A truly fantastic beat 'em up that's been brought back from the dead, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition is utterly sublime.
However for those looking to revisit this game, people with fond memories of a cult classic, they’ll find it a joy still to play and well worth a look. It plays brilliantly, has a really tough challenge to the gameplay and still inhabits all that charm and uniqueness you remember.
I really enjoyed playing Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition. A lot of my excitement for the game came from nostalgia, but playing it ultimately increased the appreciation I had for the original game. With most of the mechanics still the same, it wasn’t too difficult to pick up the game and get used to the controls. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game offers non-stop action with a story that new and old fans will have fun playing.
In the words of Wallace Wells it’s time to break out the L-word. I love this game a lot especially as a fan of the source material of which both the movie and the graphic novels get their time in the sun in terms of references. I really had an amazing and fun time playing through the game. This is a game I wholeheartedly recommend to fans of Scott Pilgrim and even people who like beat-em-ups and retro-style action games. It also warms my heart to see that this gem is also getting a physical release via Limited Run Games so I hope that Scott Pilgrim VS The World: The Game Complete Edition gets to be more readily available for those interested to play through. Scott Pilgrim VS The World: The Game Complete Edition has been a lost hidden gem for six to seven years!
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game – Complete Edition is an achievement in creators caring about their work and fans making their voices heard. This game’s return seemed impossible this time last year, but in the end love (and self respect) conquer all.

If you’re a fan of the graphic novels or the film, you’ll likely have something to love about the game. Come for the fantastic pixel art style, stay for the Anamanaguchi music. This is still the classic we deserve after half a decade.
The art style (borrowing heavily from the comics) is great, and the general vibe of the whole thing is well in keeping with the source material, but unless you’re a big fan of Scott Pilgrim or really like side-scrolling beat-em-ups, this isn’t one I’d recommend going out of your way to play.
After years of begging developers, publishers, outlets and artists, we finally have it in our hands once again. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game - Complete Edition is essential gaming.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition is as fresh and exciting today as it was ten years ago. This is one of the best beat ’em ups I’ve had the pleasure of playing during the past decade, and I sincerely hope that it will finally be able to stay on sale for a long time, because its original removal from online shops prevented millions of players from experiencing an adventure that deserves to be played and replayed countless times.

If I’ve learned anything from this experience it’s that hipsters, nostalgia, and emo kids are the real villains.

This is another one of those perfect games to enjoy with friends in multiplayer: it is a delight to coordinate attacks to finish off enemies or take advantage of extra modes. However, the title has some dubious design choices, such as the poorly implemented RPG aspects and unbalanced difficulty, which can keep the most demanding players away. But Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game is still fun to play and if, in the last ten years, found a love for the comic book that inspired it or the film that became a cultural icon, then this game is a really superb way to help celebrate that fandom. As a fighting game, this complete edition is absolutely worth to be in your collection but as a trip down memory lane, the asking price is worth battling an Evil Ex or two to have!
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition delivers what it has to but nothing more. Retro- and Comic-Fans will still have a lot of fun after all this time but for everyone else the expierence got a bit outdated over the years.

Despite my issues with several elements here, I can’t help but feel a fondness for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World – Complete Edition. I absolutely never expected this game to make a comeback. And even though there are issues that still need addressing and fixing, I feel this is a game fans will still enjoy. Hopefully, Ubisoft takes the time to make some positive changes. If they do, this will go from an average game with amazing ideas to a truly great game. And honestly, I feel that’s what fans deserve after so very long.
If you missed the DLC in the original release, it’s a nice thing to check out on a return trip. Knives Chau and Wallace Wells both feel like they’re not for newbies, which makes sense. And hey, maybe a new platform will let you coax friends and family into playing your fun game with you?
