80 / 100 - Bomber Crew
Jul 25, 2018

Under that childish layer that can repel in the first instance, Bomber Crew hides a deep gameplay, where tension and the need for quick decisions are the order of the day. Perhaps its curve of difficulty can reverse neophytes in the genre, or perhaps the handling could have somehow taken advantage of the touch screen of the console, but who knows how to ignore these small problems will find a worthy heir to Faster Than Light set in World War II that will provide you with many hours of gameplay.

Life Goes On offers puzzles where the death of each of the (infinite) soldiers of the king will prevail, and where each of these deaths will almost always serve a greater purpose, in addition to taking out the sadistic aspect that every human being has. In addition, the puzzles will never be complex enough to get stuck for many days in one, nor too easy to not get a feeling of victory every time you reach the end of the level, especially in the last ones. Being the first film of a group of three developers, little more could be asked of it. Recommended.

75 / 100 - Blazing Beaks
May 13, 2019

Under a carefree appearance full of bright colors and ducks with submachine guns, we get a frantic roguelite in which we will not stop to breathe for a moment while there are enemies on each screen. In addition, the way in which the player's equipment is handled in each game, through the so-called "artifacts", or negative modifications, is a breath of fresh air in which one must decide if he prefers an equipment upgrade, with increasing difficulty. built-in, or stays as is. Maybe its a bit lacking in its lack of online gaming in its cooperative and competitive oriented modes, but it still has a satisfactory solo game, which engages and allows fast games.

80 / 100 - Akane
May 15, 2019

Akane is a game made with great care, with superb gameplay and very well thought out, and a great artistic section with great predominance of cyberpunk. Its main tare is its lack of content in terms of scenarios (only one) and enemies, but a game system that encourages fast games, and a system of equipment improvements will still make the player amortize their purchase, which will also been for a very low price by today's standards.

70 / 100 - Observation
Jun 10, 2019

This is a good game that prioritizes the story and the setting above everything else, which would be good if some arguable design decisions and a handful of bugs that tarnish the experience had not been added.

The new installment of the star saga of Creative Assembly amply meets expectations. A campaign with a great focus on the different characters and the relationships between them that offers many possibilities to the player along with the characteristic battle system of Total War define an indispensable game for lovers of strategy. Perhaps a little more variety is missing in the types of units, but it does not have to tarnish the great work of the developer belonging to SEGA.

One more year, KONAMI promptly brings us its vision of what a soccer simulator should be. And, one more year, it succeeds. Great ball physics, an ideal match tempo, an AI of its own that in much of the match does what it is expected to do, and a rival AI more human than ever, make this eFootball PES2020 the best soccer simulator that can be played to date.

Club Soccer Director PRO 2020 is, above all, a game with a mobile origin in which its creators have not made the slightest effort to offer added value on their way to PC. Also it has a very aggressive micro-transaction policy, excessive in a paid game. It is true that it is price is half of the maximum exponent of the genre, but it is not even worth it being able to have it played on mobile for free.

This port to Nintendo Switch comes out well of one of the top works in the sector at the level of role-playing games. The control has been perfectly adapted to the joycons, and the game has a good font to read in Switch screen. Unfortunately, visually it is still exactly the same as it was 20 years ago, although due to its drawing style the graphics have not aged particularly badly. Nor do they take advantage of the tactile possibilities of the console and that is sadder, in addition to losing the audio in Spanish that the original version had. On the other hand, the additions and the possibility of playing anywhere can justify the purchase, always bearing in mind that these additions are the same ones that the PC version had back in 2012/2013. So the player who has already played those versions will only have the portable factor as a novelty, and at a price that is not exactly cheap.

Zombie Driver Immortal Edition is a game in which we will crush zombies and do not much more. But crushing zombies has never been so much fun. Not only that, but we will have various weapons to raze the undead again and again. If we add to that some Carnage and Bloody Race modes that extend the life of the title by a few more hours, we find a game that the player will greatly enjoy.

75 / 100 - MediEvil
Oct 30, 2019

The MediEvil remake will delight nostalgics by being a game that copies 1: 1 much of the original game and adding a good graphic and sound remodeling. Perhaps the control seems too simple and outdated for new players, but still we have a game that, twenty years later, is still fun and varied.

A game that is aimed at the most fans of the series, since we will have the original voices and will present different sections of it. The pity is that at the strategy game level it falls short and the targeted manuals, one of its defining characteristics with respect to other games of the same style, are not satisfactory enough for the lover of shooting games, and appear too many times for the lover of pure strategy.

60 / 100 - Dusk Diver
Nov 27, 2019

We are facing a game that tries to drink directly from the Persona and Bayonetta sagas, but it stays halfway, and not only because of its relative low budget compared to these. A simple combat system, repetitive enemies, and certain farming mechanics subtract too many points from a game that anime fans might like.

We are facing a new installment of the already emblematic and veteran sports management saga developed by Sports Interactive, and it does not disappoint. Without being a revolution in any section, it is certainly an evolution in many of them. Some defects from previous years continue to drag, such as absurd situations in the match engine, the null evolution in the management of set pieces, and, as a minor problem, for having an easy solution, team and player licenses. These defects do not tarnish what is an outstanding product and that is still highly recommended for fans of this type of game.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York is a good visual novel that can serve as a good aperitif while we wait for Bloodlines 2. Some great secondary characters and high level of writing defines a game marked by a somewhat decaffeinated main story.

Transport Fever 2 is a great management game with a great campaign and a very high level of micro-management. Only its performance problems and certain debatable decisions at quality of life level prevent it from achieving the excellence. But still, game totally recommended for those who enjoy tycoon games, and worthy heir of the Transport Tycoon saga.

Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition is a great game marred by a half-done port for Nintendo Switch. More than 100 hours of play weighed down by poor control, glitches, bugs, and lousy performance in a game from 17 years ago.

70 / 100 - Let's Sing 2020
Dec 20, 2019

Let's Sing 12 is a game that current pop fans will enjoy very much, especially when in the company of friends. In addition, the possibility of using our smartphones as voice input eliminates one of the natural barriers to entry for this type of game, such as the need to buy microphones.

We have a missed opportunity here. Paranoia starts showing us a good atmosphere and good dialogues. But the game shows less depth than it indicates and curiosity becomes tedious.

Football, Tactics & Glory is an atypical soccer game, more like a game of chess or XCOM than a simulator. A very original and very well executed idea weighed down by a manager mode that needs to improve many things to be satisfactory. Even so, highly recommended for lovers of turn-based strategy who will enjoy it as if it were a Wargame.
