Figment 2: Creed Valley is not just a game; it’s an experience. From the captivating story to the music that touched our hearts. It was an absolute joy to play and experience, and many others should as well. It touches on real-life subjects but also guides us through them. Sometimes a change of perspective is all we need to see the world from a different view. Figment 2: Creed Valley is currently only available on Steam, and we can’t recommend this game enough.

3.2 / 5.0 - Not For Broadcast
Mar 31, 2023

Not For Broadcast does have its fun moments, you don’t get enough time to appreciate them, and the game ends up feeling more like a chore to play. However, the Not For Broadcast: Live & Spooky DLC throws away the dull and monotonous gameplay and replaces it with over-the-top spooky gags that actually make the game fun, even for a short while.

4.2 / 5.0 - OTXO
Apr 21, 2023

OTXO gives you a sense of wanting to meet the next stage with more vigor like in the old-pixel games. Once cleared, you feel sort of proud as the levels are tough and get tougher as they progress. So give it a go and see how far you can take your run and improve your run times and scores at the end of each attempt, edging closer to victory with better results.

Even though Labyrinth of Zangetsu doesn’t have any voice acting or over the top sound effects, the traditional instrumental music makes up for that and more. The music in Labyrinth of Zangetsu plays a big part in the atmosphere and immersion of the gameplay, with several shifts in mood and tone indicated by the music as well. Though a bit more work on sound effects would help this game stand out.

5 / 5.0 - Showgunners
May 3, 2023

Showgunners is showing massive potential to shake things up in the turn-based strategy genre while maintaining a great story to keep you coming back. You’ll be made to think on your toes and sometimes outside the box, though this is also what makes it such a great game. The voice acting, visuals and general challenges in Showgunners pull it all together for a game that can appeal to everybody, making it well worth the time.

4.7 / 5.0 - Liberté
May 24, 2023

Liberté is a complex yet excellent fusion of multiple genres and incorporates, The French Revolution, H.P. Lovecraft, Roguelite, Deck Building, and Top-Down strategy into its design. This strange mishmash is what gives the game such allure and keeps players coming back for more. The game is very mechanic-heavy and can take some time to get used to, but once you get the hang of everything, you will get to experience a game like no other.

4.2 / 5.0 - Friends vs Friends
May 30, 2023

With all this and probably more coming to Friends vs Friends, this game is one of a kind while taking on the basics of gun warfare as seen in online PvP games such as Fortnite or Valorant, minus the map size and loot boxes, while smoothly integrating deckbuilding aspects into the game. This game is a fantastically chaotic game to play with friends or solo that will keep you occupied for hours.

Ember Knights is a brilliant throwback to the old arcade games brought to the future with its interesting gameplay and world design. The co-op feature is a great bonus and just adds so much more to the game. It just keeps getting better and much more diverse in options with each new run, and it’ll definitely keep you coming back for more.

The voice actors managed to convey the emotions that their characters were feeling at that point in time. Whether it was anger, sadness, or even confusion, it was done well and added to the immersive feel. Overall, Lunacy: Saint Rhodes is a fun, immersive, first-person survival horror with a chilling yet compelling storyline that keeps you interested as you find out more about the horrors that befall the Rhodes Family.

Koa and The Five Pirates of Mara is an adorable game that is trying its hardest to pay homage to the old mascot platformers of the past, but sadly doesn’t get there and instead lands flat on its face. The game is definitely not for the hardcore platformer fan but is instead a great game to give to their younger sibling so that they can get a taste of the genre or develop a rage-quitting habit.

3 / 5.0 - Fae Farm
Sep 15, 2023

Fae Farm is a warm and cozy, somewhat grindy kind of game, with tons to do and hours to create your dream home and ideal farms. Although the game is really well polished in regards to the environments and gameplay, the game does just feel like a 3D Stardew Valley clone, as certain aspects of the game are incredibly similar to ConcernedApe’s iconic farming sim, both in terms of Stardew Valley’s mechanics and gameplay just dressed in a fae themed tutu.

Boti: Byteland Overclocked is a fun and really well-polished game featuring quite a few mechanics from other platforms of the past. Although the game has a few minor bugs, Purple Ray Studios is actively sending patches and updates for a smoother experience. The story is fun and gripping, with the voice acting of One, Zero, and Kernel keeping you entertained for hours, not to mention the amount of exploring you can do in your free time.

Savant – Ascent REMIX really is a game worth playing with killer music, awesome vibes, and challenges to keep you busy for hours. Savant – Ascent REMIX really is a nostalgic game that’ll remind people of old arcade games, and the retro designs just add another layer on top. With some really good music and a lot to destroy, this could be your next favorite too.

Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic is a fun game with some interesting concepts, mechanics, and environments with tons to do. Be creative and make your own maps and challenges for other players with your own find-and-seek games. You can also take on the campaign mode, explore, and hunt for hidden objects through some of the most iconic myths. Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic is definitely worth giving a shot and will hopefully get some attention on the quality-of-life side of things.

Counter-Strike 2 is the same game as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but with a new skin and some performance updates. There’s not much new about the game, with it basically getting an Overwatch spa day treatment. Hopefully, with the regular updates and patches, new content and gameplay will be added, allowing the game to reach new heights and opportunities and maybe some backstory instead of the basics of military first-person shooters. Run and gun is fun, but that’s all it is.

For The King II is a fun role-playing, strategy, turn-based adventure game with tons to do, from an epic main story to random dungeons and some side quests. The game is definitely worth giving a shot, although if you have not played the first game, it’s not a train smash as there is a detailed recap, but it is recommended to play the first game.

Super Crazy Rhythm Castle is a fun rhythm game with solid challenges and epic music to keep you wanting more, though it should come with the warning that the songs will get stuck in your head. This is because they are fun and really well composed; this goes alongside the characters and world-building, which keeps the fun going through exploration and the experience in general.

4.2 / 5.0 - The Universim
Jan 24, 2024

The Universim does have a bug or two; however, the developers are very well aware of them and are actively working to fix and patch any bugs that come their way, with the latest patch titled the Day 1 Stability patch. The game is built with a clear passion and determination to create an experience in the way of the creation myth and is definitely worth giving a shot. Build a utopia with harmony between nature and nuggets, or rush through with a wrathful touch; the power of life and creation is literally in your hands in this simulation.
