Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a perfect game through and through. The level design is amazing, the story is charming, and the score is fantastic. I know I mentioned this before in the intro, but even though this is a rerelease, I'd say this is my game of the year so far. Genuinely perfect in every way.
Overall, a great start for the PS5 era and a perfect example of a game that doesn’t have to be in-your-face to still dazzle.
An astounding triumph of imagination, Sackboy: A Big Adventure isn't just one of the best platformers ever made, it's also a proper highlight of the PlayStation 5 launch line-up that is steeped in such fun and free wheeling creativity, that it deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as other PlayStation platforming heroes such as Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure is an audio-visual feast, a living work of art that continuously delights and amazes players with its bottomless well of creativity. Some pacing issues can't do much to detract from the amazing level design, tight platforming, and astounding soundtrack. Sackboy is a pure delight.
A warmly feel-good and highly accomplished 3D platformer filled with wonderous worlds and delightful characters, though Sackboy: A Big Adventure might lack the bombastic profile of other offerings such as Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and God of War, it's certainly no less essential than its PlayStation Studios brethren. Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a great big hug in videogame form and I cannot recommend it highly enough. PC owners are in for a treat.

Its heart was an unexpected delight, with a level of detail and polish that made it an absolute joy to play. Snipped free of the level creation side of LBP, Sackboy manages to swingamajig his way to platforming heights that the character never has before, in more detail than ever on PS5.

While the lack of online multiplayer at launch is disappointing this game still has plenty of content to play through while we wait for that patch. Sackboy: Big Adventure is a remarkable platforming title that presents well solidified concepts. Demonstrating an almost perfect gameplay, complemented with an interesting and differentiated level design is possibly one of Sony's most interesting bets for the beginning of this new generation. Complemented with an excellent characters' characterization, the protagonist in particular, it is a sure bet not only for fans of the genre, but also for players in general. The challenge remains for producers to take more risks in the future in order to evolve and present new concepts within the genre.
