Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Reviews
The Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart PC port is spectacular, but it has a few issues that need to be sorted out, like our favorite Lombax fixing an issue with his wrench.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart shows where the series is going in the near future. There are some minor hiccups and wasted opportunities, but the new chapter is undoubtedly a solid one.

And with dimensional portals opening and closing throughout Rift Apart's many locales, the general idea is you can instantly travel between highly-detailed worlds.
Easily the best Ratchet & Clank game in the series, Rift Apart also manages to be the most technically and graphically impressive game of the current generation so far.
With an incredible arsenal of weapons, thrilling combat, a charming story full of loveable characters, and visuals to make your eyes pop, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart might just be the best game in the series to date.
With over a dozen games in the long-running series, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart still manages to feel fresh and exciting, taking full advantage of the PlayStation 5 by delivering what, for many, may be their first taste at a definitive next-gen feeling game for the still-budding platform.
From the very first level to the very last, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart is a true gaming treat that I thoroughly enjoyed and it was like being a Rollercoaster ride between dimensions. It delivered an almost flawless gaming experience that boasts next-gen visuals and mechanics plus an over the top and light-hearted story with two equally entertaining and engaging protagonists, Ratchet and Rivet. So if you're looking for that true next-gen exclusive on the PlayStation 5, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart is indeed that game that makes it my first must play title of 2021.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the latest installment in the long-running franchise, but how does it stand? It is the first PS5 exclusive for the franchise and one of the few in general since the console's launch; it has a lot to prove to gamers and fans of Insomniac.
While the core gameplay behind Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is still as fun today as it was when it first came out on the PS5 two years ago, the fact that this is the first time a game in the franchise has been playable on PC is definitely worth noting. If you can manage to jump over the proverbial hurdle of needing a decent gaming PC to play, Rift Apart is definitely worth your time and money.
The excellent Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart gets a very strong port. It has a few blemishes but this is still the absolute best way to play a game that’s an adventurous blast from start to finish.
Rift Apart is a gorgeous game with great gameplay and fantastic story that suffers from unpolished PC port that results to constant frame drops throughout the game.
Despite some flaws at its day-one, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is an enjoyable experience on PC and this port is far from the issues we recently experienced on the PC release of The Last of Us - Part I.

But that familiarity also extends to being familiar with the core, unshakeable competence of these solid platforming adventures that are designed for pretty much anyone to have a good time with. As a dimension-hopping adventure, Rift Apart might leave something to be desired. But as a reunion with one of gaming’s most energetically silly franchises, after so many years away, there are worse things you could wish for than the same old Ratchet And Clank.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a fun and charming adventure with good level design and better movement options. Just like other Insomniac's projects it can feel derivative and safe, but that doesn't take away from its quality.

Dynamic duo is back and they are more dynamic than ever. And they are not just a duo anymore with Rivet and a new gang across dimensions.

A fast-paced game with a good amount of varied content. It might not be the jump some expected but it's nevertheless a well-done game suitable for a lot of players.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is easily the best game in the series by far.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart could be one of the first true all-encompassing showcases for the PS5. Every time I sat down to play it, I felt like I was about to start a really long episode of a good show. If there's one small nitpick, it's that I felt that some of the larger confrontations got slightly repetitive - I mean, how many versions of "juggernauts" am I supposed to fight? Also, one might get the sense that not enough risks were taken and that the game's design, as cool as it is, feels comfortable and safe. That feels like a discussion for the artists among us, and this doesn't feel like the time for a literary salon. I am on my third playthrough of Rift Apart, and I'm enjoying it as much as the first time I went through it. Sometimes, all a game has to be is fun.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a superb blockbuster game that hits its brief perfectly.
