Passionate about technology, music, video games, cinema and sports, I graduated in communication. Since 2014, I have had the opportunity to write for many sites such as Game-Focus, the Legendary Sword and even today at Geeks and Com '. I have also hosted several shows on the web, whether podcasts and live broadcasts, particularly on Gaming Live, the former Jeuxvideo.com Web-TV. I continue to explore my passion for video by having a YouTube channel known as HypnoticMarc.

4.5 / 10.0 - Shredders
Apr 6, 2022

There is not much to say about Shredders, which is not a satisfying experience. The art direction is already aging when the game is released, the animations are not very good, the missions are only sequences of courses via teleportations and the cinematics of the scenario seem to be present only to extend the life of the title. Making a successful sports and simulation game is not an easy task and I have the impression that for the first project of the FoamPunch studio it was perhaps too ambitious. If you want to make up your mind, I strongly advise you to go through an Xbox Game Pass subscription rather than paying forty dollars.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum unfortunately doesn't live up to the expectations placed in it and announced. It felt like a game that hadn't yet found its feet. The basics are in place, but you quickly get the feeling that you're doing the same thing over and over again, and moving forward without much interest. Yet the universe and the environment created around it allow you to immerse yourself in the world of J.R.R Tolkien. The technical problems, however, break this immersion, which fails to make up for the other problems. I wouldn't recommend Gollum in its current state, and I hope the developers manage to improve it. Otherwise, the title will be quickly forgotten by gamers.

There is not much to say about Prison Tycoon Under New Management. The title developed by the team at Abylight Studios offers a management experience similar to what is already on the market. While prisoner rehabilitation is an excellent feature, it doesn't seem to be taken to its fullest extent. I wish the developers would have fully embraced their ideas to the fullest. The construction of our prison is also limited while the art direction is already aging. The game unfortunately doesn't reach its goal of being better than the franchise it is based on.

Dinosaur Fossil Hunter had a huge playground at its disposal, but the developers at Pyramid Games studio seem to have run out of steam. While the basic gameplay is not totally bad and could be improved via future updates, the functionality to skip some of the important steps of playing a paleontologist and completely counterintuitive for a simulation game. In addition, the technical problems, performance and art direction that offer only the minimum of visual effects prevent the title from standing out in the market. Despite being marketed at a low price, we find ourselves doing the same thing over and over again without any novelty after only a few hours of play. The experience is far from being up to par and what we could expect after a rather successful demo several months ago. Let's hope that the development team fixes the technical issues quickly to try not to end up like the dinosaurs.

5.5 / 10.0 - Apex Legends
Apr 25, 2021

Apex Legends on Switch is one of the least successfull port of Panic Button Games. The studio had to do a lot of sacrifices to bring this free battle royal to the platform. The many technical issues and the fact that you can't transfer your save from another console, makes it tough to justify jumping on this version.

Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator is a realistic simulation of the life of a cab driver. You can explore a marvellous model of the city of Barcelona. Unfortunately, the experience is not without its problems. Handling requires a number of adjustments in order to be enjoyable, while the artificial intelligence creates a real sense of frustration. Missions also remain, for the moment, rather repetitive and offer very little variety. Perhaps I'd advise you to wait for future updates before embarking on your new career.

6 / 10.0 - Skull and Bones
Feb 20, 2024

Clearly, Skull and Bones has suffered from years of development and numerous changes of direction. The handling of the ships is well done, but everything around them is much less so. The in-game phases are very repetitive, and boarding and pillaging are nothing more than identical cinematics. The very principle of the experience is to go back and forth until you reach the end of the main campaign. Not to mention that the technology is not worthy of a game marketed in 2024 at this price.

Electrician Simulator offers a rather interesting concept for learning the real techniques used by electricians. The object repair missions are also a good way of learning more about the workings of our surroundings. Unfortunately, the gameplay loop is very repetitive and the variation in missions is rather weak. After just a few hours of play, I quickly got the impression that I'd come full circle, and that I'd be revisiting the same objectives over and over again, with a few variations. The basis of the title is there, but in my opinion, more content needs to be added to keep the player going. For the time being, I'd recommend this experience above all to fans of the genre.

6 / 10.0 - Redfall
May 10, 2023

6 / 10.0 - Bus Simulator 21
Sep 29, 2021

I was still disappointed with this Bus Simulator 21 despite the addition of several new features and a diverse open world environment. The most important in this type of game is the driving, which unfortunately is not well reproduced without forgetting the many technical problems.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends dissapoints for a few reasons including the fact that players are not encouraged to take a stealth approach. Futhermore, the technical problems and the fact that you can't launch a game with a partner controled by the AI really hurts the experience. Let's hope that the additional content will be a bit more diversified.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League isn't as catastrophic as first expected. The gameplay is fun, there's plenty of humor in keeping with the personalities of the playable characters, and the visuals are just right. However, we can't overlook the repetitive experience, the almost anecdotal evolution tree, the inconsistencies in the storyline and the unacceptable launch of a game and its microtransactions. I recommend the game to those who have the chance to get together with friends and are big fans of the DC Comics franchises. Otherwise, it's best to wait for a discount before checking out.

NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS was to be the perfect opus for all fans of the franchise, and even for new players wishing to discover this universe. The basic premise is interesting, with spectacular battles, a large character roster and accessible gameplay. Unfortunately, the story mode aims to summarize the franchise too quickly, and leaves out several key battles. What's more, the new Boruto storyline is rather weak overall. Not to mention the visual quality, which doesn't meet today's high standards. I'd mainly recommend this title to players who are already familiar with CyberConnect2's other opuses and who will enjoy online battles.

6.5 / 10.0 - Highrise City
Oct 14, 2023

Highrise City is the culmination of an almost entirely solo project. The title makes a real attempt to distance itself from the other experiences available on the market. It offers an honest management aspect as well as a fairly advanced resource system. Nevertheless, the game fails to achieve the same overall quality in terms of interface, soundtrack and even visual proposition. There are still a few elements that need fine-tuning.

6.5 / 10.0 - Paleo Pines
Oct 6, 2023

The idea behind Paleo Pines is interesting enough, and offers a little variety for the genre. However, the execution behind this idea still seems to lack polish. The title's content is rather weak. I would have liked to have been able to decorate my house and have more objects to place on my plot. The artistic direction of its content lacks punch at times and is a little too uniform. Fortunately, the way in which the dinosaurs are adopted makes up for the shortcomings a little, but I'd mainly recommend the game to regulars of the genre who are keen to discover a new adventure. For neophytes, other experiences are far superior to Paleo Pines.

6.5 / 10.0 - Evil Dead: The Game
May 25, 2022

Evil Dead: The Game offers a mixture of nostalgia and disappointment for fans of the franchise. On the one hand, there are countless references to the original films and the series, with highly recognizable settings, the voices of the actors from the series and an art direction that follows the same codes. On the other hand, we have a title that looks very similar to other games on the market, a progression system that is practically useless, a horrific atmosphere that disappears quickly, an obligation to play with friends to really enjoy the game and a mandatory internet connection even for solo missions. So, unfortunately, I can't recommend the title, unless you are a VERY big fan of the license and have several friends to play with. Fortunately, the title offers a shared progression system between platforms, but also cross-play. Hopefully, you won't go around in circles too soon!

6.5 / 10.0 - Madden NFL 22
Sep 7, 2021

Madden NFL 22 disappoints on several levels whether it is for its gameplay which offers virtually no change since last year or even in its visual aspect which is not worthy of the new generation. Not to mention that the Face of the Franchise mode offers no real interest in low impact dialogue and poor quality cutscenes. If you already have last year's edition, this edition is clearly not necessary!

United Penguin Kingdom offers an alternative to the usual management games, notably with its colorful, out-of-the-ordinary art direction. The basis for an adventure of this kind is well established, and the developers have also added a few interesting ideas to stand out from the crowd. Nevertheless, the title is a little slow to get going, and its interface is not necessarily accessible to less experienced players.

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game offers a similar experience to its predecessors, without offering anything identical. In fact, by taking the player a little more by the hand, the title is without doubt the most accessible in the series. Not to mention that the team at Saber Interactive have done a near-perfect job on the technical front. There are currently around 100 hours of content, and plenty of DLC is also planned to add missions. However, the title may not appeal to older players who lose a certain sense of freedom. Not to mention that the overall experience remains very similar.

Wild Card Football's arcade experience succeeds in its main aim: to be above all a fun experience. We enjoy creating our own team, customizing it and using our powers to overcome any opponent. Nevertheless, matches quickly become repetitive, and the only interest is to play online. Frustration can set in if your opponent takes a malicious pleasure in waiting until the end of the countdown. Perhaps I'd have liked even shorter quarters, and why not cut the game in half? Technical problems also seem to greatly hamper the game on certain platforms.
