80 / 100 - White Night
Jun 1, 2018

White Night is a surprise that, bringing together the usual elements of the most popular horror titles, as well as the best noir cinema of the 30s, makes us part of a work capable of catching us from start to finish. Despite its short duration or technical drawbacks, White Night is highly recommended.

80 / 100 - The Fall
Jun 20, 2018

Over the Moon presents this great science fiction story that will give us a lot to think about, seasoned with a classic gameplay of graphic adventures, and although not so well resolved, an action and platforms component that, although they do not feel necessary , if they give a little variety to the development. Highly recommended title for all lovers of science fiction from the 80s and 90s, they will not be disappointed.

70 / 100 - Castle of Heart
Jul 16, 2018

Castle of Heart is a good 2D platformer and action game with age-old difficulty and a well-done setting. A classic sword and witchcraft story in a medieval fantasy world, that while not inventing anything new, it does the best it can to be an indie. The game is not without flaws, but neither is it without virtues and possibilities. Recommended.

The Fall Part 2: Unbound repeats all the good from its first part and the less good. With great weight in the great setting, the interesting plot and the brilliant narrative, but with the tare of the action sections, inherited from its first part, and although totally subjective, perhaps the game feels long. However, we are facing another great science fiction work where we will have to solve a great variety of puzzles, quite a few of them new and ingenious, while we look for the person who is attacking us. Recommendable.

Slaps and Beans is the first video game based on these two mythical actors where justice is done. All a tribute to the gangster cinema, spaghetti western, or buddy cop, out of the Italian film industry that between the 60s and 80s were the entertainment and fun of many of us who have already passed their thirties. We will handle our heroes in a classic brawler, fun without pretensions but that works perfectly based on an exquisite fan service that will delight fans. If you are not a fan of our Italian friends or simply do not know them, you will find a classic beat'em up, quite short, which even so, would be a recommended product, but which will lose its magic, perhaps interesting to give it a go on any offer.

Final Light, The Prison is a mediocre product, we won't be fooled. It has a couple of good ideas, and some flashes of wanting to be something else, but it fails in execution, and you can possibly see the seams of being a very low budget game that has also been released almost without advertising and at a pretty low price for what the game is trying to offer. Not even the plot, from where it could have been much more cool, is fulfilled in the end. It's not an absolute disaster, but it's relegated to the back burner for genre lovers and the curious.

80 / 100 - CastleStorm
Aug 28, 2018

CastleStorm comes to Switch after its journey through almost all platforms, with a full version well adapted to the characteristics of the Nintendo hybrid. Although the control of the ballista continues to give war when played traditionally, the game maintains its freshness, its simple concept and its correct learning curve, where we will be taught to play and open up new possibilities little by little. It features a humorous story mode, especially the Vikings campaign, a competitive mode, and a cooperative mode, which make a fairly complete and interesting version. Recommended.

65 / 100 - Lifeless Planet
Sep 6, 2018

Lifeless Planet comes to Switch four years later with the same proposal, a proposal that can catch you or leave you mildly indifferent. Trying to cover several things, and it does not quite do it well, but at some point it succeeds, and together with a typical but effective mystery plot, it may have you glued to the screen for the five hours that the game can last, because the exploration is not awarded, and the development is more linear than it seems. However if this does not stop us and we know how to see its virtues, the game will be enjoyable.

65 / 100 - Fall of Light
Sep 13, 2018

The proposal of this dungeon crawler with an isometric view and mechanics directly inspired by the works Dark Souls and ICO is striking enough to attract fans of either of these two franchises, although let's not kid ourselves, the game has certain flaws that make it difficult for us. It will make it more difficult than it already is. If you are a fan, especially Dark Souls, it will be worth giving it a try, which in addition to sounding familiar to us, the story will invite us to continue to make the extra effort to overcome those technical and playable pitfalls. If you are not such a fan, better wait for a sale, but big ones.

85 / 100 - Planet Alpha
Sep 21, 2018

PLANET ALPHA is a game of delicious invoice, with a simply perfect artistic section and 2.5D gameplay that works well. We will have to remove our character from this beautiful and dangerous planet while we attend something much greater, a conflict that escapes from our hands, but that influences how our adventure progresses. Platforms, puzzles, exploration, stealth, end up forming a very attractive cocktail for any player.

80 / 100 - Rise & Shine
Oct 5, 2018

Rise & Shine is a very interesting game that knows how to properly mix run & gun, bullet hell, platforms, and puzzles, all on a trial and error basis, fostered by the unlimited lives that we will have. A game of beautiful technical invoice, which shines in its artistic section and with a solid gameplay although the changes in pace and difficulty weigh. If you like the genres that are combined here, this is your game, and if not, the fan service itself to the video game world will give you a chance.

Yomawari: The Long Night Collection is a compilation of the two Yomawari games that appeared on other systems. The other two works were very high quality horror survivals, and of course that is maintained and multiplied by having the two installments in the same Collection. An almost obligatory purchase if we are fans of the genre and lovers of Japanese culture and folklore, the one who drinks to give life to the entire cast of Yōkai and Yūrei who populate this demonized city, where our defenseless girls will have to face the purest terror . A gameplay and simple mechanics dressed by an audiovisual section so beautiful and so expressive, that they will make us truly fear, fear every sound, fear the dark, fear the shadows, fear loneliness. Because the night is dark and full of horrors.

90 / 100 - Pinstripe
Oct 25, 2018

Frankly I liked it, Pinstripe has caught me from start to finish and made me finish it in a few hours, but not before having had to give a few extra turns to some of its puzzles and situations. An artistic section of nice but dark designs, a hell that is not so scary, but it worries you, and a story that unfolds inexorably with an ending that we will anticipate but that we do not want to see accomplished. It leaves me satisfied, although perhaps a little longer than that would have been appreciated, or perhaps it would have spoiled his fascination, be that as it may, it is a small work of art that I have the pleasure to recommend.

85 / 100 - Art of Balance
Nov 2, 2018

Art of Balance is a brilliant puzzle game that plays with physics and balance. With five game modes both single and multiplayer, this one both locally and online, we will have for many hours of fun. Despite continuing to carry away a specific problem from other deliveries, it is appreciated that this version arrives slightly expanded, making us the best version of all those that have appeared to date, and its very contained price only reaffirms that if you like the genre and you haven't tried this title yet, don't wait another second.

The Shapeshifting Detective is an adventure based on Full Motion Video that tries to escape the confinement of this format through a clever identity change mechanic and a random choice of the culprit to find. An intriguing story with noir influences and supernatural elements that help give development variety. The acting of the actors is correct, although amateur, with some over-acting, but generally with a minimum of quality. Despite not being a popular format, the game is solvent and its story has enough hook to catch us to the end, despite some fluency problems that we will encounter. Game recommended for all adventure lovers, and let's hope to see more developments using Full Motion Video from the guys at D'Avekki Studios.

60 / 100 - Time Carnage
Nov 15, 2018

Going from VR to a normal game is not easy, because the effect of surprising you lose on the way. This is what happens to Time Carnage, that what it does it does well, but it is not enough. Once the claim of virtual reality is lost, we are left with a somewhat slow wave shooter in its development, with little variety of game modes and some of these widely wasted. In its favor, it must be said that the four historical settings give rise to a variety of enemies, each with its own patterns and weaknesses, and that the mechanics with the four weapon slots give a certain dynamism and frenzy to the action in the waves. more advanced. It is a game that can be tested, although always before in VR if we have the option.

Sky Force Anniversary has surprised me with its classic proposal, but at the same time so highly current, with a progression system that is not based solely on progress, but on the achievement of different objectives (medals) and the need to improve our ship to carry them out. A technical section turned out, stable, and curious when mixing a more realistic art on stage with another more retro art on enemies, which accompanies wonderfully fast action, without complexes, and that will invite us to play and play almost without giving bill. At some point if it could have been improved or expanded, but those points that we mentioned before do not blur the final result either. Highly recommended.

If you like vintage flavored racing arcades, Horizon Chase Turbo is a must. It brings the best of those classics, it adds an absurdly large amount of content, a technical and artistic section that convinces whoever gets ahead, and complements it with a soundtrack that is vintage. Fun, direct, long, complete, beautiful, challenging, addicting ... It could go on like this all day, but it's easier to say that if you like the genre that Horizon Chase offers us, this game is necessary in your collection.

R-Type Dimensions EX although it is not a completely new product, it has received some small innovations that have only improved the compilation that we have already enjoyed the last generation. We will be able to enjoy the two classic arcades with a spectacular audiovisual facelift, or switch with just one button to the late 80s arcade we all know. The two player mode is a success, and the slow motion mechanics will lend us a hand, although the infinite mode will be a negative counterpoint, since it will give us the game canceling its difficulty and challenge. If you like R-Type, this compilation of the first two installments is essential.

90 / 100 - Super Hydorah
Dec 5, 2018

Super Hydorah has all the ingredients to become an instant classic, taking the best of the best in the genre, and masterfully combining it. It could be better with a more balanced difficulty, but we are not going to complain about a result that the geniuses of Locomalito and Gryzor87 have brilliantly solved. If you like shoot'em up, Super Hydorah cannot be missing from your collection.
