9 / 10.0 - Dwarf Fortress
Dec 5, 2022

While Dwarf Fortress, much like the Dwarves it features, may still be a bit rough around the edges, the asking price of $29.99 ultimately seems like a fair deal. It is a highly replayable experience filled with questionable Dwarven decisions and antics you’ll find yourself amused or bewildered by on a regular basis for many hours to come, and benefits from the expectation of support continuing long into the future, as it has many years before this Steam version release.

8.5 / 10.0 - Islanders
Jan 10, 2022

Islanders is a game you can play either in short bursts or hours at a time if the mood for a longer session strikes you. The entire product is a thoroughly enjoyable exercise in creation, the mechanics layered on top make the game a complete and compelling experience, while the core gameplay remains simple – and at £4.79, the hardest part is finding a reason to not own it already.

Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem distills the DNA of the series down into a series of long, brutally chaotic levels backed by an all-time peak of a soundtrack, and I’d recommend it entirely to both returning players wanting more and new players looking into the series for the first time, with the only downside being that there simply isn’t enough of it in a single playthrough. More of this please, Timelock.

7.4 / 10.0 - Maneater
Oct 5, 2021

Do I think Maneater is a good game? Yes. It’s great to kill a few hours with some fairly mindless fun. Though with that said, I do find it hard to justify the asking price on Steam of £33.99.

6.7 / 10.0 - Legion TD 2
Jan 12, 2022

All in all, Legion TD 2 is a reasonably enjoyable game that will appeal to RTS or TD fans, particularly those who enjoy team-based gameplay. However, it could have done much more to branch out from its origins to help justify the £15.49 price, rather than cling to Nostalgia as much as it does.

3.7 / 10.0 - Linked
Jan 11, 2022

If you’re looking for a quick puzzle game that’ll give you about an hour or so of gameplay, you could probably do worse for £0.79. Outside of being cheaply priced, however, Linked does little to recommend itself.
