NieR Replicant Ver 1.22474487139… is an incredible Role-playing game that transports new fans of the franchise back to its humble beginnings, while offering veteran fans an alternative new look. Its reliance on artificially bloating difficulty by just adding more enemies is a bit annoying, and there are certain areas where the newly added breadth and scale do not translate all too well from the original. However, its unique combat and stunning visuals offering a bleak look into what the future may hold, are truly phenomenal. The game is arguably not for everyone either, given how it does break some classic J-RPG rules. With that said, it does carve a path for itself through conventional gameplay in ways that will hook anyone willing to embrace its unique presentation and gameplay.
As a remaster, Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139… represents another kind of second chance, this time for a cult game to find an audience that eluded it the first time around.
This handful of nitpicks notwithstanding, NieR Replicant is a resounding success and a great opportunity to experience a remastered version of this hidden gem.
Despite my complaints, it’s clear that the remake is most definitely the best way to experience what Nier has to offer. The improved visuals, performance and additional content are all much appreciated, and while it’s still a title with notable flaws, it’s infinitely easier to recommend to all who are willing to put in the time and effort to embark on a journey they’ll not soon forget.
Nier Replicant is exactly the intermediate moment between a mediocre action RPG and a design masterpiece

Nier Replicant™ ver.1.22474487139... manages to fix the issues that plagued the original release, but the PC port introduces a few new ones that can thankfully be solved by mods. It is, however, a beautiful work with a truly great soundtrack that deserves its place as a great story-driven game.

Asking morally-challenging questions again and again, Nier Replicant is yet another powerful, immersive and genuinely artistic title from Yoko Taro.
Nier Replicant tells a deep, nostalgic story that can only happen within the confines of video games, as parts of the story needs to be felt by actually experiencing the gameplay, and eventually leaves its audience with lots of moral dilemma.

This game is really more than the sum of its parts. The overall experience, from the character development, the devastating and mind-reeling revelations that plot throws at you, and even the new bits of content specially made for this game make it worthwhile.
Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139, while being a remaster of a 2010 title, presents visuals, history and characters that match the best that exists today. Truly, a title that manages to give the player a deep and memorable experience. Featuring an excellent soundtrack, a refreshing and refined gameplay, and a whole new ending that presents a generous amount of new and in-depth content to the lore of Nier, this is truly a must-have edition for any fan of the saga.

NieR Replicant can feel too slow at parts, but it’s a journey well worth taking (over and over and over). Its story is moving and asks big questions about the nature of humanity, and playing it in 2021 really opened my eyes to how ahead of its time this game must have been in 2010. Combine that story with some kinetic combat, absorbing atmosphere and characters, and a haunting score and you have one of the year’s strongest experiences. It’s held back somewhat by its overly-simplistic mission structure and reliance on backtracking, but the good easily outweighs the bad. NieR Replicant, like its sequel, is a game that makes you think, feel, and dream—all while giving players a very enjoyable gaming experience. It’s the textbook definition of a flawed masterpiece, overcoming its weaknesses to deliver something compelling and affirming.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... will be able to build on the success of Nier Automata. With the incredibly exciting story, fantastic characters and the nimble battle system, every action RPG lover will get their money's worth. However, there are definitely deductions for the unnecessary waiting times between the areas. Also, the boring side quests (with a few exceptions) are not up to date. What is also not up to date is the graphics. Since this hasn't been pimped, you have the same presentation as it was on the PS3 back in the day. All in all, you can spend a lot of time in NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.... The different endings let you see the story from different perspectives. There is also a completely new ending that can only be found in this version.

The best way to play a cult classic and experience the wonderful storytelling abilities of Yoko Taro. Nier Replicant is a worthy version upgrade to accompany 2017's successful Nier Automata
Nier Replicant is a game I dedicated 80 hours to and I don’t regret it. The game is supremely fun to play. I wouldn’t say it’s addictive but I found myself enchanted by its setting. Every action was seamless and as smooth as a baby’s bottom. Although, mid-air combat definitely felt clunky unless I first locked on to enemies. What was the quintessential highlight of this experience was the music. I can’t understate how fantastic it is and I find myself humming tunes randomly, especially this. I am in love with Kainé and find her tragic tale impactful and meaningful. Each character felt alive and vibrant in a grim way. It’s hard to describe in all honestly so please, do yourself a favor and play this game. Nier Replicant isn’t a flawless masterpiece but what it hits, it nails. The music, the gameplay, and the characters result in my claim that this is a must buy.
Nier Replicant is a chameleon -- its slow start serves as a siren song that leads to explosive emotional crescendos and satisfying narrative payoffs.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… improves the original in a right and very careful way that transforms the slightly jank title into a much more enjoyable experience. However, not even the best remaster or remake could change the fact that NieR demands plenty of benevolence from its players.

Great remaster with some new additions and a few flaws of the original.

Initiating enthralling encounters with a collection of threatening foes, the weird and wondrous composition laid out in antagonist design, the crème de la crème of voice acting royalty that portrays the cast and of course an encroaching campaign that readjusts its native timeline and removes a categoric misnomer that had plagued Western audiences for decades in gaming. NieR Replicant ver1.2 has been a supremely sublime experience that I will never forget.
