I can’t possibly imagine anyone actually enjoying the soul-crushing ordeal of playing Left Alive.
If all you want is mindless mecha fun where you can drop into a mission and destroy waves of enemies without a second thought, Custom Mech Wars is the game for you. If you're really looking for a meaty mecha game with lots of worthwhile content, please for the love of all things mecha, just get Armored Core 6 Fires Of Rubicon instead.
What does it say about My Hero One’s Justice 2 when I can’t even recommend it to My Hero Academia fans? Not only did I not enjoy my time with the game, I felt offended that my favourite characters and stories were being butchered in such a terrible game. Worst of all, it feels like a disservice to Kohei Horikoshi’s brilliant work.
Gotham Knights don't offer anything new or interesting in terms of actual gameplay; most of the game's mechanics have been done better elsewhere. The only saving grace of the game is that it features members of the Bat-family as playable characters in an action game, which is something that's extremely rare and should be done more often. The combat can also be sort of fun if the game wasn't so grindy and if it runs more smoothly.
Tiny Roar was too ambitious while making XEL. The scale of the game should have been smaller so that the team could make a more polished product. Instead, they’re in over their heads. Maybe with time and further updates or patches, it’ll be closer in terms of quality to the game franchise it aspires to be but right now it doesn’t hold a candle to The Legend Of Zelda or even to other recent Zelda-like games like Death’s Door or Hob.
No amount of good cutscenes or music can salvage a game with bad gameplay. Balan Wonderworld is average and mediocre at best. For a AAA 3D platformer with a AAA price, that’s not acceptable at all.
The game is brimming with potential. Unfortunately, the weak narrative, plain bad combat, and a plethora of bugs and glitches make it so that I simply can’t recommend that anyone buy this ten-hour-long game.
An Avatar game was a strange choice to become a game from the beginning, and adding the Far Cry formula to it has resulted in a game that's not good but not too bad either; it's just mediocre. Hopefully, Massive Entertainment's next game, Star Wars Outlaws, looks to have higher prospects of being a better game and not just another uninspired game based on a famous IP. Avatar Frontiers Of Pandora is truly only for fans who just want more from James Cameron's Avatar, but not those looking for a great open-world game to sink their teeth into.
This is a game that only the most hardcore Final Fantasy fans, or maybe even fans of rhythm games in general, can truly enjoy to the fullest. For everyone else, you're basically just paying for the music, and nothing much else. Personally, I'd rather spend my time just listening to them on Spotify or any other music streaming service.
If you're hankering for a new SRPG to play, The DioField Chronicle barely scratches that itch but there are worse ways to spend your time.
Dolmen really has lots of potential. It could have been a decent first effort from Massive Work Studio, if not for the jankiness and bugs. Some of the progression system and mechanics (like the crafting system) might be worth looking into, but as of right now, they’re underdeveloped and not well explained.
[Lost Judgment is] quite a slog, to be sure, but ardent fans should appreciate it better than the majority of people expecting a shake-up like Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
Rustler is not a bad game. The writing and setting can be fun and entertaining, but the shoddy controls and janky mechanics make for an unsatisfying experience. I enjoyed the game but couldn't really bear to play much of it one sitting.
Your enjoyment of Siege Survival Gloria Victis will depend on how much you like to see human suffering. Sieges are often hellish and hopeless experiences and that’s reflected well in this game. This really feels like a survival game with strategy and resource management elements, so the gameplay isn’t good enough to make up for the overall depressing tone of the game.
Proceed with caution like these heroes would in this hellish world.
would like nothing more than to recommend a Malaysian-made game like DeLight The Journey Home. Only two out of five planned Chapters are currently available, and unfortunately, they’re not equal in quality.
Did PGA Tour 2K21 manage to win me over and convert me into a golf fan? The answer is a simple "nope, it did not". If you’re not already a fan of golf, this game won’t be convincing you otherwise anytime soon.
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot feels like it doesn’t know what it really wants to be. It’s great as a love letter to all things Dragon Ball but fails to impress in any way as an action-adventure JRPG.
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a serviceable 3D anime brawler. You don’t need to be a fan to like this game, but I’d still recommend it to fans first and foremost since they’ll be more likely to forgive the game’s faults and appreciate the fan service.
Ultimately, Stellar Blade is a game that focuses on style over substance with aa developer being overly ambitious for their first AAA console title. Let's hope that SHIFT UP continues to improve with their future games because with further refinement and a more specific tight focus on sharpening and honing its good mechanics instead of mixing everything in a mess like throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks, Stellar Blade could have turned out to be a much better game.
