8 / 10.0 - Part Time UFO
Dec 17, 2020

Part Time UFO uses charm and creativity to create a great puzzle games. Carrying things with a claw and doing countless jobs is fun, mainly because of the wide variety of situations, which are even cooler in the company of a friend. Some moments are annoying, as they require a lot of precision and the controls don't always offer the needed accuracy - luckily, they are rare. The visual captivates with the use of lots of color and expressive characters, and there is a lot of content to explore in optional modes and challenges. In the end, Part Time UFO is a unique experience and a remarkable puzzle.

Alba: Wildlife Adventure offers an immersive and beautiful experience. It is captivating to explore an island in search of animals to photograph while trying to prevent the mayor's greed and the degradation of nature. The ambience won me over with its stunning look and countless beautiful places to visit, and the light pace creates a relaxing atmosphere. The topics covered are interesting and the simplicity of the systems makes the adventure accessible, but I believe that it would not hurt to do a little more depth. In the end, Alba's adventure oozes character and is a great option for those looking for a peaceful experience.

5.5 / 10.0 - Destropolis
Dec 8, 2020

Destropolis entertains with stages brimming with projectiles and chaos. The action is frantic and exciting, thanks to lots of weapons, skills and intense challenge, especially in the company of friends. However, the absence of other modes, shallow mechanics and limited variety of situations makes the experience repetitive in a short time. In the end, the game is a good option for quick and uncompromised fun, but nothing more.

6.5 / 10.0 - John Wick Hex
Dec 4, 2020

John Wick Hex dares to explore the film franchise in a genre completely different from the inspirational material. The mix of puzzle and strategy is immersive with concepts that mix tactical thinking and real time elements, and it's very exciting to face several enemies simultaneously - in these moments, we have the feeling of being inside one of the elaborate action scenes of the films. It is a pity that the limited variety of content and situations makes the experience repetitive, however it is a creative title.

9 / 10.0 - Haven
Dec 3, 2020

Haven captivates with an adventure that mixes light RPG and survival elements. It is exciting to glide through an exotic planet with areas that invite exploration. The combat surprises with its depth and variety in tactical battles that require rhythm, coordination and a lot of attention. At the center of this is a charismatic couple of protagonists whose relationship is explored in countless fun scenes full of complicity. Some elements in the exploration are a little obtuse and break the fluidity, but they are circumventable. In the end, Haven turns out to be a remarkable and memorable journey.

7.5 / 10.0 - The Pathless
Nov 20, 2020

The Pathless wraps you with its agile mechanics and a sense of freedom. It is ecstatic to explore the world as the Huntress, who jumps and runs with speed and style while shooting arrows at targets. Progression is free and the vast settings have a lot of puzzles and story context, but the limited variety gets tiring after a while. The visuals, the music and the ambiance create an adventure with a contemplative feel, however the simplicity of many aspects is uncomfortable. In the end, The Pathless offers a unique, if not very memorable, journey.

Nov 3, 2020

The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny is a portable version of the fighting series that manages to adapt its main characteristics in a smaller package. The combat system is surprisingly deep, and many interesting mechanics make the battles exciting, even with some limitations in the controls and the rhythm. In addition to being technically great, the game has a lot of content to unlock, which encourages exploring all modes. The Switch version offers reasonable, if somewhat limited, options. In the end, The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny is one of the best titles in Neo Geo Pocket Color lineup and also a remarkable retro fighting game.

8 / 10.0 - Carto
Oct 30, 2020

Carto captivates with its mix of inventive puzzles and relaxing pacing. The main concept of manipulating the map to solve puzzles and tasks is quite interesting, and various situations explore it in creative ways. The challenges are accessible, but there are sections with obscure solutions or steps that hinder progress a little. The chill tone is reinforced with a colorful universe reminiscent of an illustrated book, simple text and diverse themes approached with humor, making exploration a delight. In the end, Carto is a charming and different adventure that is worth checking out.

7.5 / 10.0 - GONNER2
Oct 26, 2020

GONNER2 is a fast-paced run and gun adventure. It is exciting to defeat enemies in combos while escaping danger, especially when death is often on the prowl. The exotic setting stands out and it is a delight to explore its colorful world, even if it is common to get lost in the visual confusion. The difficulty is severe and you will die a lot until you reach the end of the adventure. Unfortunately, the content of the game is limited, roguelike aspects, such as different equipment and procedural generation, alleviate this feeling, even if it is not always enough. In the end, GONNER2 is an intense and brief experience.

8.5 / 10.0 - Disc Room
Oct 22, 2020

Disc Room is an agile and unique dodge 'em up. Trying to dodge lethal discs and other dangers in small arenas is both difficult and exciting, and the fun is to figure out how to overcome the countless complicated stages. There is a good variety of situations in the compact adventure, with puzzles, secrets and a more difficult mode for those willing to face a good challenge. Small technical problems and some balance issues hinder the experience, but options to adjust the difficulty allow players of different skill levels to enjoy the game. Brief and intense, Disc Room is for those looking for a good challenge.

8.5 / 10.0 - Crown Trick
Oct 20, 2020

Crown Trick uses turn-based movement and roguelike elements to create an exciting dungeon crawler. The highly tactical combat is its biggest highlight: simple concept mechanics and a wide range of skills allow you to build different strategies, and it is very rewarding to create devastating elemental combos. The challenge is intense and fair most of the time, but peaks of difficulty and unbalanced aspects are a little uncomfortable. In addition, an interesting world, great visuals and a clear interface make exploration enjoyable. In the end, the result is a remarkable, intense and engaging experience - I keep trying to escape the Nightmare World even after countless defeats.

7.5 / 10.0 - Ikenfell
Oct 16, 2020

Ikenfell is an RPG that captivates with its charisma. The journey of the group of magic students is punctuated by great story moments and good character development, and the retro atmosphere gives its universe a unique charm. Structurally, the game features classic exploration concepts and interesting tactical combat - mixing positioning and action commands was a good idea. However, the title is compromised by conservative aspects and balance issues that can make things frustrating. In the end, Ikenfell is a pleasant experience, even if it is not very special.

8 / 10.0 - Ring of Pain
Oct 15, 2020

Ring of Pain manages to provide a unique dungeon crawling experience by combining cards, RPG and roguelike elements. It is exciting to explore small floors in the form of rings, mainly because of the various situations that evoke puzzles, positioning and strategy. The basic mechanics are simple, but there are several nuances and possibilities to master, which encourages constant experimentation. Many resources allow you to deal with the brutal difficulty, but some inconsistencies hinder the experience a little. The macabre and disconcerting setting is good, bringing an atmosphere of tension and strangeness all the time. In the end, Ring of Pain is for those looking for a good challenge - I keep trying to understand its cryptic universe, even if it requires dying a lot.

6.5 / 10.0 - Against the Moon
Oct 2, 2020

Against The Moon has unique mechanics, but the execution leaves a little to be desired. Combat, which mixes cards, positioning and strategy, stands out with creative concepts and high difficulty - it is very rewarding to make sacrifices and build synergies to overcome tense situations. Different types of heroes, units and spells allow you to create numerous tactics, and the striking setting complements the experience. Unfortunately the game suffers from notable problems of imbalance, random elements that hinder tactical aspects and limited content. In the end, Against The Moon presents a solid foundation, but it still needs to be polished to reach its real potential.

9.5 / 10.0 - Hades
Sep 28, 2020

Hades is an action title that manages to combine different aspects in an exceptional and impressive roguelite adventure. Exploring the Underworld in intense combat is exciting, and each run offers a unique experience because of the different rooms and powers. An extensive variety of content makes the cycle of dying and starting over rewarding, and there are many options to customize the game, such as weapons and alternative skills. The narrative extends intelligently through the runs, and the universe is immersive, with stunning visuals, great voice acting and quality music. In the end, Hades is one of those addictive and difficult-to-drop titles - even though I have escaped several times, I'm still playing and getting surprised with the possibilities.

8 / 10.0 - Going Under
Sep 23, 2020

Going Under captivated me with its crazy and eccentric premise. Exploring ruins of failed tech companies in control of an intern is strange and exciting, mainly because you can use almost anything as a weapon. The main concept gives room for experimentation and strategy, and it is necessary to constantly improvise in order to overcome the complicated challenges. The comical tone is present in every corner with humorous dialogues, unusual situations and countless amusing references. On the negative, the adventure proves to be a bit repetitive, even with roguelite aspects, and sometimes chaos gets in the way. In the end, Going Under is an internship worth checking out.

8.5 / 10.0 - Avicii Invector
Sep 16, 2020

AVICII Invector Encore Edition presents a great combination of music and visuals. Controlling a ship to the rhythm of the sound is very engaging and fun because of the presence of good mechanics, interesting sequences of notes and intense challenge. The title revisits the work of AVICII by bringing its great hits and some lesser-known tracks in a great selection of pop-electronic music. Even those who are not a fan of the genre can enjoy the game because of the exciting atmosphere and gameplay. There is solidity in its concept and system, but the absence of extras and options is a letdown. In the end, AVICII Invector Encore Edition celebrates the musician's legacy in a remarkable rhythm game.

8 / 10.0 - Star Renegades
Sep 8, 2020

Star Renegades offers an interesting and visually beautiful RPG and roguelike experience. The turn-based battle is its best feature, due to the presence of the remarkable nuanced timeline manipulation system. In addition, the wide variety of heroes, techniques and equipment offers many options when assembling tactics - mastering resources is essential, as the difficulty is accentuated. As a roguelike, the game falls short with exploration with few events and limited structure, which brings a sense of repetition. Still, it is worth playing Star Renegades to experience its excellent combat.

7 / 10.0 - Witcheye
Sep 4, 2020

Witcheye uses an unusual concept in a creative title. Controlling a witch transformed into a floating eye is intuitive, and there are many interesting moments throughout the journey. Combat, in particular, is highlighted because of the diversity of enemies and situations, which resemble small puzzles. The play sessions are agile because of the short stages and the fast pace, but sometimes the simplicity and problems with the controls are annoying. In the end, Witcheye is a brief, unique and fun experience, even if not very memorable.

8 / 10.0 - UnderMine
Sep 1, 2020

UnderMine applies roguelite concepts in a great game. The cycle of exploring, collecting money, dying, improving the character and trying again is addictive, as each game is unique and there is a constant feeling that we are progressing. The variety of powers that can be obtained along the way, in particular, makes each attempt exciting and unpredictable - part of the fun is just seeing what crazy combination of skills will come next. There is a lot of content to explore, although the need to grind to unlock certain resources makes things a bit repetitive, apart from a few other problems. In the end, UnderMine is a solid, polished action dungeon crawler.
