Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is a good (re)starting point for the famous detective's video game saga. The mysteries this time are a bit easier, but there are many more contents than usual thanks to the new open-world approach even if the new features would have used a little more development. All in all, the new direction of Sherlock Holmes is definitely the right one and we're eager to see where it will lead in the future.

Battlefield 2042 had all the right cards to offer an incredible experience - huge maps, more players (bots included), destructive weather events and the promising Portal mode. It is, however, unfortunately incomplete due to technical glitches, missing features and senseless design choices. The potential to become one of the best episodes of the saga is there, but it will take time and many corrective updates.

Just about everything about the release of this game baffles me. it’s a completely unoriginal arena shooter with subpar shooting mechanics, uninspired visuals, insufficient performance, a multiplayer player base that was already virtually dead on launch week, and a painfully monotonous single-player campaign that almost feels like an extended tutorial.
White Shadows is a cinematic platformer with a truly captivating style, which is not afraid to tackle important issues such as discrimination, slavery or suicide. The surreal and macabre world that the young protagonist crow has to face is really nice and distressing, but unfortunately the gameplay and the technical side are not always in step with the beautiful environments. Nevertheless, It's recommended to all fans of the genre, especially for the topics covered.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story immerses us in the rich lore of League of Legends without the need to play the iconic MOBA on PC. Well-crafted characters and a very attractive audiovisual style can partially cover the shortcomings of a not particularly original JRPG-like gameplay and a story that doesn't dare to deviate too much from the existing lore. Nevertheless, this remains a good dive in Riot Games' saga, but also a good starting point, along with Wild Rift and the TV series Arcane, to introduce newcomers to this rich universe.

It may not revolutionize the formula, but the new iteration of the engine allows the game to unleash thousands of enemies at the same time, giving the player levels of chaos and destruction they have rarely witnessed in a video game. I can close an eye on some of the jank when I can blow up dozens of headless kamikazes, with Sam delivering intentionally corny one-liners after, and I suspect other people who grew up on this franchise may be able to do the same.
The potential for something fascinating was there, but unfortunately, the game's first hour gave us a false impression, as the promising combat model and exploration became a repetitive, prolonged slog way before the end credits. Too bad.
Sleepin' Guy Deluxe Edition is an original first-person puzzle game, with a good basic idea and intriguing mechanics. There are a lot of memorable levels, although some puzzles can be a bit frustrating due to a not excellent control system. Considering its low price too, it is definitely a recommended purchase for anyone looking for a different first-person adventure.

OlliOlli World reaches the series' full maturity with a colorful and imaginative world, captivating characters and lots of content and challenges, offering a package never so fascinating and complete. Recommended to all the lovers of skateboarding and platforming.

CrossfireX is, more than any other game, a two-sided coin. On one side we get a lacklustre and disappointing multiplayer component, while on the other we have two compelling, spectacular and creative - even if short - CoD-style campaigns, where Remedy's footprint is clearly visible. As a complete package, it's barely sufficient, but since they can be bought separately at a convenient price, we recommend trying the campaigns if you're into this kind of single-player FPS experience.

It may lack originality, a couple game modes, and quality of life additions from later chapters of Nintendo's counterpart, but it's a polished and fun collection of nonograms with a distinct Hatsune Miku flavour that will keep fans of the genre entertained for several dozens of hours, filling exactly that Picross-shaped hole that's been missing from the Xbox One and Series X|S library.
KungFu Kickball would have all the makings of a great party game, but it lacks in depth and variety. Moreover, the overly simplistic single player component and the almost non-existent online community relegate it to the role of a game that can only be played among friends.

a revised physics model and much improved riding assistances make the game a lot more accessible than before, making this the best episode so far for newcomers. Veterans will only find iterative upgrades here, and even the new campaign mode offers very little novelty, but it’s all in all a better game than the 4th episode from 2021.
Tunic doesn't disappoint. Maybe some combat system choices can be a bit perplexing, but they aren't able to ruin one of the most memorable, deep and mysterious indie experiences of the last years. Behind a cute look is in fact hidden a deep, varied and fascinating game, capable of revealing new aspects even many hours after the ending.

Slipstream reproduces at its best many of the visual and gameplay elements that made games like Out Run unforgettable, offering also a remarkable amount of game modes. There are still some perplexities about the inconstant difficulty, but given the excellent price it is undoubtedly a title recommended to all lovers of retro driving games.

In the end, I found myself having a good time with Shredders, but there’s still plenty to iron out in its design before it has the chance to be remembered as one of the great snowboarding titles. Its inclusion in Game Pass both on Xbox and PC makes it easy enough to drop in and out as various updates hit, and I’m curious to see where the game will ultimately land.
Loot River combines attractive looks and sounds to roguelike mechanics with Tetris contaminations, giving life to a definitely original gameplay loop. It suffers from some repetitiveness and a not too deep combat system, but it remains capable of fascinating the player thanks to its unique mechanics.

In short, Broken Mind can sometimes be a fascinating experience with some interesting story beats and curious playable segments, but it's sadly hampered by formulaic puzzles, clunky combat and uneven technical polish. The game is still worth a shot for those looking for peculiar horror games.
