Deathloop’s a solid shooter with room for creativity in how you approach the individual districts. But its hamfisted linear handholding of a single viable sequence of events to actually break the loop greatly diminishes the novelty of the experience and reduces the game down to what feels like a reskin of the Dishonored games.

Deathloop, despite its flaws, offers an enjoyable experience that fans of both first-person shooters and stealth action gameplay will find themselves enjoying.

Deathloop is an interesting game that is worth checking out. Coupled with the fact that the game is now available on Game Pass as well as PlayStation’s equivalent make it a no-brainer to try out. Arkane continues to deliver some truly unique experiences and now the game is finally available for owners of either new console to try. Don’t sleep on this game, even if like me you are not the biggest fan of this genre, Deathloop breaks the mold and is a ton of fun to play.

If you enjoyed Arkin's previous works, you will surely enjoy Deathloop. If you are not familiar with Arkin and its amazing games, Deathloop can still be a tasty potion that will encourage you to experience the rest of Arkin's games - which are also available on Gamepass.

Deathloop’s debut on the Xbox Series X is equally as good as it was on the PlayStation 5. You get the same great story and the same perfect gameplay experience. Choose one and enjoy.

One of the best games of 2021 for PS5… is easily one of the best for Xbox in 2022. Outstanding work of Arkane Studios.

One year later and Deathloop is still very much Deathloop. It's intriguing, boasts strong production values, and offers an interesting mix of immersive sim and roguelite mechanics. Unfortunately, this is all bogged down by repetitive gameplay, a so-so PvP mechanic, pacing issues, and iffy AI. It's worth a try, but your mileage may vary.

Deathloop is yet another confirmation of Arkane Lyon's unbridled creative talent. It captures us from the very first moments thanks to an intriguing premise and keeps us glued to the pad until the end credits with a constantly evolving gameplay, enhanced by a unique styling and a basically perfect level design. Enemy AI and the shooting system could have been better, but regardless of these limitations it's a game absolutely worth trying.

Deathloop remains Arkane’s best work, and it’s fantastic that Xbox players can finally get in on Cole’s deadly groundhog day. Its unique structure and sheer scope, coupled with the signature Arkane gameplay that has been polished to within an inch of its life, feels like the work of a developer finally fully realizing a vision that began many years ago with the original Dishonoured. Despite the lacking AI, Deathloop is a modern-day classic that should not be overlooked by anyone, something that should hopefully now be made easier by having its audience extended to the Xbox.

Get busy unlocking new powers, blinking in behind bad guys, stabbing and shooting and skulking around, scouring environments for clues, choosing which lead to follow next as you push and pull and probe every corner, every wrinkle of this labyrinthian puzzle box. And it's on Game Pass too? You're spoiling us, Microsoft.

Yet another elegantly composed and impeccably designed Arkane sandbox, Deathloop is an intricate murder puzzle that’s part-Hitman, part-roguelite, and entirely sensational. There are few better ways to kill time.

Deathloop is a deeply kinetic game where everything feels at its best and most satisfying when you’re on the move, teleporting around cover and force-pushing people off rooftops. And as repetitious as it can be, the act of moving, shooting, and engineering the slaughter of dozens of costumed enemies is so exquisitely tuned that the mischief never loses its lively spark.

Honestly, I just can’t recommend Deathloop enough to all you Xbox Series owners out there. It’s a fantastic game, that leans heavily into the identity crafted by Arkane Studio when they released Dishonored nearly a decade ago. It’s clever, fun, witty, and pure chaos at its best, what’s to hate about that?

Deathloop is charming, enticing and exhilarating. In 2021, Deathloop may have been the PC and PS5 game of the year for now, and now in 2022, it’s the turn of the Xbox.

Deathloop is the best game Arkane has ever made, which is saying something. It is a brilliant culmination of their learnings over the years, and I absolutely love it. World-class writing, world-building, and story are matched with fun gameplay, great performance, and one of the smartest game worlds I’ve ever seen. It’s finally out on Xbox and it’s on Game Pass so do yourself a favor and play this near-masterpiece.

As much of an odyssey as it was, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Deathloop. It's one of the more thoughtful and well-crafted games out there and one of the best things you can play on the PS5. In addition to everything else, I liked the game's sexy, graphic-novelish cartoon vibe in its visuals that made every area burst to life and fun to explore. It's a true piece of art and is definitely worth your time … over and over.

Deathloop is an incredibly unique FPS, blending together some of the best aspects of Arkane’s previous work. Whether you prefer to sneak and target your prey slowly, or to tackle the challenge head-on with a limitless arsenal of weapons and powers. Deathloop blends an intriguing narrative, with incredibly diverse combat, and truly makes it one of the best games on PlayStation 5 right now. It is without a doubt one of the best games by Arkane to date.

I’d say wait until Deathloop is on sale. I’m sure plenty of people out there will enjoy its chaotic gameplay and wacky humour. But this isn’t the perfect game some are saying it is. And it certainly didn’t blow me away.
