5 / 10.0 - Foamstars
Feb 9, 2024

It is difficult to promote Foamstars: what was pitched as an innovative "party shooter" turned out to be a game as a service that has little new to offer. The online modes currently available are few and not always accessible, while the gameplay is so chaotic and cumbersome that two games are enough to instill the desire to put down the controller.

6.5 / 10.0 - Skull and Bones
Mar 20, 2024

Skull and Bones is not only not the "quadruple A" promised by Ubisoft, nor is it a game capable of bringing to life the pirate dream of all those who have ever dreamed of being able to command a black-flagged ship.

Super Crazy Rhythm Castle is a definitely original rhythm game: instead of choosing which songs to play from a song list, you will immerse yourself in a real music adventure, alone or together with a team of up to 4 players. Its strength is precisely in being able to come up with something innovative, but it is also its downfall.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is a well-crafted, but too shallow blend of genres. While the 3D combat is realistic and immersive, the strategic aspects of the title lack detail, making the campaign monotonous and leading the player to repeat the same actions almost mechanically. You will have hours of fun if you like to take part in first-person shoot-outs, otherwise you might get bored quickly. In any case, I recommend playing the title in the PC version and not on consoles.

7 / 10.0 - Serial Cleaners
Oct 25, 2022

Serial Cleaners tries to take a leap forward from its predecessor, but manages to barely make a dent: while the graphics and narrative are indeed improved, giving us a colourful and enjoyable 90s-tinged work, the gameplay still has shortcomings.

PC Building Simulator 2 is a legitimate sequel to the 2019 title, improving on the modes already present and adding elements that make the gameplay more enjoyable.

The team at THQ Nordic has managed not only to bring Alone in the Dark back to life, but to breathe so much new life into it that it has become a stand-alone work perfectly in keeping with the modern era and, at the same time, with a noir-like charm that only games of yesteryear had.

7.6 / 10.0 - Have a Nice Death
Mar 30, 2023

Have a Nice Death is a title with an extremely solid art compartment: the cartoon style will convince you from the first moment, while the jazz-tinged soundtrack will keep you company throughout the adventure. Although the combat mechanics are well thought out and allow the player to approach opponents in different ways, the roguelike element is lost a bit due to a wrong balance between skill and story progression at each run.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an accessible and well-packaged JRPG that is sure to delight fans of the series thanks to a well-thought-out combat system, a wide range of usable characters, and a curated art style. Despite this, its appeal definitely diminishes for all those unfamiliar with it.

Although Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is a bit more of the same as the first installment, Milestone still managed to package a solid, fun game that is perfectly capable of conveying the spirit of Hot Wheels.

Kazuma Mechagodzilla is back, and he's back more fierce than ever in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, a title that, while a spin-off of the main series, manages to fully deliver, offering a must-play experience for Yakuza fans.

8.5 / 10.0 - WarioWare: Move It!
Nov 1, 2023

WarioWare: Move It! continues the spin-off saga with the same exuberance and wackiness as the previous chapters, immersing us in more than 200 brand-new mini-games. If you are a fan of WarioWare you will surely enjoy this chapter as well, which takes full advantage of the Joy-Con motion control technology to bring absurd poses and situations to life.

90 / 100 - Tekken 8
Jan 23, 2024

Bandai Namco has succeeded in achieving its goal: Tekken 8 oozes next-gen from every pore (or rather, pixel). From the completely overhauled characters to the more cinematic settings than ever before, via the spectacular story footage, every frame has been taken care of to the finest detail, resulting in an impressive piece of work.
