Bioshock: The Collection unites three great works from the entertainment industry, which influenced several other subsequent steampunk themed titles. There is no doubt, therefore, that this is an indispensable collection on the Switch for those who have never tried it before. There are some minor problems that could be fixed, yes, but nothing that undermines the excellent - and philosophical - gameplay.

If your heart condition is adequate and you are good at controlling both puzzles and escapes, Little Nightmares II is a must for you. Its mechanics and level design are great, creating a game that can be used as a reference for the next generations in what it proposes to do: terrorize, involve and induce logical reasoning without major frustrations of the player. It is a pity that the story is not integraded in the game — key plot information is available on the internet and not in the gameplay.

Nintendo Switch Sports is already born as a Switch classic. Whether for its classic sports or its fun new features, the title enchants and promises even some free updates for the near future. With such a family-friendly game in a genre already so dominated by Nintendo, it's hard to understand how it appeared on the hybrid console just now, five years after its release. Now, at least, we'll be able to retire our Wii at family lunches.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is the remake of one (or two) complete experiences from past generations of video games, refining what had already worked very well and adding new modes that make the experience much more pleasurable and less tiring. Its controls are nimble; its maneuvers, diverse; and its rewards are fair. For those who can endure a bit the performance problems, somethin so important in fast-paced action games like this, Switch is an excellent choice, giving the opportunity to carry the world's skaters in your backpack.

8.5 / 10.0 - Inmost
Sep 2, 2020

For those who like a cinematic adventure - even if in pixel art - full of meanings and worthy of a night of reflection, INMOST is the right choice. Whether in its three different protagonists who have a lot in common, or in the refined audiovisual content, the message of the game will be delivered. It is a pity that, with so much mystery, it remains open to so many interpretations.

8.5 / 10.0 - Nexomon: Extinction
Sep 18, 2020

Nexomon: Extinction is, without a doubt, a mandatory monster-capturing game that does not deny its origins. You will find a game with elaborated plot and audiovisual content, and you will be presented with long hours of playing what could be the ninth generation of pocket monsters. Even with many innovations, some features that are considered mandatory are missing, such as online multiplayer and local trades. In search of an alternative among those so scarce in the genre, you will find in this game an intense and fun adventure that is worthwhile.

8.5 / 10.0 - ScourgeBringer
Oct 29, 2020

With a well elaborated artistic set, ScourgeBringer becomes one of the best roguelites available today. It tries to slowly reward players and is ideal for those who have more patience for trial and error mechanics. After a period of early access, which certainly contributed a lot to the current polish, this game is a recommendation both for enthusiasts and newcomers to the genre.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is the perfect definitive edition that the gaming industry should take as standard. New story elements, thirteen new characters and a lot of additional aesthetic content allows the fun to be prolonged without harming the players of the original version. Anyway, if you're enthusiastic about the 90's fighting franchise, MK11 Ultimate is a must-have for your library.

8.5 / 10.0 - Per Aspera
Dec 17, 2020

Per Aspera is a solid and concise experience in the real-time strategy genre. Its diversity of mechanics makes it so complex that the range of possibilities seems endless for each new adventure. This immense complexity, however, was where the developer sinned by not explaining all the mechanics clearly and sometimes trapping players in deadlocks without them understanding what they are doing wrong. I hope that the intense community support given so far will also correct these problems.

8 / 10.0 - Seers Isle
Dec 28, 2020

Nova-box developed a quality title with an engaging and mature plot in the genre of interactive visual novels, leaving the player thirsty for reaching all the endings. However, the not-so-varied diversity of events and the repeatability may prevent some players from seeing all the outcomes. Even so, Seers Isle is a title of extreme quality, and comes close to perfection.

In the end, Ghosts' n Goblins Resurrection faithfully reproduces its original experience, with excellent graphics, diverse mechanics, familiar enemies and a lot of nostalgia. This could be the starting point for the franchise's definitive resurrection, or just a last breath of life. Even trying to make the title more accessible to new players, the difficulty is still high. Novice players may struggle to adapt to the challenges, while the nostalgic ones will find the same challenging experience as 36 years ago.

7.5 / 10.0 - Narita Boy
Apr 5, 2021

Narita Boy is a remarkable adventure, mainly for its blessed and retro-futuristic graphic style, but Studio KOBA's lack of experience made the plot a little repetitive and tiring. Still, it's worth checking out Narita Boy, who should find his place among the successful independent games and receive a sequel in the years to come.

Being an excellent gateway to the genre of visual novels, Jisei: The First Case HD remasters a title from the past decade in a short but very interesting experience. This door becomes even more inviting with Brazilian Portuguese subtitles and excellent dubbing. You will run into some small problems and wish you had found more alternatives in the story, but you will still be satisfied.

7 / 10.0 - Welcome to Elk
Sep 24, 2020

Welcome to Elk delivers exactly what it proposes: to tell some shocking real stories within a fictional universe that unites them. For some, it can become a tedious experience, broken by short and fun minigames. Still, the game shows to be developed with great care, in colorful and friendly illustrated arts. So, grab a drink and hear a little of what each inhabitant has to say.

6 / 10.0 - Skully
Aug 17, 2020

Skully would be a good recommendation, but the port has some technical problems in the graphics and the controls. It is a title that, with its challenging stages and simple storyline, reminds platformers of past generations. That so, the port that should have been released with more care, it is up to us to wait for a patch with corrections.

6 / 10.0 - Cozy Grove
Apr 21, 2021

Cozy Grove manages to deliver an experience that captures you with the simplest elements. It may even be that some foods have no apparent function or that the missions get boring, but the game brings together the basic elements of simulation that give the cozy aspect that it wants to provide. Unfortunately, the mobile focus of the game and the lack of zeal in several aspects weigh heavily on the scale for the experience to be worthwhile on the Switch, so maybe you will have more fun on a smartphone.
