I enjoy most of the games that I review, but occasionally one takes me by surprise. This brilliant indie title’s success is down to a combination of factors. A wonderful story that reimagines long-forgotten titles, the detailed approach of the touching audio and the pace and lore of the core tale. I know this won’t be for everyone, but I recommend you take a gamble and buy it here! The world of New Theland has become corrupted and a microscopic plague is taking over. Can Nova save humanity and restore order before its too late?

The message that the downfall of mankind is its own greed wasn’t lost on me. However, I was so engrossed by the gameplay that I allowed this curse to infect me. It’s a glorious game that successfully blends a multitude of genres, and a game I strongly recommend. Buy your copy here, you won’t regret it! Choose your approach, select your weapons, and hope that the gods and luck are on your side.

I have purchased many DLC packs in the past and several have disappointed me. Happily, I can say that I wasn’t let down by Movers In Paradise. Though the concept hasn’t changed a lot, the addition of 3 main game mechanics makes this worth playing. If you love Moving Out, you won’t be disappointed with this, so buy it here! Grab your passport, jump on the boat and help the people of the Packmore island move house.

8 / 10.0 - Moving Out
Mar 2, 2021

Who’d have thought that furniture removal could be so enjoyable? Yes, there’s a lot of heavy lifting, you’re likely to lose friends, and you may finish with one less child, but you had fun on the way. Moving Out is a simple concept executed brilliantly, and I can’t help but recommend it. Download it on Gamepass or buy it here! Go from job to job with your team of movers. Remove everything without destroying the house, unless of course your secret objectives ask you to! Complete the tasks, gain all the medals, and become the best movers in town.

8 / 10.0 - Heaven Dust
Mar 5, 2021

It’s a brave move trying to stand out in the zombie market. With so many games and clichés, it’s easy to make a bland and mediocre title, but that definitely isn’t the case here. Heaven Dust is a brilliant game that epitomises everything that is great about the genre and I recommend you buy it here! Can you survive this viral outbreak and make it through the mansion? Search for clues, find items and kill zombies while solving every puzzle you encounter.

I’m never going to consider myself a monster truck fan, yet I really enjoyed my time with this. I can see why gamers love the genre, and how they easily get addicted to each game. Other than its lame audio and OTT rumbling, I believe Monster Truck Championship offers a better and more rounded experience than Monster Jam Steel Titans 2, and I recommend buying it here! Start your career, choose your team members and race, smash and destroy everything in your path.

8 / 10.0 - Sanity of Morris
Mar 20, 2021

I like the work that this development team produces. I was taken back by both the theme and style of their latest game, but what they have released is of a very high quality. It will test your logical thinking, reasoning, and constitution. You need this in your life, so buy it here! Can you help John follow in his father’s footsteps? Can you do what Hank failed to achieve? Travel to Greenlake and see how you get on.

Space Otter Charlie is a title that gets under your skin. Once you play, you will want to keep going until you’ve explored every station and rescued each of his friends. With witty otter based puns, excellent audio and well designed visuals, this is a game that will make you smile from ear to ear. It’s family-friendly approach is a bonus, and I recommend you buy it here! Mankind has ruined the Earth for themselves and for every living being. We can run away and find another planet, but the fate of those left behind lies on the shoulders of one heroic otter. Can you find the animals a new place to live? Will you survive the many bizarre ordeals you’ll face? Grab your space suit, jump in your rocket and let the adventure begin.

Fobia - St. Dinfna Hotel is a creepy horror title that occasionally lacks direction. Furthermore, it moves away from combat and relies more on quests, puzzles, and exploration. On top of this, it has an excellent story and a protagonist that you can empathise with. I loved its nod to Resident Evil and its many unique elements.

PowerWash Simulator is a fantastic and oddly satisfying real-to-life title. With many areas to clean, plenty of cash to earn, and new equipment to buy, you are spoilt for choice. Sadly, though, the action is a little repetitive and some minor tweaks will resolve this problem.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a wonderful RPG. A spiritual successor to Suikoden, that will capture your imagination immediately. I loved the plot, the characters, and the modern aesthetics. Sadly, it isn't as original as Suikoden, but it is still worthy of your time.
