Don't come into Loop Hero with expectations simply because you've never really played anything like this before. Whatever those expectations might be, they're probably wrong. But do come into Loop Hero as it embodies so much of what makes games great: storytelling, engaging interactions with a digital world, the rewards of looting, world building, strategy, but most of all that ceaseless desire to just dip in for one more run.
All in all, this is a much more relaxed experience than the PC version, for better or worse. It’s still incredibly satisfying to one-shot an enemy as the rogue, tank as the warrior, and unleash armies of the dead as the necromancer. If you didn’t get the opportunity to play Loop Hero the first time around, I heartily recommend checking it out on Switch. But if you can play this game on PC, you probably should.
Loop Hero remains as charming as ever. It's an easy to pick game, with a fun concept and great execution, and the Switch release gives it a whole new life. Now you can save the world anytime and anywhere.

Loop Hero is yet another stunning gem that fans of the rogue-lite genre will enjoy. It’s a blend of so many different types of games that it becomes a completely unique entity on its own, and it’s hard to think of anything else that offers an experience quite like this one. It’s a game that forces you to trust in your own decisions, commit to them, and either reap the rewards or face the consequences. There’s no control, and that’s the beauty of this game.
Despite the repetitiveness inherant to the genre, the player is constantly hooked by the depth of the game, filled with subtelties and hidden features. Indeed, Loop Hero encourages him to experiment new approaches in order to gather more and more loot or to confront the four bosses of the game, the latter being no mean feat.

Loop Hero proves to be a fascinating and creative take on an RPG, distilling the genre down to its most important gameplay elements and throwing in some fresh ideas. Though some may be put off by the obviously repetitive nature of the core gameplay, Loop Hero is a consistently rewarding and engaging game that'll easily get its hooks in you. The light deckbuilding elements, anti-tower defense gameplay, and solidly paced loot system make Loop Hero easy to love and we'd give this one a high recommendation to anyone interested in trying something a little different.
There is nothing like Loop Hero, and it feels born for Nintendo Switch. If you love roguelikes, nothing should stop you from playing this refreshingly weird game. And if you're like me and generally detest roguelikes, I sincerely believe you might be captivated enough by the game's unique and imaginative mechanics that you might not even think of it as a roguelike. The game just is what it is - it's Loop Hero. And it's the best example of indie ingenuity.
Loop Hero is one of the most interesting roguelites we've set our eyes on recently. The idea of "taking away" the player's participation from the fights finds vent in a real "metagame" in which to define the canons of the adventure to be faced. Thanks to an out-of-scale playful richness, the discoveries will be able to stimulate the journey to the end credits, and also to look around for new secrets.
