As an expansion, Wrath of the Druids is extremely good. It adds so much wonderful content to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that it makes it extremely easy to overlook the few small oddities it brings along. The story is, without a doubt, the strongest facet of Wrath of the Druids. While it may feel a bit short (coming in at around fifteen hours), it does take Evior across the majority of Ireland by means of an engrossing story arc. It also lets players soak up all of the lusciousness of the green and rainy Irish countryside, and hosts a vast number of beautiful vistas to enjoy and get lost in. Lastly, The Children of Danu are a cool new faction adding much-needed flavour to a world previously dominated by the usual bandit or Dane infested roads of England – the new gear is pretty awesome to collect too. Wrath of the Druids feels like Ubisoft tried to one-up Fate of Atlantis, while simultaneously keeping unnecessary waffling in the narrative to a minimum – thus enhancing everything else the expansion has to offer. It is an absolute must-play for all gamers who enjoy Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

“Wrath of the Druids” is an excellent DLC. It does everything right in setting the new locale apart from its neighbor to the east while delivering a strong new plot and set of characters. Not every new mechanic feels fully realized, but for what they do offer, I enjoyed them and particularly enjoyed the way they played into the greater mythos and context of the game as a whole. If the remainder of Assassin’s Creed Valhall‘s major DLC—and future Assassin’s Creed stories, for that matter—follow suit, I’ll be very glad for it.

Gamers have been proven time and time again that video game extensions can be valuable and rich. Expansion that was able to stand out and be admired in the size of big games. However, Wrath of the Druids has no parameters to get the tag of worth, and simply intends to entertain the audience by repeating everything we saw in the main game on a smaller scale.

‘Wrath of the Druids’ marks a triumphant return for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, with the luscious landscapes but eerie vibe making for a unique and enjoyable adventure. It definitely takes a much darker turn than what players faced in the base game, especially when it comes to dealing with the titular Druids themselves… With its more streamlined approach, its wonderful world, and the enjoyable missions, ‘Wrath of the Druids’ is a fantastic piece of content. It sends Eivor on a journey that feels unlike anything experienced in England, and it makes for a damn good time.

The new setting has plenty of charm and is just different enough to differentiate it from England, the story is well done and moves at a good pace, and there’s a lot to see and do.

If you liked Valhalla, which I did, and want more of it, then you’ll probably like Wrath of the Druids. But the sudden drop in quality of writing and insignificant gameplay additions adds less than I wanted or expected. Let’s hope the next expansion provides a better setting and properly explores the main game’s fallout.

There are some new brilliant ideas like the Druid enemies and the new locales are a sight to behold but all in all, this just ten to fifteen more hours the same Assassin’s Creed experience which is the best news for the die-hard fans of the franchise.

An intriguing story that demands your attention, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids brings the fun in narrative and less so when it comes to less significant quests.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids is an excellent extension of what the base game offers fans. Its focus on uncovering a mystery is embedded in the campaign and missions. Roaming around Ireland provides a new playground for fans to explore but at the cost of a few empty areas. Still, there’s so much to discover here that just being able to spend more time in this world is reason enough to return.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla "Wrath of the Druids" is the type of dlc Ubisoft has accustomed us as a rule, with certain exceptions. It has a well-argued story, spun and respecting the traditions of the culture to which it refers, as well as adding extras at the gameplay level and several new mechanics. Finally, enjoy a really beautiful landscape and sound pieces that will delight our trip at every step. A dlc worth acquiring.

Assassin Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids is the DLC with a large amount of content, but no innovative changes in gameplay have been made. For those who are new to the game, it is a DLC that can be played together, but there is no power enough to force who have played the main part a long time ago to reinstall the game.

Wrath of the Druids is an excellent first DLC for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The expansion offers a challenging new enemy, a comprehensive story, and a beautiful country to explore. Not everything is perfect, but if this is the benchmark for future DLC, then players will be very happy!

(7/10) Apart from being one of the most stunning, atmospheric depictions of Dublin in recent memory, Wrath of the Druids adds another 10-15 hours of content to a game that’s already loaded with it. For the most part, that content is good, I like the focus on building up Dublin’s reputation by supplying resources, and performing Kings Requests with sub-categories, but the DLC goes back to these mission types a bit too often over the course of the campaign, and ultimately feels a bit stale and not quite varied enough for it.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids is a solid stand-alone story experience that takes place during Valhalla's storyline. While boasting a decent story, it never breaks the mold of the established formula, feeling more like "yet another kingmaker story" rather than an adventure that lives up to the potential of the setting. It has a few new ideas and spins a few old mechanics into a new form, but at the end of the day, it plays it way too safe, which causes it to feel uninspired. If you loved Valhalla, this DLC will give you more of that, but if you're already fatigued by its repetitive gameplay, Wrath of the Druids won't change that.
