Lost and Found Agency Collector’s Edition has all the hallmarks of a good hidden object game: gameplay, artwork, soundtrack, no timer, and hints galore. However, it was not smooth sailing for me, and this is why I can’t recommend it. On the other hand, it has plenty of satisfied players out there.

Games Advent Calendar – 25 Days – 25 Surprises takes the very traditional idea of the advent calendar and tries to do something unique and fun. It’s not a bad idea, but the execution leaves something to desire. Besides, even the idea is not particularly novel – for a few years, Google has been doing the same with the Santa tracker. The idea is the same – we have games around Santa’s Village, which can be played throughout December, culminating with tracking Santa Clause “live” on the 24th of December while he races around the globe to deliver presents. Still, if you can’t wait until December and are in the mood for some simple fun, you can try Games Advent Calendar. I recommend waiting for a sale. Though the price is a bit too much for what the game offers.

While Meowing Point is not a bad game, it doesn’t yet feel good either. It needs a lot more polishing and content. The idea behind the game is excellent; dragging a fully 3D-rendered picture around to change the perspective and unravel hidden nooks within it is very clever. Look at the trailer on the Steam page. If you like the style, you might enjoy the game as well. For me, though, Meowing Point is a great idea, the execution of which needs a lot more work before I can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Mixed - Paraido
Nov 22, 2023

While I have nothing wrong to say about Paraido, there is also nothing groundbreaking about the game. It would’ve been nice to be able to skip any level, not just some. If you need a couple of minutes to unwind or destress and like puzzles, this one might be for you. It requires thinking and is far from mindless clicking to finish a level.

All in all, Sophia the Traveler is a solid entry in the hidden object genre. It has all the hallmarks of an excellent game. For me, the hint recharge time was a bit long. This, coupled with the vast scenes with more minor elements to find, such as bone or a backpack, made for an exhausting rather relaxing experience. But this game is for you if you like detailed hidden object scenes.

Jewel Legends: Tree of Life is a casual, cozy Match-3 game. With its colorful graphics, pleasant soundtrack, and smooth gameplay, it can quickly suck you in for a few minutes. Getting stuck is almost impossible, so there is no stress. As an added bonus, it’s a game you can play while doing something else.

Animated Jigsaw Puzzles is a classic-style jigsaw puzzles with a twist. Instead of a stationary picture, we get an animated one. You have to be a fan of the jigsaw genre. If you’re not all the little similar colored pieces can be a challenge. It’s a good game that can quickly suck you in for a few hours.

Purrfectly Hidden Cats: Kittenbay is another good cozy hidden object game that lets you escape for a few moments. With its humor and upbeat atmosphere, it is great fun, but it might overstay its welcome if you get stuck at 49 pink cats out of 50

Jan 14, 2024

Pixsaw is a good game, but if it had more variety in the gameplay, so, for example, options to change the color or maybe the option to toggle off the colored outline where a shape fits, it might’ve been more engaging. Pixsaw might be alright to play some levels here and there. I do wish all-size puzzles were unlocked at the beginning. Still, it’s a nice and colorful puzzle game that can help you pass the time if you like this type of puzzle.

Twistingo Hummingbird Haven Collector’s Edition is a nice mini-game collection that will entertain you for a few hours. While it doesn’t offer anything groundbreaking it still has all the ingredients to make it work. While I haven’t played the first game in the series, I did read Mina’s excellent review and it appears this game is quite similar if not identical to that game. If you enjoyed the first Twistingo, you might enjoy this one.

Galaxy Pass Station is an excellent little game with plenty of content and almost no learning curve to keep you entertained for a while. It reminds me pleasantly of another bureaucracy sim game, Papers, Please, without the heavy historical context. Overall, I can see myself spending a long time in Galaxy Pass Station.

Tower defence games aren’t my usual game genre, but ZaciSa: Defense of the Crayon Dimension! offered me an exciting glimpse into the topic. I don’t know if I will be back for more, but for real fans of this type of game, ZaCiSa might sink in some hours.

While I found Delusion difficult, even on the easiest difficulty, I will go back to it and tinker some more. It is a game that allows for multiple replays and solutions, which can add hours of gameplay.

While Brain Show does have some kinks, it is a good trivia game. If you have a group of friends and a couple of controllers around, Brain Show will be a fun game to pass the time. What’s more, it has a solid foundation, which, if developed further, can become an excellent trivia game.

While Big Adventure: Trip to Europe 4 is by no means a groundbreaking game, it does what it intends very well. It offers the player a few hours of relaxing, unhurried puzzle-solving while also offering some interesting tidbits about some of Europe’s best places.

I was excited for Annie and the AI, and in general, I think it is a very solid game with what it strove to do. That being said, I feel like it should be known that it touches on some very serious issues in the family and school, which might not be anyone’s idea of fun. However, if you are okay with those topics coming up in games and you like visual novels and AI, I think you’ll like this one.
