8 / 10.0 - No Longer Home
Dec 30, 2021

Net of a poor technical sector, especially on Switch, No Longer Home is one of the most touching experiences of the year. Independent to the core, Humble Grove's game tells the dramas of everyday life in what is a semi-autobiography of its two authors, stuck in one of the most confused and difficult moments of their post-adolescence. It is a very short work, which can be completed in a single session of just over two hours, but capable of touching deeply.

Needy Streamer Overload is a disturbing and morally problematic title, which highlights an extremely ambiguous nature that seems to hide a fairly obvious hatred towards the figure of the streamer.

That of Voice of Cards is an operation of an uncertain nature: too little time between one chapter and another, too few changes, too much repetition of the same stumbles.

6.5 / 10.0 - Chocobo GP
Mar 3, 2022

Chocobo GP takes up the speech abandoned by SquareSoft at the end of the 90s and brings to light the official kart racer dedicated to the Final Fantasy franchise. It resurrects the concept of Story Mode, expands the roster of characters and makes some changes to the basic idea - introducing an interesting declination of online multiplayer.

6.5 / 10.0 - Sol Cresta
Mar 12, 2022

Behind Sol Cresta hides the desire for redemption of a Platinum Games wounded in pride since the days of Star Fox Zero. A Shoot 'em up with ancient inspirations but aware of coming into the world in 2022, capable of introducing a great variety of innovative and ingenious mechanics but which exaggerates with the amount of its contents, which become almost suffocating.

6 / 10.0 - A Memoir Blue
Mar 26, 2022

A Memoir Blue is a strange video game. A story closely linked to the aquatic element that wants to tell the memory of a unique relationship as it can be what there is between mother and daughter, deep as the sea and stormy as the stormy ocean.

The Kaito Files delves into Takayuki Yagami's handyman shoulder, introducing very interesting revelations about Kaito's past and, above all, exhibited with great elegance. It is an additional chapter focused on brawls that, unfortunately, forces its protagonist to submit to some gameplay dynamics that marry poorly with his most violent and animalistic nature, as well as being made with a questionable level of care.

Apr 13, 2022

Forgive Me Father is a Doom-clone as many are seeing in the last period. A concentration of extreme splatter, comic graphics, Lovecraftian suggestions and some small RPG ambitions that however ends up collapsing under the weight of some anachronistic and superficial game and level design choices.

7.5 / 10.0 - Slipstream
Apr 20, 2022

Slipstream is a panacea for all those nostalgic for OutRun looking for something similar but that knows how to stand out. Drifting is wonderful in front of such well-made backgrounds, especially if to frame everything there is a varied soundtrack but always fully spot on.

The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe is a conversion, remake, update, sequel and negation of the original work. All together. A title that nine years ago changed the videogame landscape and that today returns not to complete its mission, but more to reflect on itself, on what it has represented and on what it has left to the industry. Some passages of the "New Content" are hallucinatory and brilliant, and blend with the original content in a masterful way. In short, The Stanley Parable is one of those experiences that anyone should play at least once in their life.

9 / 10.0 - Citizen Sleeper
May 18, 2022

Citizen Sleeper is a breath of fresh air for a genre like science fiction, increasingly inclined to self-cite and enhance its aesthetics, leaving the content partially in the shadows. Its settings, although not directly observable, are alive, pulsating, and inside it is possible to intertwine with the stories of the inhabitants of Erlin's Eye.
