels in which we unlock the additional features the game becomes dull and monotonous and above all never goes off the tracks set. The different scenarios proposed to narrate our rise to power are well thought out but do not represent a growing challenge (ok humans are basically stupid) and we'll have to almost commit ourselves to fail a mission and see the various technical failures suffered by the robot. In short, the title lends itself very well to a dull evening with friends or for a light streaming on your channel but once the 10 levels are over it doesn't have a high replayability. It would have been nice to have at least one free mode where we can try to create our speeches or maybe more options to choose from during the levels.

7.5 / 10.0 - Bleeding Edge
Mar 25, 2020

Even if Bleeding Edge has many elements that know of already seen (literally S4 League + Overwatch), Ninja Theory has still managed to make a fresh but above all fun game that comes straight to the heart (and heart) proposing a pressing pace to his games that fortunately end before they become frustrating. This promotes extreme playability both if you want to play a fast game and if you want to spend the whole evening grinding match after match with your friends. At launch, however, Bleeding Edge doesn't have a lot to offer in terms of maps and content, but if that's the case and we'll see more and more updates from the development team in the coming months, we're sure Bleeding Edge will be talking about itself for a long time to come.

The development of Darksiders passes this time through the hands of Airship Syndicate, a study composed by the developers of Vigil Games, which had developed the first two titles in the series and this is felt especially from the point of view of art and gameplay. The level design is taken care of down to the smallest detail, not only for the vast explorability and monsters to defeat, but also a huge amount of dynamic elements that react to our actions. The gameplay is solid but above all fun, especially the boss fights. Each of these will require nerve and cunning to be overcome and will make us put into practice every power we have collected, even the horse! The possibility of being played in local multiplayer (but also online) is always a plus for me for an action title. Finally, the ability to create small builds for your heroes is a great addition to the classic Vulgrim shop. In short, a Darksiders with the flakes that surely will not disappoint fans and certainly will approach new ones. If these are to be considered the basis of a fourth chapter (maybe with all four riders), we can really hope.

8.5 / 10.0 - Minecraft Dungeons
May 26, 2020

Very often when we talk about Minecraft we make the mistake of judging it superficially as a game for children, forgetting most of the time the depth of gameplay and opportunities that the title reserves. Even in this case Mojang offers a title that puts the fun and immediacy at the center of the player's experience hiding under the funny aspect of the brand a solid hack n slash capable of involving both young and old, all accompanied by an Unreal Engine that makes it even more immersive. The only drawback that can be found is the lack of some mechanics of crafting and interaction with the world typical of Minecraft, but the arrival of new future content bodes well for the longevity of this game.

8.5 / 10.0 - Desperados III
Jun 13, 2020

Desperados 3 may be a sometimes nerve-wracking title for many players, but personally I loved the substantial challenge level even at the lowest difficulty. Finishing a level section after a series of failed attempts gives a unique satisfaction. One criticism I feel I have to make is about how our characters will often throw themselves into enemies or leave their buddies behind. Finally the absence of Italian dubbing, especially after the first chapter boasted voices like Claudio Moneta and Emanuela Pacotto, is a real blow to the heart but surely the Texas accent of the characters is the icing on the cake.

8.5 / 10.0 - Gears Tactics
Apr 27, 2020

It's not always easy for the game development team to decide to deviate so much from one of their flagship products, but in this case the audacity has been able to pay off by offering a title that will not disappoint old fans but rather is destined to become a real must for lovers of strategy in general. The boss fights and variety of missions, as well as the whole lookout game, are additions that make the genre even more dynamic and fun that gives you a slight vibe of Starship Troopers. Comparison with other titles is inevitable but Gears Tactics manages to emerge and even lay the foundations for future projects that we honestly can't wait to try.
