Pikmin 3 Deluxe is a complete game you tend to get from Nintendo. The graphics got a good brush-up and the controls are adjusted. However, there are still some small issues the game works smoothly. Next to that, the game has some new missions and you can play the entire game in a worthy split-screen co-op. This is a must-buy for every Switch owner, just because of the great co-op mode.

Although Nintendo didn’t choose to remaster Pikmin 3 for this rerelease, Pikmin 3 Deluxe is the same enjoyable experience with a couple of shrewd additions that add to its value. Worth a look if you’re a fan of the series, a fan of puzzle games in general, or just looking for a nice, relaxing co-op game.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe's main strength is the incredible quality of the original game, though the lack of many additional features makes the "deluxe" ring a little hollow.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe brings this Wii U game back to Switch, and enhances some of its aspects. Pikmin 3 was a good game to begin with, and porting it to a new system was an amazing choice.

Pikmin returns after seven years and is still as beautiful as it was in 2013, for better or worse.

Pikmin 3 was already a delightful and charming adventure on Wii U, and it has only gotten better with the jump to the Nintendo Switch. It was a pleasure to revisit this polished and relaxing experience, especially considering the several adjustments made to improve quality-of-life and to make it more gratifying to both newcomers and veterans. Couple that with a sizable dose of side content, Pikmin 3 Deluxe is an excellent addition to the Switch's expanding library and it's probably the Wii U port most deserving of the subtitle "Deluxe" since Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

The deceptively idyllic and wonderfully bustling microcosm of PNF-404 also impresses on the Nintendo Switch - just like the intelligently designed strategy adventure behind it. But now it's time for Pikmin 4!

Pikmin fans will love the new features, though understandably it may not be worth the price of admission a second time for some. Newcomers should definitely give this series a try as it truly deserves more respect than it has been given in the past.

Whether Deluxe edition does quite enough to tempt back previous players, with no visual upgrades to speak of and how good those side stories actually are, is another matter entirely. If nothing else, it’s a fantastic excuse to play a great game, but when you look at how much effort seems to be going into the Super Mario 3D World Switch port next year, you do wonder if Nintendo could have perhaps offered players just a little bit more to dive back in.

An all-around solid package well worth rescuing from the Wii U's obscurity, Pikmin 3 Deluxe's only real problem is that it's a more replay-focused game than it seems on first blush.

I’m really enjoying the experience so far. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is absolutely addicting, and it’s just a super fun game overall. I can’t believe it took me almost twenty years to discover it. There are so many ways to work on strategy, timing, and the incredibly satisfying puzzle-solving, and to top it all off are these cute little Pikmin creatures. I’m really looking forward to playing the other installments in the franchise.

Because this Deluxe edition is a slightly improved version of a game that was already outstanding, and I think it is undeniable that beyond the port not bringing great news, Pikmin 3 Deluxe is a great opportunity for all those who never had a WiiU of enjoy one of the great titles of that great forgotten. In addition to being, of course, the same good, beautiful, friendly and pleasant experience that it was already in 2013. And at a time when we are so lacking in good things, what more could we ask for.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe is a different but beautiful strategy game outside of the genre you are used to. It's an experience that should definitely be tried by Switch owners.

It’s Pikmin 3, a pretty great game from 2013 with pretty minimal additions, but that won’t matter as it’s now on a system that a lot of people actually own.

With new content, improved graphics and refined gameplay, Pikmin 3 Deluxe is indeed a deluxe version of the original game. After all, it is one of the most beautiful titles on the Switch, even though the visual improvements are not so noticeable. Cooperative multiplayer is an excellent reason for veteran players to visit PNF-404 on remastering, but the lack of online resources shows that Nintendo still needs to evolve a lot to enhance its subscription service.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe is still one of the most charming games in the Nintendo world, but as a re-release it is by far one of the most unimaginative and loveless projects that has been seen on the Switch so far. If you don't have the title yet, get it. But if you already know Pikmin 3, you should think twice about investing in the deluxe-version.

It seems like forever since we had a big Nintendo Switch exclusive and while Pikmin 3 Deluxe may not be a true exclusive, this port certainly has enough bells and whistles to entice players back in. Not only that, I am sure a lot of Switch players, due to not owning a WiiU, will be playing it for the first time, you lucky buggers. Pikmin is a very popular franchise and I will be splitting this review up into two halves, half talking about the game itself and half discussing its improvements from the WiiU version.
