Never a huge fan of the episodic give you bits and pieces of the game over months and months is almost too excruciating. TellTale Games is just lucky that they do the source material proud. The wait is worth it, just not easy.

Episode one not only reintroduces us to the world of The Walking Dead, it raises the stakes in such a way that Clementine's situation is more perilous than ever. We weren't convinced that season two could eclipse season one, but at least in a few ways, it already has.

Season One was like tossing your soul into a thresher. If All That Remains is anything to go by, this second season will burn the very heart of you.

While perhaps lacking the impact of the end of Season 1, I can wholeheartedly recommend Season 2 to fans of the series. Perhaps more importantly, I recommend the game to anyone who enjoys a dramatic story – both gamers and non-gamers deserve to enjoy this shining example of interactive media.

While obviously there are still four more episodes to go and we're just playing the start of Clementine's journey, Episode 1 of The Walking Dead: Season Two gets the new season off to a thrilling start that proves the wait was well worth it.

Despite its flaws, The Walking Dead: season 2: Episode 1 is still an outstanding game. It still makes you feel for its characters in ways no other game on the market does. It's still one of the best examples of games as art our industry has to offer. In fact, this is perhaps the best piece of zombie fiction available right now. Yes, better than World War Z. Yes, better than Night of the Living Dead. If you are a fan of zombie fiction in general, you owe it to yourself to play this game.

We won't know for sure just how effective the set-up here was until the full season is complete sometime next year, but as it stands right now, we're totally on board.

All That Remains is short, roughly two hours long. Yet Telltale Games has done a good job in setting up future episodes by asking tantalizing questions about its plot and cast. Its decision to make Clementine the hero is a brilliant, depowering move that increases the tension from last season while still giving us a familiar, sympathetic face to root for. Although the supporting cast are currently mostly blank slates, the conflicts and relationships established in this episode promise bigger things to come. I'm eager to see where the story goes from here.

If you thought the second season of The Walking Dead was going to be more lighthearted, then prepare to be disappointed. All That Remains sees a more mature Clementine battling to survive by herself. As first episodes go, this one definitely gets the job done. The hard part is waiting for the second episode.

It's great, yes, but it doesn't fire in the same way that the latter portions of the first season did.

As young as she is, Clementine has grown to be a very complex character who is definitely the product of the people who have taken care of her. But she's no longer the scared girl in the treehouse. She's a survivor. And we can't wait to see where the next four episodes take her.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 1: All That Remains is a great return of the popular series. Clementine is a good protagonist and players are certainly going to root for her after the events from this first chapter. There are still some problems in terms of gameplay or visuals, but the narrative experience is second to none.

The first episode of The Walking Dead Season 2 shows that this Season will keep up the quality of Season 1, at the end of the episode there will be a preview for Episode 2 and there is a massive cliffhanger that will cause much discussion by fans of the series. To sum it up, solid episode and I can't wait for Episode 2.
