No amount of charm and cute art is enough to hide The Company Man’s skeletons in its closet. It’s not the most superficial and worst title I’ve played, but there are way better and more rewarding indie 2D platforming options out there.

The Company Man is a 2d platform game recommended. In favor we find a great artistic section with a sensational finish and an epic story that will have you sticked to the screen from start to finish. But its level design is terribly monotonous and can become tiresome at some points.

The Company Man is a fun action platformer, but with some balance issues and checkpoints miles apart it's hard to recommend over its peers.

The Company Man is a beautiful action platformer that is crammed with character. Forust Studio has laced the game with social commentary that truly enhances the experience. Even though it has a few pacing issues and lacks replay value, this is an enjoyable fight against capitalism.

The Company Man may not be the most original of 2D platforming adventures, but it certainly makes climbing the corporate ladder a fun (and often outrageous) task. The platforming was enjoyable, beating up bosses was satisfying, whilst the visuals were top notch too – it really does tick a lot of boxes as far as the genre is concerned, even if the adventure itself is a short-lived one that doesn’t really do anything you wouldn’t have seen before. But hey, who needs originality when you’re bashing annoying co-workers and managers over the head with a keyboard, right?

The Company Man is an exciting platformer with no shortage of action and challenges. From enemies that shoot ice at Jim to customer service representatives that breathe fire, there's a good variety of adversaries to avoid or defeat before moving on to the next level. The Company Man is an immensely fun platformer reminiscent of old school games, but with a modern look at corporate corruption.

When you’re looking for a way to try to add some spice to a tried and true style of play in a game it doesn’t hurt to use theming that skewers an institution people generally understand...

The Company Man plays out like I expected it to, but in a good way. The floors each look different, even though they look different they don't play too differently from one to the next. Boss battles are fun and different enough that I looked forward to playing each one at the end of a floor. Some of the upgrading options felt a little slow for my taste, but I only have minor complaints to file with H.R. about the game.

I really liked The Company Man. It’s another strong addition to the indie 2D platforming catalog even if it didn’t reinvent the wheel. The main draw of the game is no doubt the setting and its satirical view of the workplace which makes it stand out from the crowd. Despite all the positives, there are some areas where the game didn’t fully live up to its potential and that is what keeps it out of the elite tier. The Company Man is a strong addition to anyone’s gaming library.

The Company Man is a competent platformer with beautifully hand-drawn artwork. The character designs are impressive. The boss battles are genuine, and each boss is unique in its design. However, the game suffers from some design flaws, mainly around the inability to aim projectiles and duck. This will require you to rethink how you may handle some of the more challenging bosses. In addition, the story isn't intriguing, and it's disappointing that the story didn't match the beauty of the game's art.

With enjoyable gameplay, fascinating aesthetics and energetic moments, The Company Man is an excellent recommendation for platform game fans. The title stands out by presenting a creative interpretation of the business theme, even though some problems, such as poorly distributed checkpoints, hinder the final result.

The Company Man is a short experience with an exciting idea but the app was average at best as a result of the generally boring gaming experience with no value to re-experience.

Entertaining, engaging and visually formidable. The Company Man could have been the definitive satire on corporations and the competitive pleasures of work were it not for its limitations in handling its own critique.

In The Company Man, you risk it all to climb the corporate ladder… or get fired trying. At least, in theory. It's a 2D Action Platformer that looks absolutely fantastic... but underperforms when it comes to the actual gameplay.

I did not expect to like The Company Man as much as I did. Sure, it has some gameplay limitations stemming from some design choices, but not only did I enjoy the fluidity of its controls, and especially its inventive boss battles, but I couldn’t stop laughing and relating to the unhealthy amount of postmodern corporate satire included in here.

The Company Man is an action-platformer that takes boss fights to a more literal standpoint. Instead of fighting terrifying monsters or evil enemies, I fought my way through the corporate ladder. Was this game a refreshing break from the typical escapades of an adventurer? Or was it just another day in the nine to five? Find out in this Rapid Review.

The Company Man is a short lived rage against the machine that is funnier than it is fun, if that makes any sense. I did absolutely enjoy my time with the game, and Forust’s beautiful cartoon styling that has made an accurate mockery out of big corporations is incredibly well thought out. But while hacking through familiar lackeys and poking fun at business tropes is uproariously enjoyable, beneath a veneer of well crafted jokes is only some pretty easy platforming and combat, and when coupled with a run time that’s shorter than some appraisal meetings, the gameplay ultimately keeps the overall experience from breaking the glass ceiling.

At a time when trading sweat pants for slacks in a bid to return to the office is a dreaded drag, The Company Man reminds us exactly of what we hoped to leave back in the “before times.” With that being said, it’s handled in such a clever and fun way that brawling with colleagues becomes almost cathartic. If you’re tired of being a cog in the corporate machine and want to stick it to the man, The Company Man offers that pick-up-and-platforming-play that’ll surely bring joy to your lunch hour.

The Company Man is truly an interesting take on an Action Platformer game. It provides brilliant mechanics to traverse around the entire game design, which is complemented by a mind-blowing art style which truly sets the plot at any level. However, certain enemy type breaks the flow of the games, which forces you to spend more time with a level. And the storyline which starts well slowly breaks apart as it develops towards the climax.
