5 / 10.0 - Last Stop
Aug 4, 2021

Last Stop goes to great lengths to build a story that mixes fantasy and absurdity with everyday family dramas. Even though it succeeds in its central objective, the title fails as a game, it offers very little to those who are following the fate of the characters on screen. With uninteresting minigames and few ramifications in the narrative from the choices we make for the characters, the game frustrates more than enchants.

5 / 10.0 - Bake 'n Switch
Sep 16, 2020

Bake ‘n Switch has charisma and a fun proposal. The competitive mode delivers a consistent experience, but the main focus, which is the campaign, falls short. The game suffers from imbalance, especially for two players, making the game tiring and frustrating. In addition, a simple method of connecting to other users in online matches is lacking. It is, without a doubt, a title made with care and attention to aesthetic details. But when it comes to gameplay, it needed to bake a little longer.

6 / 10.0 - Flatland Vol.2
Jul 15, 2021

Flatland Vol.2 brings enjoyable gameplay through exhilarating challenges. Even though it makes the player suffer, this happens within a limit that forces learning and helps in the process of acquiring techniques and resources to overcome challenges. The stages, however, in a short time become repetitive and with little replay factor. This ends up being reinforced in the complementary game modes, which are just variations of the standard experience. If repetition is not a problem, the look, music and level design of this title have everything to please even the most demanding player.

6 / 10.0 - Worms Rumble
Jul 1, 2021

Worms Rumble is credited with bringing a new perspective to this beloved franchise. However, the gains from the inclusion of multiplayer modes with real-time action neutralize the charms of Worms: we don't have the humor, brutal destruction and tension of turn-based combat titles. Despite this, it is a game made with quality and attention to detail. Fans of classic style will certainly have a harder time digesting the changes, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a try. After all, the constant updates and the inclusion of new modes show that Team17 is involved with the evolution and improvement of the title, which can become more and more polished and interesting.

6.5 / 10.0 - Down in Bermuda
Jan 20, 2021

Down in Bermuda is the typical case of the game that has a lot of wasted potential. The premise is good, but the story is underdeveloped. The puzzles are, for the most part, simple-minded, and the action comes down almost exclusively to looking for orbs through the stage. Considering the short experience, it is difficult to recommend this title for puzzle solving fans. However, it is undeniable to say that being in this world is something comfortable and satisfying.

7 / 10.0 - Faraday Protocol
Nov 24, 2021

Faraday Protocol tried to go straight to the point, offering a good selection of puzzles, though they aren't varied. Besides that, the narrative ends up being sacrificed so the game can focus on the action. Unfortunately, what could have been a virtue ends up being its Achilles' heel as it does exactly what it proposes while leaving behind a feeling that it should have done much more.

7 / 10.0 - Night Call
Jul 12, 2020

Night Call has few mechanics, but intriguing stories. In addition to the investigative premise itself, what really delights are the dozens of different people we deal with in Paris nights. These narratives are great and make the journey worthwhile. But, let's face it: for a game this is a big problem. Still, who wouldn't want to hear conversations in a taxi in a tense and mysterious world?

Linn: Path of Orchards has many merits and presents a proposal consistent with its original destination: the mobile environment. On the Switch the title works very well, but it is a short experience. The number of chapters and stages is very small, and the level of difficulty is very high in some of them. Therefore, it is necessary to have an open mind to deal with the error, and to know how to enjoy the path without so much stress - or desire to collect all the objectives. In the end, the awakening of sensitivity is what matters, not just the completion of the journey.

8 / 10.0 - Mighty Goose
Jun 9, 2021

Mighty Goose invests in the rescue of a style of game that was very successful in the 16-bit era. The title does what it proposes with excellence, hitting the nostalgia factor squarely but bringing elements that can help new players. It's not really a game that will generate interest for a long time, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, being a goose that loves action, even for a short time, is an attraction in itself.

8 / 10.0 - Sludge Life
Jun 2, 2021

Sludge Life is a short game that breaks out of the ordinary, offering an exploration environment with lots of unpretentious but still fun elements. Although it doesn't always seem like a game, because it demands very little from the player, the proposal is interesting in itself. Returning to the initial theme, I see Sludge Life much more as an aesthetic experience than a game I want to entertain. And yes, this is very good.

8 / 10.0 - GONNER2
Nov 26, 2020

Although it looks like an extremely simple title, GONNER 2 offers an intense action experience in conjunction with a good amount of content. The use of repetition as part of the gameplay forces players to give up the search for perfection and this, to some extent, reinforces the game's strengths. If you do not care too much about the process of dying continuously, the insistent return to the environments will always provide more charm than displeasure, mainly due to the novelty of the procedural phases. It's certainly not a title that appeals to everyone, but does it have to be? I think not. So, grab your head, bag and weapons, and go to the fight.

8 / 10.0 - Horace
Nov 4, 2020

Horace offers a very unique experience. The game mixes competent platform challenges with a well-constructed narrative, which proposes a reflection on existence from the dramas present in all of us. Horace learns little by little to understand people, understanding what feelings, pains and joys are. At the same time, we identify with the protagonist because he himself demonstrates that trait of sensitivity that characterizes us as humans. In the end, it is not just a journey of a robot understanding the human life, the player reflects about life as well.

9 / 10.0 - Axiom Verge 2
Sep 1, 2021

Axiom Verge 2 presents an intriguing and well-constructed narrative, mixed with a very interesting exploration system. Within a world rich in variations and with countless possibilities, the only problem is the repetitive combat. However, none of this takes away the shine of a game that is mandatory for exploration fans.

Monster's Expedition is practically perfect in everything it does. The game has challenging but not unfair puzzles, humor just right and very beautiful and varied scenarios. With the exception of choosing to hide the map most of the time, the navigation, controls and organization of stages in islands are very well done and tweaked. Those who like to rack their brains without getting angry will have fun like never before in this strange exhibition.

9 / 10.0 - Boomerang X
Jul 13, 2021

Boomerang X is like a puzzle game that must be played on the go, shooting a weapon that will return to you and evading enemies and thorns along the way. The campaign is short, but the feeling that there could be much more shows that the proposal to synthesize actions to the essentials was a success. It is stimulating both visually and frantically moving, and offers countless possibilities for each player to plan their own strategies during the stages. If you like to think fast and don't have labyrinthitis problems, this is certainly a title that can't go unnoticed.

9 / 10.0 - Picross S6
May 7, 2021

Picross S6 offers a lot of content and a great experience for those who enjoy logic games. As much as the actions seem repetitive, the puzzles are interesting and complex enough to entertain and challenge even the most skilled players. Despite this, for those who already come from other titles in the series, perhaps the feeling will be more of the same, since there is no significant innovation. However, for those who are now arriving in the world of Picross, the almost 500 puzzles will be more than enough.

Stick Fight: The Game is very good at everything it does, but it could go a little further. The absence of a singleplayer mode and more customization options, gradually diminish interest. However, despite the repetition and little incentive for a continuous sequence of matches, the game is a perfect companion for that moment when you want to challenge the family to a fast and fun fight. After all, being casual does not mean being simple, and that title shows it very well.

Overcooked! All You Can Eat offers a good amount of content for the price of a single game. In addition, it brings improvements to the first title of the series, making it more palatable, and gives more options for players, making the experience more inclusive and enjoyable.

Two Point Hospital brings an efficient resource management and simulation experience to the consoles. With a lot of variety, humor and content, the title does what it proposes almost perfectly. On the Switch version , specifically, the amount of information on the screen hinders visibility in the portable mode. In addition, the little challenge in the early stages and the amount of tutorial information can bother more experienced players. Those who go through these first moments, however, will find not only a large amount and variety of content, but also challenge in the right measure.

9 / 10.0 - Olija
Jan 31, 2021

Olija is a game that delivers a pleasant experience in all its areas. The platform challenges are very good, the combat is satisfactory and the mechanics of exploring and upgrading items serve what they are intended for. But it doesn't take away the feeling that the title could offer a little more, mainly in the quantity of content, in the quality of the puzzles (which, after all, are very rare) and in the development of the story. However, this does not diminish in any way the great journey, which will please those who love the classics of literature and games.
