Rising Hell is too small for the environment it builds, but it does have the characteristics of an addictive and intense game, suitable for short bursts. For lovers of the roguelike genre, it is a greater satisfaction to conclude the small campaign and venture into even more challenging difficulties, but it's a bit lacking for more traditional players. After all, hell is certainly terrible, but there are still those who dare to venture there, whatever the cost.

You'll soon fall in love with this game while you sit and play it, although it has not enough contents to play for a long time.

Rising Hell is a great arcade action title. It is exciting to climb a hellish tower infested with monsters and dangers, mainly because of the fast pace and agile mechanics. There are many ways to explore and those who enjoy a good challenge will find options to continually increase the difficulty. However, the diversity of content is limited, making every run very similar to each other. In the end, Rising Hell is a good option for quick matches and pure and immediate fun.

Roguelikes and roguelites are notorious for having high difficulty curves, but Rising Hell doesn't feel too punishingly hard even in the beginning, likely due to the length of the levels. It's a worthwhile effort from Indonesian developer Tahoe Games and it's one to look out for as it keeps getting better.

Rising Hell is a surprisingly good game that took a simple level design idea and made it work with the roguelite genre. If you’re into demon slaying to heavy metal and enjoy the roguelite loop then this will be a title to pick up.

Rising Hell's verticality and butter-like combat system make it feel unique in an increasingly popular genre. It looks awesome, sounds fantastic and for its price point, it's definitely worth your time. While you will not be playing for hundreds of hours, your relatively short time slaying demons will be fast, frenetic and very enjoyable.

Rising Hell is a standout roguelite that isn’t trying to break your budget. Those new to the genre and diehards alike will find plenty of depth to this challenging skill-based experienced. Its lasting power is yet to be seen, but bursts of gameplay provide enough to warrant multiple playthroughs as you try to get further. Rising Hell delivers a unique spin on the roguelite formula and creates a balanced experience for any who plays.

Rising Hell is a thoroughly lovely coffee-break action roguelike that is friendly to quick play sessions, but provides enough longevity to keep you coming back for more. Its relatively short individual runs make it an especially good game to have on hand for when you don’t have a lot of time but still feel like kicking some ass, and its varied unlockables mean that each run can feel markedly different from the last if you want it to.

Rising Hell is a great entry by Tahoe Games, offering a unique take on the genre. The game is simple enough to understand and pick up and play by even newcomers but offers just enough challenge to cater to fans of the genre. While the lack of depth, especially with builds that directly affect replayability, is disappointing, this is overshadowed because of the rather small but very talented dev team.
