The Climb 2 follows in the same steps, or ledges, of the previous title The Climb. The Climb was a great must-have title for the Quest platform, and The Climb 2 is no slouch either. There isn’t a story in The Climb 2 unless you count your own journey within each level. You climb up mountains, across rope ladders, hanging off skyscrapers, or jump from ledge to ledge, crafting your own story. The Climb 2 is focused on simulating heights and the gameplay mechanic of navigating through each of the five levels and the various paths within each that can vary in length, difficulty.

The Climb 2 is light on content beyond the main draw, as "glove and accessory unlocks" are not going to be enough to satisfy everyone once they've finished all the stages. But like the original, I'm going to be returning to it every time I get the itch to climb something.

The Climb 2's new ideas and gameplay mechanics make it more varied and attractive, but without going too far from the first game's proposal. It's still a very enjoyable climing arcade game, with options, unlockables, rankings and achievements that will hook you up for a good amount of time.

The Climb 2 improves the predecessor in practically every sense, from graphics to gameplay, even if some absence still prevents Crytek from reaching excellence.

The Climb 2 remains too unbalanced in muscle activity to really perform the task of the only fitness game in VR. If that's your purpose, it must necessarily go hand in hand with other "sports" virtual reality experiences, including the well-researched FitXR and VRWorkout.

It's decent exercise, and a great experience for those who can't visit the mountain range for a climb. Cheaper than all of that mountaineering equipment, too.

he Climb 2 is as much of a challenge as you want it to be, which I appreciated a lot. Whether playing around in casual mode or going for achievements on professional mode, I had a good time. While there were some issues and I’d like to see more content, it kept me playing until I got tired and then I dove back in for more. I especially liked the variety in each level.

Five years after the critically acclaimed The Climb, it's finally time to go back on a rock-climbing game. Exclusive to Oculus Quest, The Climb 2 doesnt't try to get to new heights as it offers only one new environment and it feels like it's kind of limited technically speaking. Still very enjoyable if you didn't play the first one.

Or you can remove the stress altogether and play on the lowest difficulty setting, which eliminates the stamina meter, allowing the player to zoom up the side of each environment and focus on enjoying the view and the experience. You do have to play the climbs in each environment in order of difficulty to unlock them in the scored modes where you unlock new gear. But every single climb is available to try on the casual setting from the jump, a welcome feature for anyone who just wants to be a virtual tourist on these mountains and structures.
