art of rally Reviews
Like a playable poster for an iconic rally event, funselektor's top-down racer is a blast.
Rally driving, for me anyway, is about plowing headlong into the unknown, understanding the risk of fast driving in a way you can’t on an oval or a well-known circuit. That makes taking a square left perfectly, or drifting through the full 180 degrees of a switchback, seem even more high-five-myself awesome. And I got exactly that in Art of Rally. If that’s the experience you want, too, Art of Rally will serve it as much as it will an escape from the present day, for a delightful joyride through a beautiful countryside.
From its incredible soundtrack to its unbelievably fun gameplay and striking visuals, art of rally is a genuine contender for 2020's best racer.
If you fancied art of rally Switch and cannot enjoy it on a PC, you should wait a wee while to see what happens in terms of patch.
Art of Rally is that rarest of things: the video game as essay.
Don't trust art of rally. Even if it looks like a cute, tiny, aesthetic arcade racing game, it is actually a love tribute to the history of rally, from a rally lover to rally lovers all over the world. Underneath his neat visual style and his top-down visuals lies a great rally sim, stripped of every needless detail and still playable by any kind of gamer thanks to a vast array of camera and difficulty options.

Despite its obvious visual shortcomings art of rally is still a nice looking game regardless; the gameplay, of course, shines through brightest, making this one of the most authentic, challenging rally titles in some time. The incredible music makes the price of admission worth it alone, and if you’re after a surprisingly nuanced, deep rally game, this is the one to go for.
Art of Rally excels at providing a stylized rally experience that strikes a decent balance of being both realistic yet approachable. It features a good variety of cars and landscapes, all wrapped in a clean low-poly art style. While it does have some graphical limitations, this is still a fun racer that's definitely worth looking at for off-roading fans.
Art of Rally is an unbridled joy, its Career Mode and free roam options, in particular, providing hours of rally driving nirvana in an appealing package that celebrates a glorious, golden era of off-road motorsport.
art of rally is an excellent homage to the golden era of rallying. With a huge number of cutely recreated cars and expansive stages to use them in, the main career mode is an absolute treat. The driving itself is very well-tuned, helping the player get this feeling of flow when everything's going right. There may be slender options outside of the main career and a few issues with pop-in, but they barely affect this magical driving experience.
Art of Rally is a racing game for those who want something different. The more playful nature is a nice contrast to the title's simulation-style handling and physics. There are plenty of cars, liveries, and tracks to unlock, and the online play keeps things fresh thanks to the system of weekly and daily challenges. Unless you only want serious racing games, genre fans will love Art of Rally.
Art of Rally is one of the most unique rally games ever made, and it’s all the better for it. It defies your expectations by being a pretty serious game at its heart, despite being fun and light-hearted on its exterior. And yet while it is challenging, it’s also relaxing at times, with its mix of minimalistic visuals, disarming music and lower-stress rally action almost putting you into a trance when everything aligns. Whether you’re a fan of rallying or just like racing games in general, Art of Rally deserves your attention.
Other than that, there's no doubt, the PS5 version of art of rally only makes the game more enjoyable. There's not much you'll be getting in terms of graphics, especially since the low-poly system that it uses, but the aforementioned mix makes it an enjoyable way to get a taste of historical racing.
When you figure out what your style of play and preferred level of challenge is, art of rally is a beautiful marriage of sim and arcade. This is a game that continually showcases its name through its visuals and easy-to-grasp controls. It’s simple, yet elegant. It’s complex, but intuitive. It’s satisfying, and rewarding. art of rally is transcendent.
I'm amazed to see such a humble-looking indie title with such deep and complex driving. art of rally is one of the most remarkable racing games that I have been able to play this year without a doubt.

Pardon the cliché, but Art of Rally is exactly that. It’s art. Not only is it one hell of an entertaining racing game, but it’s also a visual delight, a musical masterpiece, and a love letter to cars and racing in general. The developers took inspiration from lots of different gaming and non-gaming sources in order to create something unique and truly memorable.
art of rally exactly knows what it wants to be and reaches every finish line with ease. It's simple yet sophisticated. And certainly, it's not a rally game like any other.
