Divinity: Original Sin 2 is here! A highly-anticipated sequel that absolutely wrecked it's Kickstarter goals to deliver an unparalleled role playing experience that will have you calling in sick to work just to play it. It's just that good.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is an absolute joy of a game and any negatives are ultimately nitpicking because they don't lessen the experience substantially. If you play games for their narrative, this one should be on your must play list as it brings an immersive, interesting and engaging story filled to the brim with interesting and multilayered characters and locations. The game can take you anywhere from 40 to well over a 100 hours, depending on the difficulty and your style of play. Suffice it to say that a couple of years ago I didn't actually like isometric RPGs but games like these are reason enough to turn anyone into an unflinching fan.

9.1 / 10.0 - Nier: Automata
May 16, 2017

Nier: Automata is a big ball of a surprise that keeps on giving. I went into it with no expectations and found myself amazed with it. It is a really wild and beautiful game that shouldn't pass under anyone's radar. The fun gameplay coupled with the fantastic story and the soundtrack makes this a complete package and I'm hesitating to call it an action game cause that would be a disservice to the emotional impact it had on me. Embark on an epic and completely immersive personal journey with Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. A game that's about fighting your inner demons as much as it's about fighting real tangible ones. Certainly a unique experience, but is it worthy of your money and time?

8.3 / 10.0 - Synth Riders
Nov 2, 2019

Synth Riders isn't worse nor is it better than Beat Saber. It's its own VR rhythm beast that will appeal to a different kind of audience. If you can't resist some good retro-inspired, electro music and a Tron-esque neon aesthetic - this is definitely a game for you. You'll most certainly have plenty of fun and could even lose a pound or two in the process.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot finally brings what many fans have been asking for and takes the iconic franchise into new territory with a more open world and a ton of RPG mechanics. While this fan-service increase in power level definitely transforms the well-known story into a new form, it's still far from going Ultra Instinct.
