4.6 / 5.0 - Oakenfold
Nov 25, 2022

Oakenfold is a fantastic game that is far more forgiving than your typical strategy game. Though the player is expected to learn to manage things such as tasks, moves, and enemy position, the game never rushes and instead encourages the player to experiment and play in a way that best suits them.

0.8 / 5.0 - Succubus With Guns
Nov 29, 2022

Succubus With Guns has a solid concept for what could be a really fun game, but because it uses too many premade assets, the unique ideas of the game never get a chance to truly shine.

3 / 5.0 - Saint Kotar
Dec 22, 2022

Saint Kotar: The Crawling Man, is a fine entry into the cosmic horror genre, but if you came looking for a full video game, you are sadly going to be disappointed as Saint Kotar: The Crawling Man is just a short interactive comic. While its atmosphere and art style are both impressive, it is far too short and leaves you wanting for more.

4.2 / 5.0 - Scrap Riders
Jan 14, 2023

Scrap Riders is a fun beat 'em up that is made with a lot of love and nostalgia for game of the past. While it doesn't do anything revolutionary, its gameplay is incredibly fun and solid and with its self-aware humor, you will definitely have a great time playing it.

3.7 / 5.0 - Clunky Hero
Feb 8, 2023

Clunky Hero is a fun little metroidvania that takes jabs at one of the most overdone character stories and gives an experience full of charm and humor. However, the game does have a hitbox issue that makes the combat feel clunky and rigid and many of the jokes come across as juvenile and unfunny.

3.9 / 5.0 - Inkulinati
Feb 19, 2023

Inkulinati is a fantastic 2D turn-based strategy game that is both quite complex and incredibly engaging. The game has a unique art-style that emulates the ink drawings seen within the old manuscripts that give it plenty of charm. The game is in Early-Access and does lack content in its story campaign but it still has plenty of content.

4.2 / 5.0 - The Pale Beyond
Feb 25, 2023

The Pale Beyond is a game definitely worth checking out. Its writing does justice to the tragic story of the events on which its story is based and features characters that feel unique and are incredibly fleshed out, though your objective isn't always clear. Its story and music will have you enthralled.

4.7 / 5.0 - Have a Nice Death
Mar 16, 2023

Have a Nice Death is a fast-paced 2D roguelike that will always see you coming back for more and more. The game features a cast of fun, silly characters that parody the various types of office workers. Though the game deals with themes of death and overworking the game never feels morbid with its light-hearted humor and goofy soundtrack. Have a Nice Death is a fun game that fans of games such as Hades and Hollow Knight will greatly appreciate.

72 / 100 - BLACKTAIL
Mar 22, 2023

BLACKTAIL feels like an interactive folk story; with the use of Slavic myths as well as its own original ideas, the storytelling and immersion are truly excellent. Despite all the praise, combat is a huge drawback and does bring the story down quite a bit, but BLACKTAIL is truly like no other and gives an excellent twist to a classic folk story. BLACKTAIL is currently available on Steam.

Curse of the Sea Rats is a game that has that classic 2D animation charm, with its character design and voice acting, but the same cannot be said about the game’s gameplay which seems to not be that fleshed out and is too heavily built around its co-op. If you want to experience the game at its best, play it with a friend or younger sibling, otherwise, you won’t have the most enjoyable experience.

60 / 100 - Ravenbound
Apr 5, 2023

Ravenbound is a highly ambiguous game that fully allows players to explore its vast ever-changing landscape. Despite its ambition, the game lacks refinement and makes the game feel underbaked and not fully developed. The game has had a lot of passion put into it. This is incredibly evident in the game's soundtrack, which is tribal and ambient and takes heavy inspiration from traditional Slavic folk music, the layered vocalizations and echoing drums just entirely immerse you into the world of Ravenbound.

75 / 100 - Life of Delta
Apr 9, 2023

Life of Delta is a short and simple puzzle game but it is one fantastic experience. The game is packed with charming characters that feel unique from each other and lets you experience a story that is heartwarming and impactful, wrapped up neatly into a five hour long package. While this was most likely done to stop the game from dragging on, this does, however, leave you wanting more.

89 / 100 - Deceive Inc.
Apr 17, 2023

Deceive Inc. is a joy of a game to play and is definitely something that will keep you coming back for more and more. While it does subvert from the typical FPS formula of bust in guns blazing. Deceive Inc. is a game that makes you think about your actions and what you do and forces players to think creatively but still not get caught. This game is definitely not for someone who was looking for a simple Overwatch clone, but it is for someone who wants something different and definitely something cheesy.

4.7 / 5.0 - Strayed Lights
Apr 25, 2023

Strayed Lights is a truly beautiful game. While its visuals and audio design are incredibly vibrant and breathtaking, the true beauty of it shines through with how the game uses both. As for the combat, despite it being far more forgiving than other games in the genre, it still provides you with enough of a challenge to keep you engaged and keep coming back for more.

3 / 5.0 - Gun Jam
Apr 25, 2023

GUN JAM is an excellent game, in theory. Due to the lack of any real story and issues with its only real stand-out feature, it’s hard to recommend GUN JAM to anyone who is a fan of rhythm shooters, as the game feels under-baked and not fully fleshed out.

4.1 / 5.0 - Zoeti
May 3, 2023

Zoeti is a fun yet simple deck-building game that incorporates both RPG and roguelite mechanics into its gameplay. Sadly due to how these elements conflict with one another, you cannot completely appreciate both. That’s not to mean the game isn’t worth your time, and you should definitely check it out, especially if you want a deck builder that doesn’t faff around and keeps things simple yet enjoyable.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox is one game that, unlike its peers in the Lovecraftian horror genre, doesn’t rely on doom and gloom and instead provides you with a visual feast for the eyes. The game has incredibly simple yet flexible combat that gets brought down by its control mapping, which may get you eaten once or twice.

3.2 / 5.0 - Stray Blade
May 5, 2023

Stray Blade is a game packed with lore and characters that are both fun and memorable. What original mechanics and design choices the game has failed to shine bright enough as it seems to be too occupied with trying to follow a formula rather than figuring out what will make it shine above the rest.

Liva’s Story DLC is a seamless addition to the already incredible narrative of Gerda: A Flame in Winter. While it doesn’t change much or add anything revolutionary to the game or its narrative, it doesn’t need to and merely just adds a bit more context to the main game’s story. If you are a fan of narrative-heavy games or just a fan of Gerda: A Flame in Winter, then Liva’s Story is an excellent addition to the game, one that you will greatly appreciate.

Miasma Chronicles is truly like no other and is not comparable to anything else in its genre. Miasma Chronicles is definitely worth your time, and you should definitely give the game a try.
