Arcadegeddon might just secretly become my go-to co-op shooter for some time, and I sincerely hope that the muted Early Access launch last year won't end up hurting the game's long-term plans. Because even with its lack of originality and limited variety, Arcadegeddon offers a surprisingly satisfying and addictive gameplay loop, one that deserves to be built upon for months or years.
Slipstream reproduces at its best many of the visual and gameplay elements that made games like Out Run unforgettable, offering also a remarkable amount of game modes. There are still some perplexities about the inconstant difficulty, but given the excellent price it is undoubtedly a title recommended to all lovers of retro driving games.

White Shadows is a cinematic platformer with a truly captivating style, which is not afraid to tackle important issues such as discrimination, slavery or suicide. The surreal and macabre world that the young protagonist crow has to face is really nice and distressing, but unfortunately the gameplay and the technical side are not always in step with the beautiful environments. Nevertheless, It's recommended to all fans of the genre, especially for the topics covered.

Revisiting areas further underlines another one of Demon Turf’s main problems: most levels feel relatively soulless, empty. As much as their visual style is generally on point, they still offer vast areas with very little happening, offering half a minute or more of uneventful walking. Entering the harder variant of a level fills it with dozens of collectible lollipops, some making the player go through even some of least exciting areas more than once.
Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is a good (re)starting point for the famous detective's video game saga. The mysteries this time are a bit easier, but there are many more contents than usual thanks to the new open-world approach even if the new features would have used a little more development. All in all, the new direction of Sherlock Holmes is definitely the right one and we're eager to see where it will lead in the future.

Rustler manages to entertain by replicating the style of play of the first top-down GTAs, but turning everything to a medieval setting. Some elements of the gameplay could have been more refined, but the Jutsu Games title shows that this formula can still work and entertain even today.

Subnautica: Below Zero offers a more immediate, accessible and complete gaming experience compared to the first chapter of the saga, providing a more impactful and suitable title for those who do not like too dispersive survival games. To succeed in this, however, many aspects of the original title have been simplified, resulting in a less meaty and varied game. A different experience then, but worth the effort.

Taxi Chaos feels almost shameless in cloning Crazy Taxi's idea and it's lost some of the game's attitude (mainly due to a forgettable soundtrack) in the process, but it ultimately delivers an entertaining experience and a gameplay formula we've missed for a long time, with some nice additions like the city's verticality and the passengers side stories.

Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Director's Cut brings back an old school and very challenging platformer, improving it with a new hi-res presentation layer. Other than this it doesn't change or improve the original game, but it remains a suggested buy for all lovers of the saga and action-platformers in general.

SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete brings a change of pace from the original game, with more varied and unpredictably randomized challenges at the cost of the hand-crafted shooter-puzzle component of the first game. Levels are more repetitive, though, and difficulty feels unevenly balanced, resulting in a less satisfying experience.

With a further improved career, the cute Fanzone mode, a more believeable presentation and some much welcome finetuning here and there, F1 24 is once again the place to be for all Formula 1 fans who want to experience the thrills of the races on their home console or PC – newcomers and pros alike. Those who aren’t planning to immerse themselves in the revamped single player segment too much or aren’t that hardcore about the sport, may not find F1 24 to be an essential upgrade at all, with no new Braking Point chapter, no notable new game modes or features – with even a handful of brand new, rather annoying technical issues to be found. None of this, of course, negates the excellent gameplay loop the series has masterfully iterated upon for over a decade now, and I know in my heart that I’ll spend plenty of hours on this episode as well, long after I finish up this review. But unless you’re knee-deep into these games’ or the sports’ community, like I am, you can probably stick to F1 23 a while longer.
NeoSprint is a fun and well-made homage to racing games of old, with a fun and precise arcade driving model from a top-down view. There’s a vast selection of tracks, a solid editor to create and download new ones, various cars and plenty of customization, including several callbacks to other Atari classics, making this game worth the time for racing fans who aren’t afraid of playing something that winks to an era before 3D racers got popular. Lack of proper online multiplayer is a bummer, although leaderboards and downloadable ghosts are in the game. Ultimately, NeoSprint is a retro arcade bonanza that I can see myself coming back to for a while, especially if the community and developers keep the content and challenges coming.
It may not have the visual flair and marvelous shooting of Treyarch’s creations, on top of some annoying connection woes at launch – but since they seemingly abandoned the classic formula, Sker Ritual satisfyingly fills that classic Zombies-shaped hole in our hearts, proposing a fun game, already packed with content and quite cheap. Do we need much more? All in all, it’s a very promising start for Sker Ritual – I’m eager to see patches, balance changes, DLCs or even a sequel tackle the few shortcomings, because, underneath it all, it has all the elements that made us fall in love with the Zombies formula and then some. Bravo!
It aims to do a single thing, which is being a deep and addictive round-based bullet heaven shooter, with a ludicrous amount of items, weapons and upgrades that allow for quite literally infinite builds. It may lack the variety of Vampire Survivors, the production values of Soulstone Survivors and so on, but Brotato’s short-burst rushes of adrenaline make it one hell of a game anyway.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged is an extremely safe, but ultimately very fun sequel. The new story mode doesn’t change the formula, but the new game modes, the tons of content and customization on top of an improved core gameplay make this an exhilarating racer for young and old.
World of Solitaire is one of the best videogame versions on modern consoles of 5 famous solitaire games, and at an inviting price around 10 bucks, it's definitely worth playing for fans of the genre. A lot of cool features extend its longevity, but perhaps allowing more customization of the rules, more actual gameplay variety and some extra quality-of-life changes would have made it a truly unmissable experience for card fans.
