‎Magical worlds, beautiful creatures, medieval universes, struggles for survival... The fantasy genre has left us great stories, those that transport us to unthinkable scenarios in our reality and adventures that we could never star. But that's what video games are for, isn't it? Precisely, Greak: Memories of Azur fulfills an essential function, not only because it serves as an escape valve to existential reality, but also because it is one of those driving forces that allows to rectify ‎‎unsatisfactory reality and realize unfinished desires,‎‎in this case, through a proposal based on the cooperation of its protagonists.‎

From Cyber Connect 2 they intend to make the player reflect on many aspects, directly hitting the morality of each person. Not only does it try to get us into the skin of the different members that make up the work, but it also puts us in the position of doubting if in our day to day we are doing the right thing. When we make the decision we think is the right one, we move forward with our idea blinded to the end, without listening to the advice of those around us. And perhaps, this means that we realize the error when it is too late. This is Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2.

82 / 100 - Tenebris Pictura
Sep 20, 2023

The particular setting of the game, inspired by the Victorian era and surrounded by a soundtrack so discreet that sometimes it seems to disappear, invites a lot to that slow and reflective way of seeing them coming that it proposes to us. The fact that you have to advance a lot to find the truly complicated challenges also tells us about the patience that such a title requires, but everything along the way is so balanced, so well studied and so satisfying when we finally find the right key, that the hours invested in it will not leave us with that mental exhaustion typical of other products of the same genre.

8 / 10.0 - Worms Rumble
Jun 29, 2021

‎Giving a drastic twist to the franchise, Worms Rumble offers us a concept that may not please the most staunch players who have been there since the beginning of it, but that gives ‎‎a breath of fresh air to the playable section‎‎ and that maintains many of the characteristics that made these worms famous. By singing goodbye to turn-based strategy, Team17's work adapts to the new times through an experience that offers action-based encounters and can only fall short due to the few game modes it treasures. Although, that's something that only time will tell.‎

8 / 10.0 - Onirike
Jul 3, 2021

‎Dreams are within everyone's reach, but not everyone achieves their dreams. Aiming to reach the Well of Realities, Onirike is a work that proposes us to start a path that leads us towards the achievement of a dream, a path relative to a decisive experience and full of personal trials where only the most obstinate and true to themselves can manage to complete the journey. And it is precisely in this journey where it becomes clear whether ‎‎the spirit of the dreamer is worthy of his dream before a new dawn,‎‎or, on the contrary, he is only a dreamer whose spirit does not yet have the necessary maturity to make it possible for a dream to materialize in the world of the tangible.‎

8 / 10.0 - Black Book
Aug 7, 2021

‎Every society creates stories, and there are some that are even broadcast in various countries. The question of how they arise, how they are perpetuated and transformed over several generations is something that has caused many headaches, but that does not mean that they do their bit. Although its mechanics are somewhat repetitive, Black Book bets against banking by hoarding a great value, in this case, the introduction of a mythology not so widespread by these boundaries. It may be a gigantic lie, but that does not invalidate its message, since it brings a lot of values that go beyond ‎‎the personification of darkness and shadow‎‎ that fills every corner and hole in the world.‎

Many melodies can present varied forms in terms of their harmony, while many other times they take advantage of other chord progressions present throughout it. With a somewhat more refined style that offers trickster melodies and emotional and moving lyrics, Grow: Song of the Evertree takes root in a human affective structure.

8 / 10.0 - Vagante
Jan 26, 2022

‎Between meadows and mountains, at the heart of the universe, insignificance reigns, existential emptiness, lack of values, deep dissatisfaction... On the edge of the most absolute abyss, without any direction or anchor that gives us security, Vagante invites us, in the old way, to face that piece in a loop that deals with ‎‎the destruction and reconstruction of things.‎‎ In this regard, slowing down its execution to get out of it, without additional iterations.‎

8 / 10.0 - Slipstream
Apr 6, 2022

‎Slipstream ‎‎encourages self-improvement by‎‎ reminding players of a very simple mantra: practice makes the master. And perhaps that is the greatest success of this game, beyond the monsters that terrify us so much, to understand what war really means. In understanding that, at a certain point, there is no longer a border between good and evil, but that everyone is part of evil and the true border is between those who can live with it and those who cannot.

Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg is an invitation to rescue the dreams we left behind, some of which are claiming a place in our adult lives to feel ourselves again. And it does so through a very minimalist and colorful proposal that seems taken from a story. A proposal that emphasizes relaxation without resorting to tension, to be able to walk at our own pace feeling our own feet.
