If you missed this game on the previous consoles, now is the perfect time to buy as it contains everything plus RTX and more importantly, it is a fantastic story that draws you in and drives you on. If you are a fan of The X-Files or similar genre shows, material… I have no doubt you will enjoy this.

Control's combat is repetitive, yet very enjoyable; the story is a mess, yet somehow manages to keep you want to learn more; the graphic engine needs plenty of work, yet the visuals are fantastic. Fascinating masterpiece and disappointing mediocrity, and almost at equal measures, Remedy Entertainment's bizarre piece of software isn't a solid recommendation, yet it remains a one of a kind experience.

Control Ultimate Edition is a great title, especially since the DLC adds more enemies and gameplay mechanics into the mix. If you rush, the complete bundle will take you about 18 hours to complete, but if you take your time and explore and complete side-quests, you'll take at least 25 hours, which is quite meaty for a game of this caliber. If you have yet to experience Control, Ultimate Edition is the best way to do so on the PC. The combat is tight, over the top, and satisfying. The premise is so good that you want to dive deeper, but it doesn't always come together. While it's a great game to play, Control could have been an even stronger experience, and that takes away some of its thunder.

Control: Ultimate Edition on the new generation of consoles is truly the best way to experience Remedy’s most recent title. The game looks and performs great whether you’re playing it with Ray-Tracing or at a smoother 60 frames-per-second. The massively reduced load times get you into this world faster than ever while things like the PlayStation 5’s 3D Audio, DualSense features, and activities help get you through and feel more immersed in said world. When you combine all of that with a lengthy base game and two great expansions you’ll see why Control was on so many Game of the Year lists in 2019.

Control was one of 2019's best games, with the only pervasive issue being that consoles couldn't always run the ambitious game so well. That's all changed.

Control is an amazing experience that is befitting of the next gen consoles. It has killer Ray Tracing features, unfortunately hampered by their implementation, and a rock solid performance mode which feels amazing. The truly twisted dystopian world of the FBC is one that will persist in player's memories for a long time with its strange otherworldly places, alongside its humanising story. Highly recommended to all PlayStation 5 owners looking for an action-adventure with some real depth and fun combat!

I had a blast playing through Control, I was a bad-ass woman with amazing supernatural powers. I found the theme utterly appealing and loved that the special abilities of Jesse were both used to progress within the story and defeat the enemies in various ways – which was pretty cool and exciting. Admittedly, the plot does take a while to pick up, however, everything made sense at the end, which is an accomplishment I’d say with how confusing the game started. Despite being almost constantly confused, I was invested in this game and felt determined enough into wanting to know what this game is about and why the strange things were happening.

Control Ultimate Edition is the definitive version of Remedy Entertainment's work. Along with the base game we were able to enjoy last year, we will have all the additional content, free and paid, expanding the adventure and connecting it with another of the company's most beloved titles, Alan Wake. If you haven't tried it yet, or you did but didn't enjoy the downloadable content, this is the perfect opportunity to do it in the best possible version.

Control Ultimate Edition on PS5 is the definitive console edition of the game so far. On top of the already fantastic story and mechanics, the addition of raytracing, and the exclusive DualSense support elevate it even further.

Despite being on a few platforms now, Control: Ultimate Edition on the PlayStation 5 is by far the definitive version of the game. The 60fps mode is super smooth, the 30fps mode has realistic ray tracing, and all modes fully support the DualSense controller, immersing you within the action and making you truly feel like you’re Jesse. Although not technically adding anything new over the base game (plus DLC via the Season Pass), it was a joy to play through the game once more, exploring the world Remedy Entertainment created and discovering the secrets hidden within the new DLC floors. Whether you’ve played it before or not, Control: Ultimate Edition is a game which everyone should play on the new-gen consoles, this fantastic experience has just got even better!

I loved it on PS4, and I love it even more now. With all of my technical issues removed, this is the ultimate way to play one of 2019's most exhilarating, and weirdest games.

The PlayStation 5 version of Control Ultimate Edition is one of the best, if not the best game available for the system so far. The game is finally available on a system with enough horsepower to handle its visuals, physics, and wacky gameplay. That, coupled with the near nonexistent loading times, multiple graphical presets, and small, but still welcome implementations of the DualSense’s features, makes this version the best and mandatory way to play Remedy’s masterpiece.

Control Ultimate Edition is a title that you absolutely must retrieve, if you have not had the opportunity to play it on old-gen consoles yet. One of the best productions, on an artistic, technical and narrative level, by Remedy Entertainment. It boasts a well-scripted plot, full of twists; a gameplay that can truly amaze, which offers the players multiple opportunities thanks to the combination of Jesse's different powers. If, on the other hand, you have already played the Xbox One or PS4 version, it is certainly worth giving it a thought, especially considering it being free in the February PS5 PlayStation Plus list, and the bargain price that practically amounts to the previous retail price of the DLCs alone.

Control Ultimate Edition on the PlayStation 5 is a great example of what the new generation of consoles is capable of when compared to the previous. Graphics and performance are noticeably improved and bring some justice to this adventure’s very fun gameplay. Although some fundamental problems persist, before us is a much more consistent experience which is hard not to recommend to any fan of action games.
