Little Nightmares II is a gem of a game that successfully builds on everything that made the first one great. It's a short but well-polished and atmospheric horror-platformer that oozes with creepy charm. While its core physics-based platformer gameplay hasn't seen many radical changes, the setting, storytelling, and world-building alone make it worth experiencing. If you're a fan of the first entry or the likes of Limbo or Inside, LM2 is well worth the adventure … if you dare.

Whether you're a seasoned survivor or an all-new player, you'll have a thrilling time with the sequel. It's ideal to start from the beginning, but it's not mandatory – this freaky story stands on its own.

A visceral assault on the senses, Little Nightmares II drowns you in its thick, moody atmosphere and renders you helpless against the Pale City's many horrors. It is a meticulously crafted, devilishly clever puzzle-adventure that weaponizes every tool the medium has to offer to terrify you. While it retains many of the flaws that hurt its predecessor, its length, polish, and ambition propel it to the upper echelon of horror games.

Tarsier Studios delivers a suite worthy of its predecessor. The game does not pretend to reinvent the genre and despite the few problems tainting the gameplay, we feel that they put a lot of heart to the work to make this experience interesting and authentic, although too short.

Little Nightmares II is a must-play for any fans of indie sensations Limbo and Inside. If you've yet to play the first game, it's not necessary, per se, but is wholly recommended. Having played the first game, one can appreciate how much Little Nightmares II builds upon its predecessor. It's gloomy, gruesome, ghastly, but downright intoxicating.

Franklin Roosevelt once famously said that we have nothing to fear but fear itself. Then again, he was never chased by the oversized head of a giant schoolmarm with a serpentine neck. It’s just one example of the many surprises that Little Nightmares II has in store for players who wander into its bizarre and melancholic world. If you love creepy adventure thrillers with puzzle platforming to boot, this is one nightmare you’d want to tuck into.

Not only does Little Nightmares 2 live up to its name, but it also improves on nearly every aspect of the first game. Players may run into a few frustrating hiccups along the way, but exploring this horrific world with Mono and Six is immensely satisfying. At the end of the day, I'd recommend this one to any fan of surreal horror stories with emotional twists, though you might have trouble sleeping when it's all said and done.

Little Nightmares 2 is more of the same, but it is a deja vu of a very unique and enjoyable experience. Although it does not bring significant innovations and provides a brief experience, the art and design of the game is quite impressive. It is an essential game for anyone who enjoyed the first title, on the other hand, it is not a product that will change the opinion of those who did not like the predecessor.

Little Nightmares 2 surprises with an incredibly fascinating Story and some fitting grotesque locations that add to it. The new Gameplay elements doesn't really bring the expected additional game depth but besides that we really recommend this game for horror fans.

Little Nightmares II is a great sequel that builds on the strengths of the first game while making some key adjustments to the gameplay and the overall experience. This new chapter met all my expectations with a compelling story that ties into the first game beautifully. Although the controls are not as buttery smooth as I wish, it is a fun and quick little game that is very well put together.

Little Nightmares II offers an atmospheric romp inside a crazed, surreal world. Part horror, a little stealth with some platform-puzzle solving tossed-in make this a joy to play. It is short in length though, so bear that in mind if you are on a budget and perhaps wait for a sale. Some fiddly controls might get the better of you at times as well, but persevere and you have a very good game well worth checking out.
