Have you ever looked at a game and thought it was going to play one way, but it plays another? Well, that is my opening thought with Evergate. When I first saw it at the end of the August Indie World of 2020, I thought it looked like the Ori games because it had a similar art style. Needless to say, I was completely wrong. What followed was a surprise though, as even though it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be, it still stunned me.

Nintendo 64 gamers will remember the platformer classics like Super Mario 64 or Banjo Kazooie, and remember the good old days of playing those games. AAA companies and also Indie games are trying to go back to the old collectathon days, with games like Super Mario Odyssey and Yooka-Laylee. Today, I focus my review on Siactro’s new game called: Super Kiwi 64.

Puzzle games can either be hit or miss. Either they are easy or way too hard, and quite a few barely hit the middle. With Pode I believe a perfect balance was hit, and while I was afraid of what was coming up, I felt like the game did it great. How was it able to manage that? Read and find out.

Kirby Triple Deluxe had a side game where you got to play with different Kirby abilities in a Smash Bros-like setting. The following year, Nintendo released a small game in the form of Kirby Fighters Deluxe which was focused on that side game. Fast forward to today and Nintendo out of nowhere revealed and launched Kirby’s Fighters 2. Is Kirby Fighter’s 2 worth the purchase? Did I enjoy my time with the game? I had never played a Rune Factory game before – not even that but any game of this genre. If you want a good idea of what Rune Factory is, it is like Stardew Valley where you harvest yourself a field of crops, go on adventures, interact with the town people, and so on and so forth. RWBY, pronounced as Ruby, is a series created by Roosterteeth and has been around for a long time now. It has hit every market possible, from merchandise, comics, board games, manga, and even an actual anime adaption. However, RWBY has been waiting for their own game for a long time. Roosterteeth tried making an in-house game called RWBY Grimm Eclipse which was passable at best. Ever since then, RWBY has been a part of other video game crossovers, like Smite, and one of the 4 fates of BlazBlue: Cross Tag battle.

Normally, licensed video games have a hard time being good, however, Spongebob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom hit it out of the park and the game gained a following for being so good. So when Spongebob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated was announced, you can understand the excitement that fans of that title must have felt. There will be games that make you feel like you don’t want to play them because they are so bad. Dread Nautical is that game for me. This game has many things that made me not like playing it, and I will be honest in that I have not beaten this game. I’ve had this game for a bit now, and whenever I start doing a session, I need to stop playing it 5-10 minutes at each time and at this point, I have grown tired. So why do I not like this game?
