7 / 10.0 - Kirby Fighters 2

Wrapping things up, I’ve been having a lot of fun with Kirby Fighters 2 and there’s more to enjoy than not.

If you want to feel, really truly feel, like you’re flying a TIE Fighter or an X-Wing, Star Wars: Squadrons is a must. Even if you have zero interest in Star Wars, the feeling of being a starship pilot is exhilarating in and of itself.

8 / 10.0 - Amnesia: Rebirth
Oct 19, 2020

Amnesia: Rebirth is a fitting third entry to the Amnesia series that takes its unique lore and runs with it in a respectable way. If you’re looking for a creepy game to play in October that won’t overload you with jump scares, Amnesia: Rebirth is a worthwhile pick.

It’s a clear improvement over Man of Medan in terms of story approach, and while many will say that Until Dawn reigns supreme, Little Hope isn’t too far off from Until Dawn. If anything, they’re pretty even in my mind. Different where they need to be, but both enjoyable as hell.

9 / 10.0 - Mad Father
Nov 6, 2020

As it stands, Mad Father remains one of the best RPG maker games ever made thanks to its fantastic writing, interesting characters, creepy setting, and enjoyable gameplay. The remake only adds to the things the original game got right, it never detracts from them.

8 / 10.0 - DiRT 5
Nov 9, 2020

I didn’t expect to fall in love with Dirt 5 as much as I did, and despite all the hours I’ve already put into the game, I don’t expect to stop playing anytime soon. Dirt 5 is lighthearted, simple, effective fun that’ll have you racing around again, and again, and again.

10 / 10.0 - The Medium

In the past, Bloober Team have created incredible psychological horror experiences with games like Layers of Fear, and The Medium feels like a natural progression in their development style.

10 / 10.0 - Before Your Eyes
Apr 6, 2021

And as simple as the idea of retelling someone’s life story is, there’s an incredible depth to Before Your Eyes and a relatability to it. You aren’t Ben, but you may have similar memories to Ben that help connect you to him.

8 / 10.0 - Cozy Grove
Apr 9, 2021

In summary, Cozy Grove is a great time to sink some time into. Its cheerful atmosphere will put a smile on your face, you’ll be able to make progress in the game at your own pace, and there are natural stopping points that remind you that it’s ok to take a break.

8 / 10.0 - Idol Manager
Jul 27, 2021

There really is a lot to this game in the way of management and strategy, and you can tell the developers put a lot of time and effort into making sure you always have something to do. Idol Manager has the potential to become the game you ignore other new releases for, and if that doesn’t speak volumes about how good the game is, I don’t know what will.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Artful Escape
Sep 9, 2021

Overall, The Artful Escape isn't a long journey, nor is it a short one. It’s the “just right” sort of journey that you really want to see with a game like this, and I very much enjoyed my time with it.

Even those just looking for some childhood nostalgia will enjoy Hot Wheels Unleashed and its similarities with older Hot Wheels games like Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver. Plus, you can drive cars with names like Street Wiener, Roller Toaster, Buns of Steel, and Tur-Bone Charged. What’s not to love?

Like Alan says… it’s not a lake; it’s an ocean. If you dive down and explore its deepest depths, you will be rewarded. For that reason, and so much more, I highly recommend checking out Alan Wake Remastered.

Overall, I enjoyed What Lies in the Multiverse and feel like most people will as well. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you about some of the game’s punishing puzzles, especially the timing-based platforming ones. If you have popsicle fingers like I do, I wish you the best of luck working your way through the game, because you’re going to need it.

9 / 10 - Dorfromantik
May 3, 2022

Essentially, no matter what you’re looking to get out of Dorfromantik, you should be able to find it thanks to the assorted game modes on offer. The approachability of its tile placement and point system mixed with relaxing visuals pull you in and invite you to kick up your feet and rest for a while.

Kao the Kangaroo succeeds in delivering a nostalgic platformer vibe with everything you’d expect from that mixed in, including coins and collectibles that encourage exploration, along with a bright, cheerful atmosphere. With some of these issues fixed, the bugs and glitches especially, I could easily see this game scoring closer to a 7 or 8. However, because of the number of bugs I encountered and how disruptive some of them were, I can’t in good conscience give this game anything higher than a 6, much as it pains me to do so.

9 / 10 - Neon White
Jun 27, 2022

If I had to sum it all up into a single sentence, I'd simply say that Neon White is truly one of the most enjoyable and original feeling platformers that I've seen in a while, and one that's well worth checking out.
