The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is inadequate in all respects. Something good can be glimpsed in the second act, but it is still a drop in a sea of mediocrity that isn't worth your time, and especially not worth the involvement of such an important license as The Lord of the Rings.

AEW: Fight Forever feels like an old game, attempting to appeal to nostalgia but falling short in every respect by today's standards. It may be fun in casual matches with friends, but its merits end there.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers brings an intriguing new way to leverage the Dragon Ball's universe, but it unluckily lacks in execution with a bad technical production, balancement issues and a monetization scheme more suited to a mobile free-to-play game.

6 / 10.0 - Saints Row
Sep 3, 2022

Saints Row is not the reboot the series needed, significantly limiting the levels of insanity and comedy that are the hallmark of the series, while maintaining a gameplay that is now dated and in need of a serious makeover. This made it a decent but soulless title, definitely forgettable in today's landscape. If you're looking for a not-too-demanding open world it can still wring a few laughs out of you, but at the moment Saints Row smacks too much of a wasted opportunity. The series has great potential, but it needs a real leap forward if it is to have a future.

CyberConnect2's new game feels like a missed opportunity, with a lazily built Naruto story mode and identical gameplay to the past games. Boruto's story mode and the huge roster of characters help it to partly recover, but it's too little, especially for a game that is supposed to celebrate 20 years of Naruto history.

Sword Art Online: Last Recollection is the worthy conclusion, narrative-wise, of the SAO Gamerverse, with continuous twists and turns and the presence of many memorable characters. Unfortunately, on a gameplay level the many mechanics introduced are of little use, and even on a technical level it doesn't impress, also presenting several quality-of-life flaws. It is in all respects a title to be played solely for the plot, dedicated to those who enjoyed the previous chapters.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris tries to experiment with too many different mechanics without making them too compelling, and that's hampered by a lackluster technical production. It's anyway got a good basis, and SAO fans will definitely appreciate its depiction of the anime's universe and the huge levels of fan service present.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin feels like a wasted opportunity, with an intriguing base idea but a lackluster plot, bad characterization and a disappointing technical production. It's partly saved by a satisfying - although not original - gameplay and a surprising ending.

6.7 / 10.0 - King's Bounty II
Sep 4, 2021

King's Bounty II is a title that only strategy fans will really appreciate. Gameplay is satisfying, but it is nevertheless undermined by a disappointing technical aspect and many little ingenuities that make the experience slow and tedious and that, if solved, would greatly improve the quality of life of the game.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is more than just a remaster, with many new contents and meaningful gameplay improvements with more technical fights and the 60 fps frame rate. Too bad we can't say the same about its online multiplayer gameplay, which can feel almost unplayable due to the delay-based netcode. All in all, this would be an advised buy only if you're planning alone or in local multiplayer.

7.5 / 10.0 - Dead Island 2
May 1, 2023

Dead Island 2 manages to surprise by proving to be solid and, above all, fun, thanks to an excellent co-op segment and a great dismemberment system. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said at the narrative level, and the gameplay suffers from excessive repetitiveness, but it still remains a worthy zombie game for fans of the genre.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! feels more like a remaster than a remake, with an updated technical aspect but not up to modern standards and with the major novelty, Troops, proving to be far too invasive. At the same time, though, the game represents the end of an almost 10-year-long wait for one of the missing chapters in the series, thus turning out to be an almost obligatory purchase for any fan and for newbies alike, as it doesn't require any prior knowledge of the series.

7.5 / 10.0 - One Piece Odyssey
Jan 11, 2023

One Piece Odyssey is a turn-based JRPG that mixes a classic formula with some new elements. While not a masterpiece, it offers a nice breath of fresh air for licensed anime games. Unfortunately, narrative pacing and an inconsistent technical department make for a diluted and boring experience, but it remains recommended to both fans of the saga and JRPG fans in general.

7.5 / 10.0 - Gotham Knights
Oct 20, 2022

Gotham Knights has a lot of potential which, however, stays partly unexpressed: the fights suffer from a lower physicality compared to the previous Arkham titles and even the city traversal appears less convincing, while a graphics performance mode would have helped in the most frantic action scenes. It however remains a game capable of entertaining and highly recommended to fans of the Bat-family, mainly thanks to a good story that manages to keep us glued to the screen.

7.7 / 10.0 - BIOMUTANT
May 24, 2021

Biomutant shows a big potential, but it unfortunately misses to fully reach its initial ambitions due to reused content, some narrative problems, and a technical production not on par with today's standards. The game is nevertheless still good and capable of entertaining with its frenetic gameplay and its beautiful scenarios; it's therefore recommended to lovers of the genre.

8 / 10.0 - WWE 2K24
Mar 6, 2024

WWE 2K24 continues the franchise's positive streak and packs a title that is sure to satisfy the most avid wrestling fans or even those who have recently become fans of the discipline. The Showcase dedicated to 40 years of WrestleMania, the MyRISE mode and the myriad of content will keep you busy for a long time, with straightforward and fun gameplay, even if it still lacks the technical leap forward we've been waiting for.

8 / 10.0 - LEGO 2K Drive
May 22, 2023

LEGO 2K Drive is a colourful, fun and light title, as well as a pleasant surprise. It's not a perfect game or one with great competitive pretensions, but it allows us to spend several carefree hours in numerous activities. Recommended for a young audience as well as a more experienced one, especially for social evenings thanks to the local multiplayer.

8 / 10.0 - WWE 2K23
Mar 25, 2023

WWE 2K3 picks up from the base thrown in last year without disrupting anything, but going on to improve several details. The John Cena-dedicated Showcase mode is interesting and varied, just as the two new My Rise stories come with more narrative care. MyGM and MyUniverse are perfect for simulation fans, while MyFaction brings FUT-style online competition for the first time. Too bad just for the dated technical compartment, but it still remains a must-have title for wrestling fans.

8 / 10.0 - Cris Tales
Aug 1, 2021

Cris Tales turned out to be a pleasant surprise, managing to impress us for originality and artistic style, as well as interesting gameplay mechanics. Even if it shows a certain inexperience in the general balance of pace and powers, with some of them too overpowered making it almost useless to look for different combinations, it still remains a great homage to classic turn-based JRPGs, so we can only recommend everyone to give it a look.

Watch Dogs Legion keeps the series' base mechanics while enhancing the whole formula thanks to the higher gameplay and tactical variety provided by the huge choice of agents available. This has the downside of making every character pretty forgettable though, keeping us from establishing an emotional bond with any of them.
