Guybrush Threepwood returns to our consoles and PCs in an adventure that preserves the freshness of its predecessors, which will make us laugh more than once and in which it is clear that both Ron Gilbert and Dave Grossman have put all their hearts. Perhaps it is guilty of being too conservative, looking more than necessary at the first installment, but even so, if you enjoyed the previous adventures of the good Guybrush, you are going to enjoy Return to Monkey Island like children.

85 / 100 - Streets of Rogue
Feb 13, 2020

We are facing a jewel of the indie scene that will allow the player to create chaos and destruction throughout the levels that he completes, or to go completely unnoticed without anyone noticing his presence. 24 different characters, each with its own characteristics, in a roguelite that will delight lovers of the genre.

We have a great game in front of us that only some especially linear levels and some excessively long sections prevent it from being classified as a masterpiece. Still, a must for lovers of JRPGs in general, and Final Fantasy VII in particular.

This port to Nintendo Switch comes out well of one of the top works in the sector at the level of role-playing games. The control has been perfectly adapted to the joycons, and the game has a good font to read in Switch screen. Unfortunately, visually it is still exactly the same as it was 20 years ago, although due to its drawing style the graphics have not aged particularly badly. Nor do they take advantage of the tactile possibilities of the console and that is sadder, in addition to losing the audio in Spanish that the original version had. On the other hand, the additions and the possibility of playing anywhere can justify the purchase, always bearing in mind that these additions are the same ones that the PC version had back in 2012/2013. So the player who has already played those versions will only have the portable factor as a novelty, and at a price that is not exactly cheap.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is a must for the fan of good science fiction stories. Point. A good plot, with some great twists, spiced up with charismatic and well-defined characters spice up a mix of visual novel with tactical strategy that works. Perhaps more use of ramifications to add replayability and a greater variety of objectives in battles would have turned a practically outstanding game into a masterpiece. Still, its 30-hour duration will make you not regret your purchase.

Persona 5 Strikers is a worthy sequel to Persona 5, and fans will be delighted with it. With a very good combat system that tries to mix the musou genre with the characteristic contributions of the Persona saga to the battles and a good story, perhaps it is too irregular in some sections to become a round game, but it certainly will not disappoint.

Metro Exodus is a great game that provides a more than satisfactory ending for those of us who already have several games -and books- enjoying the adventures of Artyom, perhaps with some drawbacks in its open world concept that makes the game not reach excellence , but getting pretty close. This Enhanced Edition also takes the game to the next technical level, with practically a generation of difference according to which sections compared to the version of two years ago. And let's remember: this is a totally free update for game owners.

Alex Kidd returns in a great remake that will delight fans of the original game, although perhaps his control will make him ugly compared to those who enter new. His main flaws come when he has tried to put the artistic before the functional, with elements that prevent a correct visualization of what we have in front of, or melodies that are too far from the original work. Still, if you enjoyed the adventures of the onigiris little monkey-eating boy in SEGA's 8bits, you MUST buy this remake.

85 / 100 - Back 4 Blood
Oct 13, 2021

Enduring the comparison with the veteran Left4Dead saga is no small feat. And Back 4 Blood not only supports it, but at times it feels superior to Valve games -also developed by the people of Turtle Rock, eye-. Its large number of levels, the different characters, its card system -both for its own abilities and for modifiers in the game- or its gunplay make this game a great cooperative. Against it, some policies of the publisher, the impossibility of maps created by users or its Versus mode, here called Cloud. Still an essential game if you like cooperative titles and if you are a Left4Dead lover.

Fights in Tight Spaces is as if Slay the Spire and Into the Breach had a son and trained him to be John Wick. A huge game that, if we like XCOM-style turn-based strategy or card games, we are going to enjoy as children. And more than once, we will enjoy even more watching the repetitions of those fights that will have come out with a perfect choreography.

Expeditions Rome is a huge game that does a lot of things and does them all in a remarkable way. Turn-based battles, large-scale strategy, or stories with long-term decisions, take your pick. It won't disappoint the Expeditions veteran, and it won't disappoint the new player. Highly recommended.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker is a very good idea and, more importantly, a very well executed idea. No other game to date has made us feel like a wrecker like this. It's a shame that it lacks variety of content in the form of more types of spaceships, and that its sometimes endless dialogue is unplayable.

85 / 100 - Two Point Campus
Aug 4, 2022

We are facing a totally continuous game with respect to Two Point Hospital, which is not bad either. If we liked running a hospital together with the guys from Two Point Studios, we're going to like running a university campus. Again, crazy classes, beadles that dirty more than they clean, or technical inspections will be our companions in each one of the universities that we will manage.

85 / 100 - Soul Hackers 2
Aug 18, 2022

With Soul Hackers 2 Atlus once again creates a JRPG that will keep us guessing until the end. Monsters, great protagonists, strategic combats... it's a shame that the repetitiveness of the dungeons, both in design and execution, prevent us from facing a round game.

Transport Fever 2 is a great management game with a great campaign and a very high level of micro-management. Only its performance problems and certain debatable decisions at quality of life level prevent it from achieving the excellence. But still, game totally recommended for those who enjoy tycoon games, and worthy heir of the Transport Tycoon saga.

80 / 100 - Corruption 2029
Feb 24, 2020

We are facing a very continuous proposal by The Bearded Ladies after Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. Those who enjoyed that title will find a very recognizable type of game that will present new challenges. Unfortunately, the repetition of enemies and scenarios slightly tarnishes a title with a remarkable base.

We have before us a great console port of one of the great tycoon games of recent years. Being as difficult as it is to adapt this type of games to the pad control, the people of Two Point Studios should be proud of how it has come out, since it is controlled with great fluidity and comfort. In addition, the game comes out with two expansions, and promises new free modes soon. Although the loading times are longer than the game on PC and there is a decrease in resolution, it is a worthy port, which will convince anyone who wants to play the game on consoles.

80 / 100 - Bomber Crew
Jul 25, 2018

Under that childish layer that can repel in the first instance, Bomber Crew hides a deep gameplay, where tension and the need for quick decisions are the order of the day. Perhaps its curve of difficulty can reverse neophytes in the genre, or perhaps the handling could have somehow taken advantage of the touch screen of the console, but who knows how to ignore these small problems will find a worthy heir to Faster Than Light set in World War II that will provide you with many hours of gameplay.

Life Goes On offers puzzles where the death of each of the (infinite) soldiers of the king will prevail, and where each of these deaths will almost always serve a greater purpose, in addition to taking out the sadistic aspect that every human being has. In addition, the puzzles will never be complex enough to get stuck for many days in one, nor too easy to not get a feeling of victory every time you reach the end of the level, especially in the last ones. Being the first film of a group of three developers, little more could be asked of it. Recommended.

80 / 100 - Akane
May 15, 2019

Akane is a game made with great care, with superb gameplay and very well thought out, and a great artistic section with great predominance of cyberpunk. Its main tare is its lack of content in terms of scenarios (only one) and enemies, but a game system that encourages fast games, and a system of equipment improvements will still make the player amortize their purchase, which will also been for a very low price by today's standards.
